Hi,

Starting a thread for ladies in early pregnancy after one or more miscarriages or stillbirths. A safe place to let off steam and hopefully grow healthy rainbows together......

That’s amazing news @Nooodles 😊
Hoping you get good news today too @Mumlili9 x

Scout20 · 06/02/2020 11:24

Wonderful news @Nooodles! Such a relief after that worry. I'm so glad for you.

Fingers crossed for you today @Mumlili9.

How's everyone else getting on?

SammiLou2312 · 06/02/2020 11:52

@Nooodles so so happy for you. Your post kinda reassured me also...I started with some bad cramp type pains yesterday in one specific area which was worrying me a tad, now thinking maybe it's the placenta burrowing as I'm 7+4 today...got my next scan on Monday so gonna try hold onto hope til then at least x

@Mumlili9 I hope everything is ok today. Thinking of you x

@avocadoincident I know what you mean, it's strange finding comfort and support from practical strangers. You all feel like friends now 🥰

Rachael321 · 06/02/2020 11:54

So pleased for you @Nooodles Smile

I think I spoke too soon about no sickness! Been lightheaded and dizzy all morning, nearly lost my balance a few times and been sick and now retching all the time. Managed an hour and a half at work and had to leave!!

Avocuddles · 06/02/2020 12:18

Glad things are looking ok @Nooodles! Do you have another scan planned or will the next one be 12 weeks?

@Rachael321 can't decide whether to say oh no or great to the morning sickness! Hope it isn't too debilitating - get lots of biscuits in!

Nooodles · 06/02/2020 12:26

Thank you so much everyone :) :)

@Avocuddles In theory my next scan is the 12 week one, I’d love to have another in a couple of weeks ideally (especially as it was measuring small) but I’m not sure we can afford to. So I think I’ll just be going back into my “ride it out” mode now and wishing the weeks away until we get to 12 :)

Glad that it’s given you some reassurance too @SammiLou2312 - it definitely makes sense doesn’t it :) fingers crossed for you.

Hope you feel better @Rachael321- that never ending battle of feeling sick, wishing it away, and then wanting it back 🤣🤣 but I hope it eases off!

xxx

@Avocuddles @nooodles it's awful. Had to make a beeline to the loo 5 times in an hour. Said to my manager I think I need to go home, here reply was I think that's a good idea. Currently on the sofa, hungry and scared to eat anything

TunnocksTcake · 06/02/2020 13:02

@Nooodles Yay! So glad you had a successful scan Flowers

I am a little freaked out, who are we supposed to call at this point before we're booked in with midwife - Dr?
Earlier I was sat at my desk and came over all funny, heart racing, tingly legs and my back has been hurting loads the last few days, and since I got to work had like hot cramps low down in my leg crease kind of area. Then went to the loo had a v loose bm (soz tmi) which always scares me because thats what I had when I had my most recent MC, loose bm then bleeding. After that I felt different, like my boobs arent as sore and might be a tad smaller but I might be imagining that? I still feel sick but just terrified something is about to go wrong. Still got the back ache and cramps... No bleeding though... just a dodgy tum do you think? Argh these early weeks are torture!!
The back pain is really concerning me. I know it can be normal but its just really relentless...? What would you guys do?

Avocuddles · 06/02/2020 13:07

@TunnocksTcake I'd ring your GP as a first port of call, they may bring you in or be able to get you a check up at the EPU.
My stomach has been all over the place alternating between constipation and gas and the more 'loose' end of the spectrum, hopefully that and the other symptoms are all just caused by hormones going haywire, but definitely no harm in trying to speak to a professional. You're right that these weeks are torture!!!!

Treaclepie19 · 06/02/2020 13:09

@TunnocksTcake always ring for advice if unsure but I had exactly the same over the weekend and I do tend to swing between constipation and diarrhoea in pregnancy.
The glamour!

TunnocksTcake · 06/02/2020 13:36

Thanks ladies, feeling a tad calmer now, will ring the drs in a bit. I don't want them to feel like I am overreacting! Definitely still feeling sick so that's a plus.

TunnocksTcake · 06/02/2020 14:21

I'm sure my boobs are deflating...
have arranged a call back from the dr. Went for a walk in the sun at lunch and trying to work out how to put the back pain into words...

SunStruck · 06/02/2020 14:44

@Nooodles congratulations!!! Such a relief 😃😃

@Mumlili9 how did it go today? Thinking of you ❤️

Mumlili9 · 06/02/2020 15:11

Update
Well scan didn't help at all sac found measuring for 4+ weeks but I'm 5+ weeks, spotting is now bright red. Hcg increased by 77 %, so another scan 17th February. No baby seen today at 5+5 just a 2mm sac.
I don't know what to feel. I feel this is definitely a mc waiting to happen. Thanks for all your support ladies. I truely hope all of you ladies have happy and healthy pregnancies.

avocadoincident · 06/02/2020 15:51

@Mumlili9
Sorry to hear about your scan. Did the sonography seem worried it or make any comment?

Treaclepie19 · 06/02/2020 15:56

I'm sorry to hear that @Mumlili9. Remember before 6 weeks it can be hard to see anything. I really hope that next week brings a lovely surprise for you.

Mumlili9 · 06/02/2020 15:57

@avocadoincident sonographer said there's no obvious sign of a fetus and no yoke sac. But she did say I had a good lining thickness of 9mm. And the midwife said I must have my dates wrong (I don't) but on the plus side I'm not anemic.

SammiLou2312 · 06/02/2020 16:02

@Mumlili9 they may have struggled to see something if you are only 5 weeks. Could there be a possibility you ovulated later than usual or conceived later than you thought?

Mumlili9 · 06/02/2020 16:11

@SammiLou2312 wish there was but I opk and temp I'm 100%sure on my dates. Its just too small for the dates and I dont believe this will be my rainbow

Nooodles · 06/02/2020 16:37

So so sorry to hear that @Mumlili9 - it sounds very similar to what I had last time, so much uncertainty and “inconclusive” everywhere I looked. The limbo is the worst. Be kind to yourself, don’t give up hope

SW83 · 06/02/2020 16:47

Thinking of you Mumlili Flowers xx

Avocuddles · 06/02/2020 18:27

@Mumlili9 I'm sorry you're stuck in this awful limbo. It does sound similar to my experience last time round but nonetheless it sounds like there's still hope so don't write things off yet.....
We all hope so much that things turn a corner for you. Keep us posted and you'll be in all of our thoughts xx

Hi ladies! Hope you don't mind me joining :)

A little about me.. I'm 31, been TTC #1 for 2 years. Had a MC in Jan 2019 and just got my first BFP since then! I actually cannot believe it.. Had resigned to this not happening naturally for us. Was already planning IVF and we had an appointment booked with the infertility clinic for the end of March, but not going to cancel that until closer to the time. OH and I are trying not to get excited or ahead of ourselves as obviously last time it ended in heartbreak, but also secretly feeling excited!

I'm at exactly 4 weeks today, due mid-Oct. Very early days but so glad to be going through this journey with ladies who have gone through similar experiences.

@mumlili9 I recognise you from the TTC after loss thread (I haven't been active on there for a while) I know you've gone through a really hard journey so I hope it doesn't end in another mc. Keeping my fx for you Thanks

I haven't caught up with the full thread yet but hoping for sticky babies for everyone!

SammiLou2312 · 06/02/2020 20:29

@thelittlepeanut welcome to the group. Wishing you the best of luck and sending sticky bean vibes your way x

Mumlili9 · 06/02/2020 22:10

Hi ladies it seems like I will be leaving you now. Cramping and bleeding has ramped up so I think this the mc getting underway.
Thank you all for your wonderful support and I hope all your pregnancies are beautiful, healthy and your beautiful babies are perfect. Take care of each other xx
