This is a safe space and supportive thread for anyone who is pregnant following a loss. We all understand the worry and anxiety that can come from being pregnant again following miscarriage/stillbirth.

Please feel free to join, even if you were not on the original TTC thread.

Starting the roll call copied from the last thread. Not everyone is on there, so please add to it/update/edit.
Also, thought it might be fun if we add Girl/Boy/Surprise on there too, so we can see who's expecting what

I just left the building and went to another part of where I work. Ooh you look bigger than yesterday. Really? Now fuck off. 😡 I made it quite clear I was not happy with the comment, I didn't actually say fuck off

InDreamland · 11/02/2020 16:54

@Twittlebee goodness that is really not on. You should not be treated less favourably just because you're pregnant. Sounds like many of you here are experiencing discriminatory behaviour because of your pregnancies, do not stand for it. Record all instances in writing and say you will not stand for it ......... threaten grievance and employment tribunals! I'm disgusted with employers who think they can get away with treating pregnant women poorly. Also your mother, totally not acceptable to say those things, is just hurtful and insensitive.
I'd keep some distance for now, you don't need unsupportive people around you. Thanks, I do feel like it's dragging but at same time simply cannot believe I'm 39 weeks today. I feel ready but at same time don't feel ready. I'm so muddled at the moment.

@Rubyroost food on you for persisting and getting through finally. You need to be taken seriously and given the support and care you deserve. Fx for a good scan result on Monday! Didn't go into labour last night and absolutely zero sign of it starting any time soon. Oh well, I will just have to go with whatever Bubsy has planned for me .......not something I'm good with as a total control freak.

@Mistymeow glad you had a good growth scan and it is good she's double checking as it means they're ensuring you get the best care. Mmmm I love tapas, hope you enjoy it, don't need to fill up on bread anyway!

@MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue lovely to hear from you, hope little brother is doing well ans and putting on a healthy amount of weight. Thanks, I just am so desperate for Bubsy to be here happy and healthy now. I cannot believe I'm at this stage.

@ChikiTIKI glad you're well! Yep, the storms have been crazy here but calmed down today thankfully.

@frillyfarmer awww happy 30th for next week! Goodness feel old! Good idea on doing a delayed celebration in the summer, I may have to do something similar. I totally agree on avoiding the overpriced set menus, DH and I have agreed no cards or gifts for VD (as neither of us are really into VD) and we'll just get a takeaway. I'll probably make my way through a fizzy sugary bottle of something non alcoholic but definitely have a glass of vino if you fancy it, one or two won't hurt. I've seen SIL have a few glasses of bubbly whilst pregnant and her kids are all absolutely fine, healthy and very intelligent. Do you think your BH are a sign labour is imminent?

@Catconfusion I would say yes to pushing to be seen sooner. Hope your midwife can help and support you there.

Managed to walk up to the high street today, pretty impressive I thought given I'm 39 weeks today although it was from determination to satisfy my craving for soft white bread rolls with ham and coleslaw which I couldn't resist anymore. Yesterday and today baby has been very squirmy/wriggly which is reassuring after last week's scare. Also stopped off at card shop to buy my mum's Mother's Day card, thought I'd get it now rather than risk not feeling up to it next month, at least I have it and feel a bit organised having bought it. There's also a bit of me that is worried I'll have a repeat of last year's Mother's Day where I almost burst into tears in the card shop thinking of the two I'd lost. I am really hoping this year I will have my first Mother's Day with my rainbow and take home baby.

Bluebelltulip · 12/02/2020 08:50

This thread dropped off my I'm on list too @Frillyfarmer.

Wow @InDreamland can't believe that you are so close now. I really struggled with mother's Day last year too.

Sorry to read about your GD diagnosis @RubyRoost, I know it's something you have worried about for a long time.

@Twittlebee sorry to hear about problems at work and that your mum isn't being supportive.

DS is getting over his milk reaction last week and starting to get smiles now. DD also held him for the first time on Monday which was lovely.

InDreamland · 12/02/2020 09:24

Ladies I'm panicking. Got up this morning. Thought my mucus plug had come away. Was pink with red streaks when wiped. But then bleeding got heavier, proper red like period started. Put a pad on now and it's on pad. Called MAFU, now in taxi to take me to hospital. Feel like crying. Something must be wrong to be bleeding this much.

InDreamland · 12/02/2020 09:24

DH is at work and too long to get home so going alone. I'm so worried.

Bluebelltulip · 12/02/2020 09:27

@InDreamland I hope all is ok, giving you a hand hold. I bled when I was in labour with DD1 and wasn't a problem but needed monitoring.

Catconfusion · 12/02/2020 09:29

@Indreamland I couldn’t read and run. Take some deep breaths in and out and try not to worry. My midwife said yesterday bleeding can be a normal sign of labour. You’re getting yourself to the hospital so you’ll soon be in right place. Good luck and let us know how you are! xx

InDreamland · 12/02/2020 09:30

@Bluebelltulip thanks. It's not normal though is it? Can't believe I've started bleeding now. Thought when mucus plug goes it's just pink and that's it until labour starts? It's like my period has started. Of course traffic is terrible now. Taxi driver taking a back route to avoid as much as possible but even when all clear it's 20 minutes.

InDreamland · 12/02/2020 09:31

Thanks @Catconfusion

Josiemae2013 · 12/02/2020 09:31

I’m 4 weeks today and my hcg isn’t doubling last Tuesday was 130 then Thursday was 181 then Monday was 390 but my progesterone is in the middle so not low and now high . This happened last year and I went up to 8 weeks got a gear eat and fetus then lost it 😔 had two scans and they don’t know if there’s a sac but got to go back Friday for another scan . No cramps or bleeding just basic sickness and tiredness and constant weeing, could this go on to be a healthy pregnancy or is it more likely I’m going to miscarriage again or have an ectopic pregnancy please help guys! Need to hear success stories and I’m praying there’s some Miricle and hope!

Twittlebee · 12/02/2020 09:31

@InDreamland good luck! Really hoping all is okay. Bleeding can certainly be part of normal labour, especially after losing your plug. But please do get them to test for infection as they told me that's also a very common cause of bleeding and might be what kicked started my labours.

InDreamland · 12/02/2020 09:36

Thanks for the advice @TwittleBee good to know. I will definitely ask. This is the worst feeling, like when we ended up at EPU for the losses.

tinatsarina · 12/02/2020 09:45

Hi everyone just thought I'd update as I havent been on for a while. So I'm 38 weeks today getting some pains but nothing in a pattern. Going for a sweep next week as my blood pressure is abit up and down and they're cautious about letting me go to 40 weeks. The 14th here will be the anniversary of my miscarriage last year and I have mixed feelings. Sad that the little one never made it but counting my blessings that this one is ok. I hope everyone else is ok.

frillyfarmer · 12/02/2020 10:32

Oh @InDreamland I'm hoping everything is OK for you. Sending all my love xx

Rubyroost · 12/02/2020 11:07

Good luck @Indreamland I'm hoping this is start of labour for you rather than anything sinister. Bllod would worry me too, but it hopefully it's normal as @Twittlebee suggests. Thinking of you x

Rubyroost · 12/02/2020 11:09

Hi and welcome @Josiemae2013 sorry I don't have any advice regarding your levels as I haven't experienced this. I'm assuming they'll test again and youll have a better idea. Sorry you're going through this anxiety.

sadtoday21 · 12/02/2020 11:11

@InDreamland I really hope you are ok, let us know how you get on. Hopefully it’s the start of labour and they can monitor you closely. Hope your DH gets to hospital soon too X. Thinking of you ❤️

sadtoday21 · 12/02/2020 11:15

Ladies do I need to pay privately to get a GBS test done? My latest anxiety at 5 am...it’s routine in the states but not here and now I’m worried that I need to get it done ASAP before I hit 37 weeks next week.

tinatsarina · 12/02/2020 11:40

@InDreamland hope your ok and it's nothing sinister. How far along are you now?

Rubyroost · 12/02/2020 11:41

@sadtoday21 what is a gbs test?

Rubyroost · 12/02/2020 11:44

Ahhhh looked it up, it's not done on the nhs is it, so yeah if you wanted it you'd need to pay privately

fnej01 · 12/02/2020 11:55

@indreamland just flicking on quick in work and seen your update - good luck thinking of you

@Rubyroost I think you are having c section I think I have read GBS is mainly a risk for vaginal birth? I had thought similarly about you private tests

sadtoday21 · 12/02/2020 11:59

@fnej01 @Rubyroost its group b strep test - can be very dangerous for baby after vaginal birth if not treated with antibiotics. There are no symptoms if you have it and its very common. I don't understand why they wouldn't do a simple swab test for this, when its something so preventable that can have such terrible consequences for people.

@fnej01 why did you decide not to have it done privately, if I may ask? The test online only costs 35 pounds, but you have to do the swabs yourself and I'm worried I won't do it correctly.

InDreamland · 12/02/2020 12:11

@tinatsarina @frillyfarmer @Rubyroost @sadtoday21 @fnej01 thank you. Still at hospital. Was on monitor for 1 hour and examined. Blood and clots apparently by cervix so now been moved to labour ward, waiting to be seen.

Bluebelltulip · 12/02/2020 12:16

@InDreamland glad you are being looked after. Hope you are assessed on labour ward soon.
