I’m 24 and 8 weeks pregnant with my first, I actually think 30s to 40s is the perfect age but I couldn’t wait that long myself personally Smile

It’s relative coldness I find. So I’ve just turned 24 and am pregnant with my first.
I live in a really deprived area and grew up here, I am one of only a handful of my peers who have got post 16 education and one of an even smaller number with a degree/masters.
In my “home/ school friendship group” I am an old mum. My best friend got pregnant at 14, and my godson in 9 (ten in September)
Most of my friends in this group have several children, and had in there own words “completed their families” by 21.

However, in my work circle I am a young mum, most don’t have kids until 35-45 because they have been career orientated etc.

I don’t think it matters when you have your children, and 37 certainly isn’t too old!

ClaraTA · 11/01/2020 08:06

38 and my first DC is 9 weeks old 🙂

Dontforgetyourbrolly · 11/01/2020 08:09

38 with my only- the toddler years absolutely drained me! But that might not be anything to do with age....just energetic child / useless ( ex) partner .

PixieDustt · 11/01/2020 08:09

I was 26 when I had DS. 27 now and would like another by at least 28/29 Grin

Vixx3n · 11/01/2020 08:10

DerbyshireGirly · 11/01/2020 08:15

zeeeex · 11/01/2020 08:18

I'm 25 and due my first in July! There is no right or wrong time, there will always be someone saying you're too young or too old 🤷🏻‍♀️😊 xx

Marshy86 · 11/01/2020 08:20

I'm 33 and pregnant with my first, All of my friendship group are nearly mid 30s and not started trying yet x

summershine2204 · 11/01/2020 08:20

23, I'll be 24 when I deliver. It my DH is older than me and I wanted him to be as involved as possible.

rosie561 · 11/01/2020 08:20

I'm 15 weeks with my first and I'm 32 Smile

CloudyVanilla · 11/01/2020 08:22

26 and am being induced next week with my third :)

It sounds odd to say that but I love being a mother and this is definitely my last baby Grin

Alarae · 11/01/2020 08:22

26 when I fell pregnant, currently 34 weeks and 27.

Got my first antenatal class this morning so I can add some more ages to it later!

tisonlymeagain · 11/01/2020 08:23

37 weeks pregnant and 40 years old.

Number3or4 · 11/01/2020 08:23

32 but I had my first when I was 25.

MockingJay27 · 11/01/2020 08:25

27 expecting my 1st, but agree mid 30s is very normal / popular age to be having children x

Chanel05 · 11/01/2020 08:26

30 and pregnant with my first.

ArtichokeAardvark · 11/01/2020 08:31

31 and pregnant with my 2nd. However my local hospital has statistically the oldest mothers in the country and my midwife described me as a spring chicken! They see first time mums in their late 30s every day, so you are definitely not too old.

Engard · 11/01/2020 09:03

Had my first at 28 and due my second at 31. I always feel really young at baby groups etc. Thirties are the new twenties!

SylvanianFrenemies · 11/01/2020 09:16

42! I had my first at 34, second at 38, a very early miscarriage at 40, a baby with severe abnormalities (had a tfmr at 18 weeks pregnant) at 41.

I am now about 8 weeks. This will be my last pregnancy no matter what. I don't feel too old, but there has to be a cut off point.

doadeer · 11/01/2020 09:18

I'm 30 next week my DS is one but I'm the youngest at every single baby group I go to. All mums late 30s near me so no way are you too old!!

Kanga83 · 11/01/2020 09:27

I was 30 when I had my first and 32 when I had my second. I'm 37 now and feel too old to even consider it again. My SIL in law had her third at 44 and my BIL turned 50 that year.

Roseinbloom20 · 11/01/2020 09:32

Fell pregnant at 26 and was 27 when I had my first. Currently 25 weeks pregnant with my second and I'll be 31 when he's born but we had a very late loss in between so I should have been "done" at 30 and I'm 99% sure this will be my last. I always said my personal cut off for having babies is 35 but I don't think I can mentally go through another pregnancy after this one.

RoLaren · 11/01/2020 09:35

Had mine at 39, 40 and 43. Now contemplating a fourth 😃
