@CupCupGoose the pain is much better now thanks. Exhausted but that's normal lol midwife came to see us today. Did heel prick test on Daniel and weighed him. Only went to 7lbs 6 to 7lbs 2 which is completely normal. I'm highly emotional but again normal haha. Enjoying every snuggle !

And of course, congratulations to you too on your little bundle! Well done!

jldy2020 · 01/03/2020 10:38

@CupCupGoose congratulations!

AMos16 · 02/03/2020 15:26

@CupCupGoose congratulations, and to anyone else who gave birth over the weekend!

Im on sweep number 2, and midwife confident that things are finally moving, but we are booked for induction on Friday evening just in case it doesn't happen before then, with one final sweep planned for wednesday!

Good Luck to everyone!

hiimmumma · 02/03/2020 18:13

@AMos16 similar situation here.
Had 2nd sweep today but not much progress.
I'll have another on Wednesday and seeing consultant to discuss induction vs c-sec this weekend.

I hope it happens for you in the next couple of days. 🤞🏻

CupCupGoose · 03/03/2020 17:45

Thanks everyone. DS is 4 days old now and doing well. Doesn't like being put down though so not a lot of sleep here!

@hiimmumma @AMos16 I hope your sweeps work. I know it's so hard but please try and enjoy your last few days of being baby free. I'm absolutely knackered and wish I'd made the most of the last few weeks of pregnancy. Easier said than done though, I know.

Sorry if you've already said but why might you need a c section. @hiimmumma

I've started a newborn support thread in postnatal groups if anyone wants to join.

CupCupGoose · 03/03/2020 17:51

Sorry the thread is in post-natal groups, under parenting.

hiimmumma · 03/03/2020 18:12

@CupCupGoose
Went on a long walk today. Trying to enjoy the time off.
I've been offered a c-section throughout because of 3rd degree tear and haemorrhage when I had DS1.
He was big though and I had lots of intervention. I had declined c-sec up to this point because I wanted to go drug/intervention free this time (smaller baby too!) BUT they've said if they have to induce then chances are birth will be similar because of the level of intervention so I can choose c-sec instead to minimise damage. I'm anxious about induction anyway and would rather c-sec as for me I think the level of intervention is the same.
And also the amount of time spent in hospital is a stress factor for me, I've never left DS1 overnight!

jldy2020 · 04/03/2020 09:44

Good luck @hiimmumma and @AMos16

@CupCupGoose what's the thread called?

CupCupGoose · 04/03/2020 16:37

Soda123x · 09/03/2020 22:11

Hi everyone. Sorry for the delay have been crazy busy !!
Sooooo.... our gorgeous little boy (we didnt know the sex before birth) came on 29th Feb. We had our leap year baby after being due 28th my husband had said since 1st scan he would come then.
The 1st 3 nights at home with cluster feeding was hard but he is doing amazing now. Weve managed to get out the house the past few days too. Even if just for walk with the pram, it does us all good.
Hope your all well. Please can I be added to the new group too xx

CupCupGoose · 11/04/2020 16:46

@Soda123x sorry only just seen this. My baby was born the day before yours, congratulations! I'll tag you in the newborn thread.

@GoodshipSerenity I've sent you a pm. Hope you're okay x
