Hi,

Starting a thread for ladies in early pregnancy after one or more miscarriages or stillbirths. A safe place to let off steam and hopefully grow healthy rainbows together......

@HighHopes20 how old is your little one? My daughter is 21 months and is very hit and miss with wanting to walk.

HighHopes20 · 05/02/2020 18:27

@avocadoincident He’s 2 1/2 - doesn’t want to go in his pushchair anymore but gets worn out if we walk anywhere longer than a few minutes 😴 Will probably get him a buggyboard if/when we have another.

SammiLou2312 · 05/02/2020 19:20

@Treaclepie19 fingers crossed for you🤞

I don't know how you ladies with other kids are coping right now...I get home from work and am asleep for an hour every night by 6pm as it is lol. So exhausted constantly!

Had some really bad cramps come on earlier, made me double over with the pain at first which has kinda worried me...hubby has me at home with my feet up now refusing to let me even get a drink on my own bless him. Think as much as he says he is fine, he is maybe just as scared if not more than I am.

Hope you lovely ladies are all good and have had a nice day x

SW83 · 05/02/2020 19:52

Sorry to hear about the bad cramps SammiLou. I'm sure nothing to worry about xx
Hope everyone's had a great day and lovely to see so much positive news!
I'm struggling a bit tonight as I'm working away and the worry is kicking in. I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and seriously couldn't feel any less pregnant. Worked a 10 hour day today and still full of energy :( Maybe my boobs look slightly bigger.. But could also be my weight gain recently! I just keep reading about typical symptoms and I don't have any. I'm wondering if I've already MC'd and the progestrone I'm taking is delaying the inevitable. Xx

avocadoincident · 05/02/2020 20:01

@SW83 I'm 6 weeks and have no symptoms at all. No sore boobs, no more tired than usual, I'm walking an hour each day and hula hooping in the evening, no sickness, nothing.

I'm sure we won't escape it all. This time next week we may be wishing we were back here without any symptoms.

SW83 · 05/02/2020 20:12

Thanks @avocadoincident that's really reassuring to hear! :-)

Treaclepie19 · 05/02/2020 20:29

I'm also pretty symtomless. I have the cramping but otherwise I feel pretty normal. If anything I've been rushing round tidying and cleaning more than normal.

SW83 · 05/02/2020 20:51

Thanks Treaclepie :-) xx

Mumlili9 · 05/02/2020 21:01

@Scout20 and @Avocuddles. Thanks for asking after me ladies. Tbh im in a mess. I have a scan booked for tomorrow am but my hcg numbers, spotting and cramping is making me a reck. 30th January hcg 38, 31st 73 and 4th Feb 483. So very low numbers. Midwife at epu said she thinks it's likely an ectopic or blighted ovum with numbers that low. I personally think the progesterone is the only thing stopping me from miscarrying fully. I will be 6 weeks on Friday but I have I funny feeling in my uterus just like the one I got before all my miscarriages even the mmc's. I'm so gutted that because of miscarriages I'm not able to enjoy this pregnancy at all how ever short lived it might be.
Hope you're all well xx

Mumlili9 · 05/02/2020 21:06

Since we're doing symptoms my boob first thing in the morning are so painful, I don't have sickness, but I have this really weird minty taste when I breath out. Cramp omg the cramps feel like I'm have the worst period ever. Nothing tastes right and I'm hungry all the time but can't eat as I have no appetite (though that could be anxiety)

SW83 · 05/02/2020 21:28

Hey Mumlili, I'm really sorry to hear that and very much hoping for a positive scan for you. Not too clued up on hcg but I thought ectopic was when the numbers were doubling too high/too quick. It looks positive that the numbers are increasing. Not sure how low is too low at this stage xx

avocadoincident · 05/02/2020 21:29

@Mumlili9
I have everything crossed for you tomorrow lovely.

What are the 'normal' hcg numbers like?

Treaclepie19 · 05/02/2020 21:31

I really hope tomorrow gives you a lovely surprise @Mumlili9
I'm sorry you're going through this Flowers

Mumlili9 · 05/02/2020 21:43

@avocadoincident the numbers at this stage should be in the thousands.
@SW83 I was told that ectopic was a slow rise or the same as a normal pregnancy. If it rises to quickly it could be twins or a molar pregnancy (very bad).
@Treaclepie19 thanks hun I'm not hopeful though x

London91 · 05/02/2020 21:50

@Knotemma I had a private scan with Window To The Womb (was bad news) but I asked if the sonographer noticed any cysts on my ovaries. I had an NHS scan before this so I knew I definitely did. I was told he was blah blah blah qualified but he did not see the cyst, months later I had surgery to remove said cyst. I know it's not a massive deal but I feel like some sonographers that work for these companies might not be as skilled as they like to make out.

London91 · 05/02/2020 21:52

@Mumlili9 hoping for good news for you tomorrow. Flowers

SunStruck · 06/02/2020 01:43

@mumlili9 I'm so sorry you're so worried and not feeling good 😔 I am really hoping you'll get some answers today so you can stop worrying, and I hope all the results will be fine ❤️

For all you ladies not getting any symptoms that early on, I really wouldn't worry,,, I think it really starts at 7-8 weeks! I've felt fine the whole time, just a bit nauseous at times that's all. I'm still almost eating like normal!

I think a lot of ladies are going for their first scan tomorrow? So exciting 😃

HighHopes20 · 06/02/2020 06:24

Not a great story but I had all the symptoms with my last miscarriage (sore boobs, cramps, awful morning sickness) all the way up to the day of my d&c at 11 weeks even though the baby had stopped growing at 6 so I don’t find my symptoms reassuring anymore because I thought they meant everything was ok last time. Sorry that was depressing!!
Hope everyone’s scans go well today x

Knotemma · 06/02/2020 07:06

@London91 I've heard really mixed things about window to the womb so think I'll be giving them a miss. I'm considering ultrasound direct, but having a look online it looks like there are a few places locally that offer scans that look like they might be independent. I'm just not sure I can wait another 5 weeks to see baby again, we were in and out so quickly on Friday and while it looks like it was good news I'm just still massively nervous.

Hope everyone has a good day today x

Avocuddles · 06/02/2020 07:34

Like @London91 I had a negative experience at Window to the Womb and would not use them again. I was very very clear on my dates so knew it didn't look good when the pregnancy was measuring 9 days behind, but they just tried to fob me off and say that I must have my dates wrong and it was nothing to worry about. Four days later my second miscarriage started....

I have a stinking cold today and am feeling very sorry for myself. It's hard having to steer clear of all cold and flu meds, just hope it's a short sharp one.....

Nooodles · 06/02/2020 10:00

@Mumlili9 Really hope everything goes well for you today ✨

We just had our scan, there was a heartbeat and a tiny baby, I absolutely sobbed - I’ve only ever had bad news in that room! Only measuring 3.1mm which is smaller than expected for 7w2d but they didn’t seem worried, they said there are so many variables at this stage. So I’m cautiously happy - a lot happier than I was yesterday 💛 seeing the heartbeat was everything I needed today.

They also measured some bruising next to the embryo which they said is probably the placenta burrowing into my uterus - and probably what caused my bleed in the first place. 🤞🏼

Sending lots of love to you all, thanks so much for your kind thoughts for me. xxx

Treaclepie19 · 06/02/2020 10:19

Oh what amazing news @Nooodles!!

Thinking of you today @Mumlili9 Flowers

avocadoincident · 06/02/2020 10:26

I'm so thrilled @Nooodles

Funny how we can all be so involved with each other and it's just online friends!
