So today I found out I’m pregnant with #1 ! & I honestly haven’t stopped crying with happiness all morning. Although I know it’s early days, I just wanted to see if there were any other early Oct babies due so that we can share the journey! I’m over the moon ❤️❤️❤️❤️

@SkyBlue20 Also feeling kind of ok thanks... although I had about 3 minutes this evening of horrendous lower back pain which made me feel sick and was quite strong - sort of reminded me of similar pain I'd had in labour 3 years ago 😧 like extreme mega back period pain. It went though and I'm hoping is just normal and to do with hormones increasing?! How are you all feeling?

Daisy2206 · 06/02/2020 21:36

@Ellabella234 I have also had a bit of back pain this evening. I'm feeling super tired today and am actually going to go to bed in a sec! How are you feeling?

Ellabella234 · 06/02/2020 21:41

@Daisy2206 Was it quite intense back pain? I'm shattered and in bed now too! When are you all ringing gp/midwife? I've just moved house and found out today I'm out of catchment for current surgery so have to go to the new one and fill in forms for myself, OH and DD before I can get started with everything!xx

Spark27 · 06/02/2020 22:29

@SkyBlue20, it's my 2nd. Got a little girl. Her birthday is currently the same as this ones EDD! Hoping the 12w scan changes that though, and aware it's very unlikely to come one the same day. But could save me a fortune in birthday parties in the future.....Grin

Found this pregnancy to be completely different so far, even so early in. Didn't really have any nausea with the first. Didn't feel bloated early on, and didn't feel anywhere near as tired. But thay could be due to looking after a toddler now

EndoEl · 06/02/2020 23:41

I'm about five weeks pregnant so will be early October! Have been having some complications thought so I really hope baby hangs on in there 😢 congratulations xx

bluemoon2468 · 07/02/2020 05:44

Last night I had the most intense cramping pain down one side of my lower body, like a really bad aching pain down the right hand side of my uterus and down my thigh. It was horrible and I've never felt anything like it before. Then went away and I feel fine. Pregnancy is bringing me new joys every day! Was listening to a podcast yesterday and they said that 60% of the changes that are going to happen to your body in pregnancy have already happened by 8 weeks 😳

BecauseReasons · 07/02/2020 06:39

@Spark27 same here- already have a girl, symptoms very different this time around but so far much easier than last time! Less nausea than last time, less bloating. More tired, but probably due to reduced sleep quantity and quality.

Treacle81 · 07/02/2020 08:26

@bluemoon2468 I seem to be getting v similar symptoms as you at same time! xx

Hi ladies, how are you all getting on? Has anyone read / is reading any fab books? I'm reading "The No Guilt Pregnancy Plan" which I really recommend and DH is reading "How to be a Dad" 🥺 bless him! I've got a big stack because I'm a massive bookworm but always keen to hear other recommendations! X

SkyBlue20 · 07/02/2020 08:38

@Ellabella234 Did you do another FRER? Did mine this morning and nice big, dark line. Phew! I didn’t know my cycle lengths either but I tried different options and it was the same due date regardless - I think it just counts 40 weeks from the first day of your last period.
I’m feeling ok, thanks - slight cramping this morning but am generally ok ☺️ Hope your backache has eased off!
I’ve already called and booked my midwife appt, it’s on 19th ☺️

@Spark27 How amazing that baby has the same due date as your little girl! It would definitely itely make parties easier 🥳

Sending lots of love and positive thoughts to you, @EndoEl 💕

@bluemoon2468 that sounds horrible, hope you’re Ok now. Do you have any good pregnancy podcast recommendations? I’ve just been listening to Happy Mum Happy Baby (which I love anyway) with Mother Pukka as the guest and had to turn it off as a lot of talk about miscarriage and just making me too anxious at this stage!

Ellabella234 · 07/02/2020 08:44

@SkyBlue20 Yes just did one! It's darker too this is my line progression 10dpo, 11dpo and 13dpo. I just stupidly made a post asking if the line progression looks good enough and whether most mums get their bloods checked so that all is as it should be and now I feel stupid cos it's obviously darker and I should just be trusting my body!! How do you get posts removed on here?! 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ feeling a bit nauseas this morning at the moment. Usually the calculators ask for cycle length. I think mine is saying 17 Oct 🥰 when is everyone else's saying?x

Ellabella234 · 07/02/2020 08:50

Oh no scrap that it is 13 Oct !!

Quiffy · 07/02/2020 09:01

I think the hormones are REALLY kicking in. Im around 5 weeks atm, the pillow is amazing and DH is being smug. He's not too bothered about the size as he was snugging into it too. It's the tiredness that's getting me now, I just cant seem to get a good night's sleep, think I'm going to have to implore a better bedtime routine with books rather than Netflix. I was awake on and off from 3am as DH snuggled in and grabbed a boob in his sleep. I woke up screeching. Think I'll try and power through work so I can go have a nap.

@Ellabella234 your line is coming along really well! The two apps I used while ttc are suggesting 9th/10th October for me. I'm really liking the Ovia pregnancy app too as it's giving lots of updates about size and development squueee.

@Catred4 oooo I'll look that one up!

Got my midwife appointment booked for 28th Feb and now looking to book a private scan in. Very exciting (/terrifying hahaha)

MrsB1821 · 07/02/2020 11:04

Just listened to ‘what to expect when expecting’ - very good x

Jch89 · 07/02/2020 11:20

I had a positive test yesterday on my birthday, I can't believe it!!

Baby number 1, due around October 10th, eeeek!!

Quiffy · 07/02/2020 11:53

@jch89 congratulations!!!

Ellabella234 · 07/02/2020 12:22

@Quiffy I've downloaded the Pregnancy+ app and its really lovely. Wasn't sure what one to get. How soon do you think I should book in with midwife? I know it's before 10 weeks but my mum is saying I can leave it a little while yet (only 4.5week now). I have to change surgeries so a bit of a process first before I can book in anyway x

Ellabella234 · 07/02/2020 12:22

Congratulations to all of us ☺️

bluemoon2468 · 07/02/2020 12:28

@Catred4 I've just finished Expecting Better - MASSIVELY recommend. Have got Hypnobirthing by Siobhan Miller arriving today, as well as Pregnancy for Men by Mark Woods for DH!

bluemoon2468 · 07/02/2020 12:29

@Ellabella234 I've booked in with my midwife already - I'm 5+2 and my appointment is scheduled for 8+3.

LexiM · 07/02/2020 12:45

@Ellabella234 I would call to book now because you don’t know how busy they are and there could be a wait anyway. I’m getting impatient as waiting to hear from the midwife since doing the referral form.

I am using a pregnancy app but definitely want to get some books too. I keep wondering if it’s too early to get them yet!

Quiffy · 07/02/2020 13:03

@Ellabella234 I agree with @lexim I'd try and phone now. When I did 28th Feb was the first appointment they had, which is when I'll be around 8 weeks.

I was going to pick up some books in a charity shop but then I worried everyone would know why I was buying them 😅

LexiM · 07/02/2020 13:08

@quiffy haha same - looking around all paranoid to see if anyone is watching!

Zaalfruit · 07/02/2020 14:12

Love reading all the messages here - works so boring and I’m getting so tired already .
