5 weeks Pregnant

Hi all,

I am only 5 weeks pregnant (due 24th of July) with baby number 2! All went well last pregnancy (appart from horrific morning sickness from 6 - 23 weeks)

I have seen a few old threads with Ladies asking this question but would be nice to have some reassurance from other Mums to be on how terrifying the wait to 12 weeks is!

I'm so scared something goes wrong every time I go to the loo I'm checking for blood and any pains in my abdomen i feel I'm convinced something bad is happening 😭 x

How's everyone's symptoms now? I am exhausted boobs are excruciating and the nausea is getting worse although I've not actually been sick! Happy 6 weeks to me hehe x

I have bloating, sore boobs and i have been getting a sharp pain in my right side 🤔 not sure what that is but hopefully nothing bad! The bloat is awful though, i feel conscious like everyone is looking at my stomach. Probably all in my head lol. At least you haven't been sick, that's good news. Hopefully it doesn't progress! Oh happy 6 weeks! I feel that's such a milestone! I'm counting the days get to my 6 weeks!

I was getting all sorts of cramps and sharp pains last week it all seems to have settled. I know the bloating is horrible I was so slim up till 17 weeks last time doubt thats happening this time think I'll need to rethink my xmas night outfit Haha! Aww I know I was desperate to get to 6 weeks too feel a little more relaxed about it all although still checking for blood everytime I pop to the loo! How long till your 6 weeks? Did you book an early scan? X

My symptoms;
Sick as a dog
Burping loads
Weepy
Sore nips
Bit of insomnia - keep waking up in the early hours

Boobs not sore, not tired, sense of smell isn't that strong either.

Only thing I want to eat is salt and vinegar snackajacks.

Had a bit of light cramping low down on one side after we had sex last night and vague mild cramps just every now and then that make me nervous.

Oh I'm 5+5 today, don't think I'm bloated but I have barely eaten sooo 🤷

@JackGordonsMummy I am 5+4 today. It's reassuring to know you had the same sorts of niggles as I'm having. I've just been reading so much online about miscarriage and ectopic pregnancies that it has really freaked me out and I'm convincing myself something is happening. Glad you're starting to feel more relaxed, it definitely must feel amazing to see Every thing is progressing as should be.

I haven't booked the scan yet, I want to wait until I reach 6 weeks before booking. Oh yes I'm the same with the checking for blood. Convinced there will be something there every time! X

I’m 5+3
Haven’t really felt any symptoms today which is making me really nervous, but then when I get cramps and pains that makes me nervous too. I was getting a lot of cramps, headaches and occasionally felt dizzy - but the headaches and dizziness have not been around so much in the last few days. I do feel bloated but I’m not exactly skinny anyway so hard to tell. Lot of discharge. Sore boobs.

Today has taken a turn for me. I'm 5+3 and besides the bloating/burping/sore boobs I've now got that horrible pregnancy taste in my mouth, along with zero appetite because everything seems gross.

Totally off anything sweet BUT no nausea yet although I know this is how is starts
I felt so great yesterday grrr!

Oh yeah, I forgot to add burping to my list of symptoms- it’s so weird, I never burp! Ok not never but it’s pretty rare, now I’m at it all the time.

Hello ladies, glad you are all getting symptoms. Although it's horrible to be retching all the time, it's reassuring too. I'm very worried that I have been feeling slightly nauseas in the past few days but not at all anymore. I'm a nervous wreck!

I've booked an early scan for 14th when I'll be 8 weeks exactly. Just don't know how I'm going to make waiting for 2 whole weeks!! 😱

@pottypotamus I'm the exact same, my boobs have been agony the past 2 week's and this morning they are barely tender at all. I also woke up with strong cramping through the night. No blood though as yet. I am a bag of nerves, which can't be helping!

2 weeks does seem ages away, the days are very long at this stage aren't they. I've felt this last week since I've found out had been longer than the whole of the year haha! Hopefully it passes quickly for you! Very exciting to have a date sorted!

Going to go for an early scan on 9th December as feel I cant get excited until I get some sort of sign all is okay!
Has anyone tried the seven seas vitamins?! Was starting to feel sickly, exhausted and swollen everywhere, but these are amazing, have made me feel more perky than usual! Actually feeling happy pregnant now!

Thank you! I'm hoping they pass quick too! I've got a few things on for the lead up to Christmas so hoping they'll keep me distracted! Still have to do most of my shopping and going to see ds first ever school Christmas performance!

I'm the same, I think I may settle a little if the early scan goes ok. I've been taking the seven seas trying to conceive tablets. And because I bought a few packs, I've still got some to get through.

I was 7 weeks yesterday. Oh, the nausea! I was very nearly sick on a train. I don't remember feeling this bad his early last time (this is my second pregnancy) but maybe I've forgotten how bad it was.

Ha - I was worrying a couple of weeks ago that I felt 100% normal and had no symptons... now I am feeling rubbish and wishing I felt normal again! Midwife appt next week, will hipefully hear the heartbeat!

Who'd have thought I'd be wishing nausea on myself!! 😳😳

I’m the same @pottypotamus - waking up hoping to feel sick it’s madness.

I don’t feel sick and the need to pee all the time has died down and I really am freaking out with the uncertainty and it’s only been a week! Not sure how I’ll get through the next 7 or so. I did another clearblue weeks indicator today, it’s gone from 1-2 weeks last week to 2-3 weeks today. So it’s good I guess that it’s going up but I should be 3+ by now so am now also anxious about that.

I really need to start thinking about something else (like the wedding in 3 weeks for example that there’s still loads to do for) before I drive myself mad.

Fuck I’ve now got some spotting. I don’t know what to do. I’ve not even told the GP yet so don’t know who to call

@AliasGrape do you have an early pregnancy unit/emergency gynaecology unit in your local hospital or maternity hospital?
