Anyone else on here around 5 weeks pregnant? X

Hi all
Im a out 5-6 weeks but have an early scan tomorrow to see what is going on. This was a complete accident and from a one night stand so trying to come to terms with that and get ready to try and tell him somehow. Im really scared and struggling to come to terms with this because all I have ever wanted was a baby. I just can't believe this is happening.
In terms of "symptoms" now that I know I am pregnant, the symptoms I have had all make sense. Cramping, sickness, gone completely off of food, so tired I can't even describe it. I am literally falling asleep on the spot. My mum is my rock luckily. Whilst I am here do you lovely ladies have any advice on how I tell the father? I don't have his number anymore so was planning on writing to him.

@ScaredMuma2020 congratulations, even in the situation it's a blessing.. first off when you tell him don't let him talk you in to anything you don't want to do, do you want to have a baby on your own, or is it a possibility he might stand up ? Luckily you have your mam, mams are always the best.. as for telling him I have no idea but, is there no other way to get his number or tell him you need to talk, if you write to him you don't know if he has received it. How are you feeling about the full thing? Xx

@bubblesqueek thank you for the reply it means a lot. I am excited about having a baby and will definitely keep it. I wish I had his number but I deleted it and I don't know any way of getting it. The only way to get to him without writing a letter would be through facebook but I am not sure how I feel about it. In my heart I would love him to want to be involved but I know that probably won't be the case.
My mum is amazing. So happy with her reaction but we are waiting to have the scan tomorrow to make sure everything is ok then I will tell him. X

@ScaredMuma2020 yeah have you scan and go from there.. maybe message him on Facebook ask him for his number and then ring him? You never know he might do but if not your baby will have all the love from you and your family . Here if you want to vent or talk, it's sometimes easier with strangers xx

I don't think I could do it over phone. Yeah I think start with facebook and see what happens. Doesn't help i am sat here feeling so tired and bloated haha

@ScaredMuma2020 this is my 4th day in bed due to sickness, dizziness, and feel like I have the worst hangover ha. It gets better, just a few more weeks ha xx

Hello again everyone!
Quiet because so sick and tired all the time. All day I work and look after kids then as soon as they're in bed I go to sleep.
I'm 10 weeks tomorrow, seen the midwife and been put under a consultant as a high risk pregnancy. This is only because I have such large babies, I'm otherwise very healthy. It just means extra growth scans and a possible induction.
I'm getting really nervous about the 12 week scan now and praying all is well. This baby will be it for me, won't try again if the pregnancy doesn't work out so that's making me extra nervous.
I do feel very pregnant and my body is changing before my eyes but I keep torturing myself by reading missed miscarriage stories where women still had all the symptoms! It's a stupid thing to do I know. I definitely wasn't like this with my last pregnancies.
Anyway, only a few more weeks to my scan and I'll find out soon enough.

Anyone else full of worry like me?

@pollysproggle I was really worried before my 6 weeks scan then everything was fine and now Iv took the approach because like you I keep reading horror stories about missed MC so Iv took the approach I'm pregnant and everything is fine until proven not to be and if we have a 12 week scan and things arnt fine then it's happened for a reason however sad it may be. Iv also been ill been off work all week just starting to feel normal but still nauseous xx

Sorry I haven't been talking - I haven't been getting any notifications on this thread so assumed it had gone quiet.

How are you all doing?
I'm really struggling with sickness atm, I didn't go into work yesterday and likely to not today. I haven't been able to hold down a meal for a few days and had diarrhoea. Not sure if it's pregnancy related or if I caught a bug on the plane, we landed on Tuesday after being in Dubai for a few days.

Hello everyone! How is everyone doing? This board is very quiet.
Just an update on me, had my 12 week scan. They have dated me a bit further along than I thought so I'm now 13+2 instead of 12+4. Due 21st June
All great with baby, just one in there thank god!
My mum can not wait until my 20 week scan to find out the sex of the baby so she's booked me a scan for when I'm 16 weeks to find out 😁
I hope everyone is well, my morning sickness cleared up completely between 10-11 week then over the weekend it came back with a vengeance and I spent two days in bed!

Glad to hear everything is well! I have my 12 week on Thursday feeling super nervous about it, much worse than when I had my early scan at 7 weeks. Other than that just ridiculously tired all the time, looking forward to that particular symptom lifting for sure

I had my 12 week scan on Thursday, it was amazing, although I was disappointed to hear I'd have to wait over a week for my blood test results so still can't share the wonderful news.

@toomuchteaandcake do you have to wait a while for yours?

Hi @FreshLinen what is the blood test for? I had one for infections etc but I'm based in NI so we don't get a screening blood test. We told our families over the last two nights and it's such a relief now the cats out of the bag!

You’re right, it was a screening blood test for Down's syndrome, Edwards' syndrome and Patau's syndrome.
