Laying in bed next to my snoozing one year old and thinking about having a third child, but feeling too old at 37.

How old are other mums?

I'm not pregnant now, but was 40 when I had ds. Many woman aren't even having their first at your age OP, so you're hardly too old.

36 lol and my first, so as smiththecat says, people start later nowadays. I’m on a forum and it is a mix but there is a surprising amount of older mums in there. It’s either their first or later child they are expecting. Think about it if you are interested

I'm 36 this Year and due 4 days before my Birthday. Pregnant with DC2, have an almost 4 Year old already!

I was 26 when I became pregnant within our first and now 27 (due to deliver soon).

It’s a weird age to be pregnant, non of friends are. They’re happy for me but wouldn’t dream of it yet themselves. Early 30’s is when women ‘start’ in my circles 😂

Tbh we would have waited longer but there were concerns surrounding my fertility, my DH is in his early 30’s and we are very well set up in terms of jobs/finances...etc. So we just went for it. I imagine I’ll probably have 2 before most of my friends consider their first.

I don’t think 37 is too old. It’s what’s right for you!

One week off 38 on EDD, this is DC2.

I feel old too OP but it's not uncommon amongst work colleagues, and I wasn't ready any earlier!

Ha. 42, DC1 is 10, DC2 is 14 months and DC3 is due a month before I turn 43. You're fine!

Having my first at 35. The majority of mums in my antenatal class are at least my age, and all first timers.

I'm 34, due my third on my 35th birthday (so will probably be 35 by the time baby comes).

@worldsonfire me and DH were also very "early" in our friendship group, and were 28 when we had DD1. All out friends were like whaaat?! 🤣 No fertility worries, we both have good jobs and just wanted to have a family. We had had our second by the time most of our friends were having their first (and some of our friends don't have kids yet /may not ever).

I'm 38, and baby will be born when I'm 39. First DC, conceived on seventh month of trying.

34 (will turn 35 in May) and this is our third.

I’m 26 and expecting my first, complete duck out of water and feel far too young (GYN said I wouldn’t conceive alone- hence the username). You are of a perfect age and don’t doubt yourself, your time is your time.

40 and expecting my first DC in June. Can't wait.

35 expecting my third. Would have been happy to wait a few more years but didn't want a huge gap between 2 and 3.

33 and expecting my first ☺️ I still feel young to have a child but half of my friends are on their second babies while half still think it's too young! My mum had her first child at 33 (my older sister) and I always said I wanted my first at that age.
