Hi,

Starting a thread for ladies in early pregnancy after one or more miscarriages or stillbirths. A safe place to let off steam and hopefully grow healthy rainbows together......

@Avocuddles @HighHopes20 @Littlegoth I'm also a Leeds local...seems like there's a few of us in here lol! Here's hoping we can all enjoy our journeys together x

SammiLou2312 · 31/01/2020 20:10

@LouiseD2018 so very sorry to hear your news Louise. Sending you kind wishes. Hope you are doing ok. I know you may struggle to stay in here given what's happened but please make sure you have support for a while x

Avocuddles · 31/01/2020 21:59

@LouiseD2018 so sorry to hear things haven't got well. Hope you have lots of support around you and that you're looking after yourself.

@Littlegoth you're only a few days behind me so all being well there's every chance our paths will cross! My first scan is at Seacroft fertility clinic a week on Monday when I should be 7 weeks.
Injections are ok - I was really apprehensive the first time round but I'm now an expert at stabbing myself....

@Pugmum19 sorry you've had a scare today. How was your midwife appointment?

@TunnocksTcake hope you're feeling better today. Did you get your appointment booked?

Hope everyone else is ok and you have relaxing weekends ahead of you....

@LouiseD2018 I'm so sorry to hear about what happened, look after yourself ❤️ we can really all relate 😢

@LapsedVeganEgg aw that sounds terrible. I'm the same, so tired and living for the weekends when I'm just parked on the sofa. No energy and feeling nauseous.

@Avocuddles how are you getting on? 😄 I've got my scan on Weds 😫 I'm more worried about it because DH will be there TBH. I feel so sorry for him, he's never been at a scan where there's been good news. He hates them too now 🥺 at least if I was going alone I'm kinda expecting bad news and will just think "here we go again" and get on with it afterwards. It's something really disheartening seeing an empty screen when something should be there.

Avocuddles · 01/02/2020 07:58

@SunStruck I'm feeling the same about my scan a week on Monday, it's hard to have any positive feelings about them when you've had multiple negative experiences. The only blessing for me is that I'm having this one at the fertility unit rather than the EPU so it will be in a different room for once!

I think I'm reaching peak knicker watch now. Although my miscarriages were a week or two further on, by this point the pregnancies had probably stopped developing so I'm feeling paranoid that any moment things could go wrong. I'm just trying to stay as calm as possible and take strength from the fact that within the next few weeks we should at least know where we stand (for now.....)

@SunStruck Totally with you on being worried about DH - mine always acts strong for us both saying ‘it obviously wasn’t meant to be’ but my last miscarriage really affected him.
I’ve not booked a scan yet but planning on booking one 3 weeks from today when I’ll hopefully be around 8 weeks 🤞🏻

HighHopes20 · 01/02/2020 08:34

@SammiLou2312 @Littlegoth @Avocuddles
Maybe we can organise a Leeds preggo meet up in a few months?? 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Avocuddles · 01/02/2020 09:26

@HighHopes20 I hope so! 👍🏻

Hi Everyone!
What a beautiful thread name @Avocuddles :-)
I'm currently 5+2 weeks and going for an early 6 week scan this Friday. I've had 2 MCs in the last 4 months and so super nervous. I have zero symptoms (present at 3 weeks/ implantation and then went) so maybe this time is not the one - but there's always hope.
Fingers crossed for everyone on here xxx

SammiLou2312 · 01/02/2020 10:38

@HighHopes20 @Avocuddles @Littlegoth when are all your due dates? Have you decided which hospital you are planning on going to? I'm under consultant care at Jimmy's atm and plan on staying there I think. Would be nice to meet up maybe once we all a little further on x

HighHopes20 · 01/02/2020 11:41

@SammiLou2312 I’m not 100% on my due date yet before I have a scan but roughly 30th Sep-4th October. I had my son at Jimmys and although most of the staff were lovely I had several bad experiences with of the nurses on the post natal ward and it’s really put me off going back there so I’ll have to have a good think about things if/when the times comes to decide.

SammiLou2312 · 01/02/2020 12:10

@HighHopes20 my EDD is 20/09/20 I think. I was born at Jimmy's and it's easier to get to that lgi for us so seemed best option. Hopefully it's ok x

SammiLou2312 · 01/02/2020 12:19

@SW83 welcome to the thread and fingers crossed for your scan x

TunnocksTcake · 01/02/2020 12:53

@LouiseD2018 so sorry to hear your outcome that's truly awful. Look after yourself.

Does anyone else get fluctuating symptoms? My sickness comes and goes and my boobs only really seem to hurt at the end of the day. Not feeling that tired today either but I guess I had a lie in. Had some back pain today and a couple of little cramps which I don't know if they are good or bad 🤷🏻‍♀️ I just want to fast forward until I know for sure! This waiting and guessing is the worst.
@avocuddles I didn't get through to them yesterday, I didn't realise their phone lines are only open til 1pm. Will have to call Monday.

SW83 · 01/02/2020 13:07

Thanks SammiLou! It won't let me tag you for some reason :-) We've actually decided to get an earlier scan tomorrow which would be 5 1/2 weeks. Third time into this... the anxiety has taken over and I could really do with some reassurance!
@TunnocksTcake definitely have fluctuating symptoms. From all the research I've done tho, it seems like it's totally normal. Smile xx

Littlegoth · 01/02/2020 14:58

@HighHopes20 that would be lovely ☺️

@SammiLou2312 I’m at Jimmy’s too due 4th October. I’ll be consultant led but not sure whether that means staying under recurrent miscarriage clinic or someone else - I’m sure I’ll find out next Friday.

@TunnocksTcake my boobs are flat and heavy in the morning and like red hot sore balloons at night! I feel sick unless I’m eating/have just eaten. Can only stomach toasties.

SammiLou2312 · 01/02/2020 15:05

@Littlegoth I'm under the recurrent miscarriage clinic too. They told me I would be under them until 12 weeks then transferred to antenatal clinic after that for rest of pregnancy...not sure if it will be same for you x

Avocuddles · 01/02/2020 15:43

@SammiLou2312 I think my due date would be 27th-28th September. I'll be at LGI because I'm under the consultant there due to my blood clotting history, it's also pretty handy as both I and DH work in the city centre although Jimmy's is way better from a parking perspective!
I've 'only' had two miscarriages so I'm not under the RMC, but I am under the fertility clinic due to ovulation issues.

@SW83 welcome! My fingers are crossed for you, plenty of people don't have much in the way of symptoms this early so stay positive and hopefully you'll see a strong heartbeat.....

Re Boobs - mine are permanently very tender to the touch and my nipples are like bullets most of the time! I have big boobs so hope they don't grow too much or my back will be in agony!

OP posts:
Seahawk80 · 01/02/2020 21:20

@TunnocksTcake my sickness totally comes and goes. I'll be fine for 2 days and then feel so sick I have to lie down!! My boobs were a bit sore at first but now they are fine. I do get a weird thing tho where if I get cold my nipples are agony!! I've been ok this time round, my sister had it too and said it was better second time around. I hope so as with DS I ended up in tears several times and used to have to put ski hand warmers down my bra 😂. It was worse than any pain with my c section / recovery or breastfeeding! I didn't really have any trouble with my pregnancy this spring / summer as it was warm.

@SW83 welcome and good luck for your scan.

Knotemma · 01/02/2020 23:19

I'm feeling massively irrational tonight, the kitten has knocked a glass over in our bedroom (where she's not allowed) and smashed it and my DH decided to empty two baskets of clean laundry onto the bed and just leave them there. I now want to strangle both and have had a cry. Kitten is unrepentant, DH is currently cleaning our bedroom 🤦. That added to the fact that I'm getting weird twingey and sharp pains in my tummy has actually turned me into a crazy person. The type of person you would cross the road to avoid.
Hopefully I can sleep all night for the first time since I found out I was pregnant and then I'll be capable of acting like a sane human being tomorrow.

avocadoincident · 02/02/2020 03:53

@TunnocksTcake re symptoms. I don't have any symptoms at all other than a missed period.

avocadoincident · 02/02/2020 03:54

@SW83 good luck with the scan. Tentatively excited for you. X

avocadoincident · 02/02/2020 03:59

@Knotemma don't worry about crazy. I'm on the same side of the road as you! I feel calmly deranged at the moment.

And I hate it when may husband leaves washing around. I even pair everything up and leave it on piles on the bed for him to put in his drawers and at night he picks it all up carries it past the drawers to dump on the chair to live for months.

Treaclepie19 · 02/02/2020 06:00

@TunnocksTcake I had quite a few symptoms very early on and now I don't. My boobs don't even hurt.
I'm just hoping it'll come soon. This is my 4th pregnancy so you'd think I'd remember they normally come a bit later.

TunnocksTcake · 02/02/2020 07:56

Thanks everyone, it's crazy how different everyone can be yet it's all still normal. I started getting lower back ache and cramps yesterday which was disconcerting but I've read is normal too!

@knotemma I hope you slept well! Last night was the first time ive slept past 4:30 am woohoo! My husband leaves all the dry washing in piles on the spare bed, it's infuriating! Why not just put those piles in their drawers?!!! Angry
