This is a safe space and supportive thread for anyone who is pregnant following a loss. We all understand the worry and anxiety that can come from being pregnant again following miscarriage/stillbirth.

Please feel free to join, even if you were not on the original TTC thread.

Starting the roll call copied from the last thread. Not everyone is on there, so please add to it/update/edit.
Also, thought it might be fun if we add Girl/Boy/Surprise on there too, so we can see who's expecting what

Merry Christmas Everyone, just popping in to wish you all well and have a quick catch up on messages (everyone is still asleep in this house).

@KnitKitty what a lovely little girl, just in time for Christmas. Very relieved all is okay! Amazing she can breathe on her own too! Hope she has a lovely first christmas!

It is rather late @sadtoday21 I think we had ours at around 28-30 week mark BUT it's better to do it than not surely? I dont think it would make any difference as long as you dont labour before it I guess!

Absolutely brilliant weight! Its amazing isn't it that you grew that and your milk is continuing to be his only food source @Beaglemum93 ! Have a wonderful first christmas together

Oh what wonderful news @RedRobin7 ! Hope your migraines ease up

You certainly wont be a rubbish mum @InDreamland ! Although I dont know you in real life, your compassion and love certainly come across on MN. Lovely you are able to work from home from now on, much better than that commute! Good luck for next 8 weeks!

So true and right back at you @frillyfarmer . Xx

@Squiff70 sorry you've been moved again, what a journey (quite physically too) this has been on your family. I hope Christmas with Ava, despite everything she is going through, is gentle and with some joy on you all. I'm so sorry about Elliot.

I'll be lighting candles tonight, in memory of my two babies and of everyone's babies here too. It's a strange time of year for those with loved ones dead. I'm so excited for the day ahead but equally feel on verge of crying and never being able to stop.

coconutlatte44 · 25/12/2019 17:56

Wow @KnitKitty, congratulations!! Can’t believe she is already here! Hope you Both continue to recover well.

Bluebelltulip · 25/12/2019 20:11

Merry Christmas everyone.

@RedRobin7 congratulations.

@JuniperAndRose I'm sorry hear that you have had another loss, I hope 2020 is a much better year.

@Twittlebee it's a tough time of year for any loss, I haven't done a candle for DD2 but did wish her a merry Christmas.

I've cried several times today for DD2 as it should be her first Christmas and because DD1 is poorly and I need to leave her to go into hospital tomorrow. I know she will be fine with her grandparents but I don't like leaving her unwell, it's just a cold and sore throat.

fnej01 · 25/12/2019 20:35

Merry Christmas to all you lovely ladies.

Sorry I've really lost track on the thread, but having read the last day or so posts, I just want echo as others have said the thanks to you all for support over the last couple of years. I can't believe after 4 losses I am sitting here 27+3 with this one. Still full of lots of fear, but just a smidge or hope.
Let's hope next year we are all on another thread, chatting about our rainbows first Xmas!

@Squiff70 sorry to hear that the funeral had to be moved and that Ava has had surgery. I hope that you are coping ok and have some support in real life. Unfortunately am in Essex so no where near Liverpool.

@knitkitty massive congratulations on the arrival of your beautiful daughter. So happy you are all safe and sound. Enjoy every second, hope you are home soon. X

@Bluebelltulip good luck for tomorrow

Love to everyone else. Sorry for the limited reply. Currently hosting all family for 48 hours. It's Chaos! X

Squiff70 · 25/12/2019 20:40

Just a quick one to wish you all a Merry Christmas Xmas Smile

Kayjay2018 · 25/12/2019 20:51

@Bluebelltulip all the best for tomorrow, Leaving your little ones when they are unwell is never easy. I think it's only natural you are emotional right now. I know I've thought about my little one I lost back in April almost every day recently, they were due on 2nd December so would have been here by now. No one apart from DH knows so there have been lots of comments about next Christmas being the bumps first one and that's been hard
@Twittlebee I hope you have had as good a day as possible, it's lovely that you are lighting the candles but so sad that you have to, life can be so very unfair
@Squiff70 I hope you and your family have had a stable Christmas Day, it must be very difficult being so far from home, I hope Ava is getting the care she needs
@JuniperAndRose I hope we see you back here sometime soon, I'm sorry you had sick bad news at your scan
@KnitKitty your daughter is absolutely beautiful. What a surprise for you that she arrived so early, I'm pleased she is doing so well, I hope you get home with her very soon
@InDreamland I can't believe you are 32 weeks already! I think everyone has moments of self doubt as a parent, they never go away! You will be an awesome mum
@RedRobin7 what an excellent scan and great news to be moved forward on dates
@Beaglemum93 what an impressive weight gain! I hope you have had a great Christmas together

Hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas Day!

Rubyroost · 25/12/2019 21:00

Happy Christmas everyone.

Hope things are as good as they can be @Squiff70.

My two year old and boyfriend both have flu, but I don't have it... Yet! It's clearly one that the vaccine does not protect against as my mil had the jab and she is very poorly with it.

So Christmas is postponed for now until everyone is better. My two year old is having a packet of Crisps for dinner as that is all he will eat. Hmm I've been syringing water into his mouth and replaced with ribena as he was resisting that.. It worked wonders.. Thank god.

sadtoday21 · 25/12/2019 22:29

@KnitKitty massive congrats!!! What wonderful news! I’m so happy for you ❤️

Happy holidays and a happy new year to all! Will do a proper catch up tomorrow!

Bluebelltulip · 26/12/2019 05:51

Thank you @fnej01 and @KayJay2018.

@RubyRoost oh no, I hope your DS feels better soon and that you don't get it.

I'm booked in to be induced today and I still can't believe that I'm actually going bring this baby home until it's here. I'm a mixture of nervous and excited. Just been to tuck DD1 back in as she was moaning in her sleep (kicked her duvet off) I love her so much.

RedRobin7 · 26/12/2019 07:23

@Bluebelltulip Good luck today! Will be thinking of you xx

Twittlebee · 26/12/2019 07:34

MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue · 26/12/2019 11:32

Good luck today @Bluebelltulip! Thinking of you lovely xxx

Mistymeow · 26/12/2019 12:21

@KnitKitty oh wow massive congrats! I met my friend’s baby who was born slightly earlier than your little girl, again preeclampsia. Mum is fine and baby is a healthy 10 monther. It’s been wonderful to see you with your rainbow baby after following you on your journey for such a long time. You did it!
@Bluebelltulip hope it all goes well x

Merry Christmas one and all x

sadtoday21 · 26/12/2019 15:50

Good luck @Bluebelltulip!!

Twittlebee · 26/12/2019 18:27

Visited where we scattered Roy's ashes this morning, was so blustery and quite a long walk but was special. We took DS1 with us for the first time, he has been talking about Roy a lot lately. Not sure he understand what we were telling him about the ashes at all though,he asked if we could get Roy back Sad

Worryingly, the bleeding has got worse after the walk. Looks like I really need to be on proper rest rest Sad

Bluebelltulip · 27/12/2019 15:13

@Twittlebee sounds like a lovely day thing to include DS in. How is the bleeding now?

I had a little boy this morning, 5lb13oz. Induction worked a bit too well and needed to be slowed down.

Rubyroost · 27/12/2019 15:17

Excellent news @Bluebelltulip. Well done and congrats. Love how you just slipped that in there. That's great that induction worked.

Twittlebee · 27/12/2019 15:17

Congratulations @Bluebelltulip ! Are you both well? How is everything? Flowers

Bleeding still bad, I'm at my mum's resting up whilst she looks after DS and gets me food/drink. Spent the morning googling and now terrified it just a waiting game for my placenta to detach

Rubyroost · 27/12/2019 15:21

Oh @Twittlebee I'm sorry to hear that, I've got all my fingers (and toes) crossed for you. A very worrying time, I don't know how you're coping. But, bed rest sounds like althe only thing for you at the mo. X

MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue · 27/12/2019 15:59

Ahhh I've been waiting for your news @Bluebelltulip! Congratulations on the birth of your brand new son! I imagine your emotions are all over the place right now and it's a bit of a mixed time for you, but I hope you are enjoying some snuggles and getting some rest after the induction. Big virtual hugs xxx

Sorry you're still having to experience bleeding @Twittlebee. When is your next appointment? Is there a midwife or consultant you can talk to in the meantime?

Great to read your update @RedRobin7!

How is your DS @Rubyroost? Did you manage to have a Christmas?

I've been manic with Christmas for the past three days. Had most of our family here at some point! Absolutely exhausted after hosting and looking after DD (who has been brilliant despite the Christmas craziness) but had a fabulous time and feel happy tired. My family left early afternoon and it's finally dawning on me what is meant to happen in THREE DAYS TIME! TBH I am trying not to think about it too much as I have loads of fears and worries that I don't really want to dwell on. Early night tonight.

I hope everyone else had lovely Christmases and you're all ok? xxx

Kayjay2018 · 27/12/2019 16:14

@Bluebelltulip massive congratulations what an amazing wight your son was for being a few weeks early. I hope you are getting some rest and some time to enjoy your new arrival. Hopefully you will be home soon.
@Twittlebee I'm sorry things are not going smoothly, hopefully getting your feet up will help. Are your local hospital able to offer any more advice than to rest?
@MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue that's great you have had a lovey Christmas time, can't believe how quickly the January dates are coming around. Hope you get some rest over the next few days

Rubyroost · 27/12/2019 16:15

@MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue thanks for asking. No, not yet. He ate very little yesterday. He slept okay last night. Wailed half way through (probably because he's getting used to coming into my bed when he cries) but then slept til 10.30. Had some milk... Hurrah! Then a few bites of toast. We went out shopoing and by the time we got back he was comatosed and falling asleep on my boyfriend (I know I'm supposedly too old for that term) so I've had to put him in his cot with no attempt at lunch. Will offer him food when he wakes. He's doing alright, I think. He's eaten tiny bits for the last 5 days, but I'm thinking that's pretty normal. And we're managing to get enough fluids down him. Boyfriend is worse and still very poorly, he's pretty much out of action. Toddlers can be so bloody resilient, can't they?
And me, the immune suppressed pregnant woman, I've not got anything yet, but a mild cold. I've googled and read it's possible to get the virus and not develop flu so fingers crossed. Was feeling a bit guilty as I've not had the flu jab, but turns out the flu jab does not appear to work on this strain anyhow. Made me think I must get a whooping cough jab tho as it was a close scrape.

Rubyroost · 27/12/2019 16:17

Oooh exciting... Three Days time!
