Not 5 but 4 Smile. I was hoping to maybe start a thread for super newbies lol x

BuffaloCauliflower · 29/10/2019 14:44

Me Smile 5 weeks today or tomorrow (the doctor and the pregnancy+ app seem to disagree despite counting from the same day!

Lgxo · 29/10/2019 14:57

4+5 today ☺️

sophherts · 29/10/2019 15:10

Me! 4+5 today too

pollysproggle · 29/10/2019 15:23

Hi @bubblesqueek I'm 5+6
Congratulations everyone!
My god I'm tired. Is there such a thing as a pregnancy safe pick me up for the afternoons?

toomuchteaandcake · 29/10/2019 15:31

4+6 here :-)

Also insanely tired! My doc told me yesterday if your body is telling you to go to bed at 9pm you go to bed. Barely made it there last night!

bubblesqueek · 29/10/2019 15:56

Hi everyone, congratulations.. just thought I'd make a thread because it's a bit of a daunting time waiting isn't it.

A bit about me been really bad sick for three month after everything I eat resulting in coming off my pill as it wouldn't be working anyway.. had to go for the camera in to my stomach to see why, did a test a day before turned out I was pregnant and here we are now 4/5 weeks pregnant, got a DD age 6 also..

What about you ladies? Xx

@toomuchteaandcake
My body is telling me to go to bed at 2pm lol!
Not possible in my house but I will be going to bed as soon as I can.

@bubblesqueek
A nice surprise baby! I bet that was a shock?
This will hopefully be my third and definitely last baby. DS1 is nearly 13 and DS2 is 3 and a half. 3rd pregnancy and the early weeks never get any easier, it's still such an anxious time.

bubble2020 · 29/10/2019 16:50

I am around 5 weeks too, HUGE surprise as was on the pill and YES taken ever day without fail at the same time as I kept it in my makeup bag and took before I done my makeup each day. So total shock only found out because I kept feeling light headed and sicky with very sore boobs.

I am excited but also so scared, I have been getting twinges like pains that come and go and not sleeping great at all, how are you ladies feeling?

BuffaloCauliflower · 29/10/2019 17:23

First baby, first cycle TTC here. Honestly just feels like such a fluke, I was all geared up for months of disappointment! Feeling mostly anxious as a result, and watching every symptom. Boobs have suddenly stopped hurting and got very very light spotting with some cramps yesterday that made me panic, but went to book pregnancy in with doctor today and she said she thinks probably implantation even this late. Some cramps this morning but feeling ok. Honestly it’s just stressful that so many symptoms can be both totally normal or something to worry about at the same time Sad

pollysproggle · 29/10/2019 17:27

@BuffaloCauliflower
First cycle ttc for me too! Also, with one of my pregnancies I had bleeding at 7 weeks which they said was implantation so it definitely can happen later on.

BuffaloCauliflower · 29/10/2019 17:30

Thanks @pollysproggle that’s good to hear Smile. It’s not bleeding proper so not too too worried. I think it’s this real feeling of being out of control, if something goes wrong there’s nothing I can do, and I have no idea how it is in there. I’m mostly just anxious!

toomuchteaandcake · 29/10/2019 18:32

First cycle for me too 🤣🤣

Dixie87 · 29/10/2019 18:46

I'm 5 weeks also. I never knew this level of tiredness existed!
Congrats everyone

thatvegangirl · 29/10/2019 19:51

Hi everyone! Congratulations!!

I'm so happy I found this thread Smile I'm 4+2 first cycle TTC too - I really didn't expect to get pregnant so quickly. Completely agree @BuffaloCauliflower that it feels like a total fluke. This is my first baby, I'm 36, so I'm a bit older and everyone close to me who's had kids has had issues conceiving unfortunately. Our plan was to start trying 'officially' from Jan. Oct and Nov were meant to be test runs! We were even planning on having a break and a chill out over Xmas! I'm delighted, but it's all very daunting indeed and very early days. This is turning in to War and Peace - but I'm very happy to have found this thread, I'm also very very tired and missing caffeine desperately.

BuffaloCauliflower · 29/10/2019 20:25

See I’m not tired at all, I feel fine now except for some intermittent cramping, which has also gone now. I know everyone’s different but it does make me worry. Who knows what’s to come though.

I hear you on the caffeine @thatvegangirl. I usually have at least 3 proper coffees, now down to one and some secretive decafs so my colleagues don’t notice 😬

pollysproggle · 29/10/2019 20:59

I'm missing the caffeine too. My day used to depend on a 4.30pm coffee or a Diet Coke to see me through.
My tiredness has only started in the last few days @BuffaloCauliflower but so far no nausea or sore boobs which is really weird for me. I can already tell this pregnancy is so different from my previous 2.
I am getting up in the night to pee but I think that's more down to the incredible thirst I have so I'm drinking loads of water before bed.
Anyone else really thirsty?

Siobhan1989 · 29/10/2019 21:03

I’m 5 weeks tomorrow and the past few days I’ve been insanely tired by 8pm too! Boobs feel like they are about to explode already especially at the end of the day?! Other than that I’m feeling great 🙂 very very happy

BuffaloCauliflower · 29/10/2019 21:08

I’m always thirsty and always wee loads, so no idea if that’s effected as it’s nothing new! Feeling a bit nauseous in the morning is also normal for me, but I know it’s still a bit early for morning sickness so who knows what’s ahead. I know my DM had no morning sickness with any of her pregnancies.

thatvegangirl · 29/10/2019 21:30

I'm still waiting for something to happen with my boobs! They feel completely normally, which seems very odd given everything I've read (probably need to stop reading so much and watching youtube...), but they are quite small...I have no idea if that makes a difference! It's hard not to read into what symptoms you do or don't have, but I guess you have to try not to worry (wayyyy easier said than done) as everyone's body is different.

I'm weeing alot, but that's not unusual. I'm also super gassy (possibly tmi) and I have a mad twitchy right eye (no idea if that's related). I can't function as a person without caffeine in the morning, so I'm really missing that post lunch coffee @pollysproggle

peachesforfree · 29/10/2019 22:09

5+3. I don’t really feel any different which worried we slightly. As it’s via ivf I’ve had a few blood tests to check hcg going up, and having an early scan next week. Worried there’ll be nothing there! Maybe I’m slightly more tired but that’s all.

bellebox19 · 30/10/2019 06:32

I'm 4 weeks and yesterday the tiredness hit! Went to bed at 8pm and slept like a log. That's my alarm just went off now lol, could continue sleeping but I really need to pee.

Finding it uncomfortable to sleep on my boobs too. They were already a good size but they've just ballooned 😂. DH isn't complaining lol.

It's been almost 3 years of TTC for us and we were just about to start our fertility treatment so it seems like a Christmas miracle Grin.

wholemeal121 · 30/10/2019 08:03

Hello everyone. I'm 4+2. I haven't had a BFP yet so haven't told my husband but based on temps and symptoms I'm fairly certain. I had an early MC in June so don't want to get our hopes up!

thirteen92 · 30/10/2019 08:13

Me!! I’m 5+5 although I’m still trying to get this confirmed by GP! Had BFP on hpts but had bloods done at 5 weeks and hcg was only 15.5 so they deemed it inconclusive. Had bloods redone at 5+4 and GP is hoping for a level of at least 30!

I’ve been in such a state. I think I ovulated and implanted late... it’s hard to gauge though as I didn’t get a positive opk stick this month either. I’m still testing at home everyday and still getting BFP! I just hope everything’s ok!

bubblesqueek · 30/10/2019 08:29

@pollysproggle yeah defo a shock, I thought the test was wrong so did seven more 😂 a nice little shock tho, your right it is dead anxious, I think think I'm a fake talking about pregnancy before Iv seen it on the screen ha xx
