February 2020 mums how prepared are you!?

Hey February mum's just wondering how your all doing preparing for your new arrivals?

Do you have everything you need yet?
Are things all set up and ready to go?

Love to hear from you all....

I think after two very late babies, I deserve a slightly early one this time! Is anyone overdue yet?

My first was 9 days late. But I do think I'll be induced Friday or Saturday. Just want it to be over. So painful atm

Hows everyone movement wise? I can't walk very far now or should I say waddle....😂

Also trying to get this one to not be back to back....I'll be leaning and bobbing in my ball tonight!

Walking around, I'm not too bad. Getting up out of a chair on the other hand.... I laid down in the bath the other day and I actually thought I was stuck!

I've had braxton hicks constantly all evening again, it's so frustrating. I've got a midwife appointment tomorrow and they are going to give me a sweep. Really hope it works as I'm feeling so fed up today.

Was supposed to have a midwife appointment and sweep today but they didn't turn up. So frustrating. Not sure when I'm seeing them next, they've been pretty useless through this whole pregnancy tbh.

@CupCupGoose that's awful! They should at least call you if they can't make it

I've been having cramps all day and I woke up from my nap in pain coming in waves across the top of my bump. Feels like indigestion too so not sure... I'm waiting and seing...

Movement wise I'm ok apart from when I'm getting up from the bed/sofa etc.

@Lcw29 how's it going with the waiting and seeing, did it come to anything?

@CupCupGoose that's really frustrating! Have they been in touch now to let you know when they can see you?

Hope everyone is doing ok, the waiting and not knowing when baby may arrive feels very strange to me! Should be having a sweep at the end of the week.

Any news @Lcw29? We really do need a baby soon. We are near enough half way through February!

@jldy2020 I've got another appointment on Saturday. I was more annoyed about having to walk a nearly 3 mile round trip in the snow for nothing.

Well no baby yet 🙄 just a frustrated mum lol I was exhausted by the end of yesterday as I had back pain and tightenings that just didn't turn into anything. I've been told it could be early labour but who knows! I'm focussing on keeping g baby from being back to back. I think he has turned to a better position but hard to tell. Will find out for definite on Friday if I'm being induced. Appointment at 4 pm to scan and check placenta. Had bloods today to make sure hb levels are staying up.

Thankfully hubby has been allowed to work 2 days from home a week until baby is born so I can have help.

Hows everyone feeling ? I'm a little nervous but excited too

I had a sweep last time and it did kick start my labour later that day so hopefully wont be much longer for you guys either.

@Lcw29 sounds tiring! Good to know about the sweep, this is my first so everything's new to me!

Sorry I know you've probably already said, but when are your due dates? Mines 17th.

It was cinema night at my kids school so I've been sat on a hard bench for 2 and a half hours. So uncomfortable!

I know the baby has to come eventually but it really feels like it's never going to happen.

Very hectic here, as I've been helping DD finish packing and moving. Today was her last day here, I'm going to miss her & DGS1 SO much! 😭

DGS2 is due on Saturday - 15th, and DD is booked in for induction for that day, if he doesn't arrive before then - You never know, all this moving stuff today, may have helped 🤞

I'm not due till the 26th.... I'm just hoping I dont have to wait that long. Lol wishful thinking!

Hope everyones babies are arriving soon! I had my daughter at 39+1 (her due date is tomorrow) after 3 days of slow labour after losing my plug I ended up being induced due to an antepartum haemorrhage. Everything went great, active labour was just shy of 5 hours and we were home the next afternoon 🥰

Hey everyone. Emmy here (had a name change).
Due date was yesterday so I am officially overdue. Went 2 weeks over with first and had to be induced so hoping it's not same story this time. Off to the midwife this morning for a sweep which hopefully does something...

@IrishPeaches how did the sweep go yesterday?

I had a really quick labour with my last baby and I'm getting really nervous now about getting to the hospital on time. We live really rurally and DH is currently working the furthest away he's ever worked since we've been together (10 years!) it keeps snowing on and off and the roads get closed here all the time if the snow gets bad. The hospital is a 45 minute drive away. I'm also stressing about who will have the DC , especially since its half term after today.

I'm getting a sweep tomorrow, if that sets things off, it will be perfect timing as DH will be home. I know I'll not be that lucky though!

Sweep went well, she was thorough I had a bloody show afterwards, loads of bad period cramps and diarrhoea all last night (sorry for the tmi) so I thought it was kicking off. Alas, this morning - nothing! Just got back from an induction via acupuncture session to try and help things along. Lord knows if it will work! Come on Feb babies!

Ahh try not to stress too much about getting the hospital etc. I know it's hard not to be worried about the whole situation - especially when there's an older child to look after. I'm worried my mum isn't going to get here on time to take over with my DD1 as well as they are 2 hours away. But I'm trying to have a positive mind about it all! It's so frustrating we have no control over what will happen and how! Fingers crossed that your sweep tomorrow gets things moving and DH is there!!!

@IrishPeaches ooo all those things sound promising! Hopefully it will be this weekend for you! Do you have anyone closer as a backup? It's hard not having family close by isn't it?

Had constant appointment today. Baby is fine but on the bigger size. Already roughly 7lbs 8! I'm booked in for induction next friday but having a sweep monday first. Mainly because of the amount of reduced movement I've had. 7 in total. Feeling nervous suddenly now.

@Lcw29 hopefully your sweep will work Monday but if not, Friday isn't too far away. I hope you are okay.

I have been up since 4 worrying again. I hope to god my sweep today works. I'm not even desperate for the baby to get here, everything's just been taken over by just wanting DH with me when I go into labour. Its just the not knowing.
