Hi,

Starting a thread for ladies in early pregnancy after one or more miscarriages or stillbirths. A safe place to let off steam and hopefully grow healthy rainbows together......

@SammiLou2312 Pip is a very cute name! I don't feel confident enough yet to name mine - hopefully if the next scan on the 24th is positive I might feel in a better place.

@TunnocksTcake I have the same basketball sized boobs, they feel like they weigh a tonne and are very sore most of the time - it feels almost like they're bruised. Well done on exercising! I wasn't a big exerciser before but feel too scared to do anything beyond walking at the moment.

@Knotemma @Nooodles you have given me a super noodle craving now!!!! Will definitely be picking some up at the weekend.
I have the odd wave of nausea at different points in the day, it's the type that sends me running for biscuits rather than for the toilet and I'm definitely snacking far more than I should..... I'm trying to put off weighing myself as was overweight to start with and am nervous that it'll be piling on.
I don't feel too tired in the day but come the evening I'm far more sleepy than usual. I've booked to go out for dinner tomorrow night with DH and there wasn't a table available until 8.30 so I might have to fit in a power nap first!

@Avocuddles I'm the same as you, not yet quite confident enough to name yet beyond "Bean".

Glad your feeling up to going out tomorrow, I hope you and DH have a wonderful time x

Nooodles · 13/02/2020 18:15

@Avocuddles @Knotemma I may or may not have found an old packet of super noodles and snacked on them this afternoon... 👀

Sunflower1608 · 13/02/2020 18:17

Right I caved. Wasn't going to book a private scan as thought it would cause more worry. Then I enquired at a scan place and they had a deal on and only this Saturday available otherwise the appointment times for next few weeks is wed/Fri evening which I can't make. So I now have a scan on sat! But only just 7 weeks... So how likely am I to see a heart beat???

(All anxiety started as my Fitbit indicated a gradual decrease in my resting heart rate, something I saw in my miscarriage)

Seahawk80 · 13/02/2020 18:26

Mine is called Hope which I thought was appropriate.

@Nooodles Ikea wasn't too bad with a toddler. He can trash all their rooms rather than our house! He played witg the big soft toys for ages and I told him they live at Ikea and have to stay there with their friends which he accepted! Now
He keeps asking to go back to ikea!

Rachael321 · 13/02/2020 18:35

Managed to get through today without being sick... so far at least!
Have had horrendous nausea all day though.

With you all on the exhaustion aswell!! Was putting ironing away yesterday, saw the bed thought 'that looks comfy' and I woke an hour later!! OH Got home from work and said I looked better, so maybe an afternoon nap is the way forward for now!

TunnocksTcake · 13/02/2020 18:49

@Sunflower2019 I have one on Saturday at just past 7 weeks too! I saw a heartbeat last week so you should see but maybe not hear one this week. Good luck!

Knotemma · 13/02/2020 19:09

@Sunflower1608 hopefully you will see something tomorrow, at 7 weeks you've got a good chance of seeing a squishy jumping bean. I've got everything crossed for you.

@Nooodles hopefully the supernoodles helped! I've had a pack today and managed some soup! I've also spoken to my boss, I've been emailing her, so having a proper chat has made me feel more at ease.

Nausea is still kicking my arse, but I'm feeling a bit more positive in general and that's definitely helping. I'm up and down like a jack in the box at the minute 🙈

Littlegoth · 13/02/2020 19:22

Hello all! Scan number two for me tomorrow. I measured 5 weeks last week at what we thought was 6weeks by lmp and all we saw was the sac (through tummy), which hasn’t helped my anxiety. Hopefully tomorrow I see some progress, and have good need to share. Second scans have traditionally been bad news for me so feeling it a bit today x

tmc14 · 13/02/2020 20:17

Hi all, crikey lots to catch up on, and I’m a few weeks behind most of you so not much to share!!

I’m so very sorry to those who’ve had bad news.

Equally happy for those with positive scans, even if the nausea and exhaustion are making every day life tricky.

I’m pretty symptomless, but am only 5 weeks. Plus, I keep reminding myself that in my first, successful, pregnancy I had no symptoms at all, but had all the symptoms in my second that didn’t last. So trying to relax. My EGU said I could have an early scan there after ‘only’ one miscarriage, so I’m going to call them on Monday I think. Still no real feelings about this pregnancy. I think DH would like to be excited but I’m just completely neutral. Just waiting and seeing.

Anyway, hope everyone is doing ok xx

Seahawk80 · 13/02/2020 21:15

Just want to reassure everyone with no symptoms. I had a massive panic Tuesday night about the fact that my symptoms have "gone". Boobs are fine, feel normal. Sickness gone, yes I get tired but I have a toddler so that's normal! I was so worried and all was fine. I now remember with DS having the same and asking the midwife at my booking in if it was normal. So please don't worry. Guess I should consider myself lucky. My poor friend has been so so sick, she has had to put her daughter in nursery full time for a while even though she only works 3 days as she just needs to stay in bed on her days off.

Avocuddles · 13/02/2020 22:09

@Sunflower1608 I had a scan on Monday at 7 weeks. It was clearly visible (well, a blob was....) and there was a strong heartbeat. 7 weeks is apparently the ideal time for an early scan as any earlier things might be so clear which can potentially cause added stress.... hopefully it will be a lovely positive experience. I'm another Fitbit watcher and know what you mean about obsessing over every dip. I was googling it the other day and although I can't remember the link I was reassured when I found a forum where ladies with successful full term pregnancies shared their Fitbit HR charts and they were all over the place. Mine has dipped a little too, but looking at the charts online this is perfectly normal. Good luck to us both!

@Nooodles ooooh I wonder what delights might be buried at the back of my cupboard? 😉

@Seahawk80 glad your ikea experience went went! Did you indulge in the meatballs whilst you were there?

@tmc14 good to see you here. Don't worry about lack of symptoms, it's early days yet but as @Seahawk80 says some ladies are fortunate enough to have barely any at any stage. For now we're all pregnant, and hopefully this will be a positive journey for every one of us.....

Good luck to all of you with scans over the next couple of days, I'll be crossing my fingers for healthy beans all round

Had a follow up scan and measuring 6+4 with a lovely strong heart beat. Got my first ever scan picture, and the first scan my partner has been to where we’ve had good news. Hope everyone else who has a scan coming up has equally good news x

Scout20 · 14/02/2020 12:43

Wonderful news @littlegoth, so happy for you.

didslysquiddlydoo · 14/02/2020 13:35

Hi all, so after my last update I'm tentatively going to re-join this thread 🙈🙈

Had a scan at the EPAU today and to our absolute shock everything is looking exactly how it should at this stage. According to lmp I should be 7+3 - scan measured me at 7+2 with a strong heartbeat. They couldn't find any reason for the bleed and no reason why all of my symptoms have completely disappeared...

I'm very anxious but for now, still pregnant!!

Aria2015 · 14/02/2020 13:39

@didslysquiddlydoo that's amazing news! What a turn around of events! So glad you received food news!

Aria2015 · 14/02/2020 13:39

*good not food!

TunnocksTcake · 14/02/2020 13:40

Oh my god @didslysquiddlydoo what a miracle! I bet you are just in shock! That is amazing news and just goes to show symptoms really don't mean anything!
Fingers crossed your little bean keeps growing 💗

Knotemma · 14/02/2020 14:01

@didslysquiddlydoo that's absolutely amazing news, I bet you're in shock!

@Littlegoth brilliant news for you too! Glad you've had a good positive day, and that DH got to be there for such good news. Isn't it the best feeling when you see that little blob with a heart beat?

It's always lovely to have positive news on here xx

Scout20 · 14/02/2020 14:16

Amazing @didslysquiddlydoo! What a relief for you! I'm so pleased.

I would never presume to know how someone is feeling.... but I've had also had a few bleeds and cramps, but all positive scans with no reason found for the bleeding. I'm 'lucky' to be sufficiently high risk as to warrant frequent scans, so at least I don't have long to wait between them.

Scout20 · 14/02/2020 14:17

Doesn't someone else have a scan today, by the way? Is it you @Aria2015?

tmc14 · 14/02/2020 14:18

Great scan news @Littlegoth & @didslysquiddlydoo jeez you must be in shock!! What a whirlwind. I hope you’ve got a relaxing weekend to recover & take the news in. So pleased for you.

I know the digital tests are notorious unreliable, but I got my 3+ today, at 5+1, so am happy my levels appear to be correct. One day at a time!! DH & I started to talk about booking a private early scan for 7/8 weeks. Two weeks away feels both really close to be at the point our baby died last time, but very far away in terms of waiting!!

Aria2015 · 14/02/2020 14:28

@Scout20 not me, my scan is Thursday. Feels like ages away!

Scout20 · 14/02/2020 14:30

@Aria2015 I bet it does, how are you feeling?

Aria2015 · 14/02/2020 14:43

@Scout20 I'm ok thanks. Trying to keep myself distracted. Time just goes sooooo slow in these early weeks. I got my bfp just over 2 weeks ago but it feels like 2 months lol!
