Pic won't upload directly from my phone. Only if I actually take a pic right now but I'm at work lol, oh well x

pollysproggle · 30/10/2019 13:28

@bellebox19
1-2 weeks would be correct if you're 4 weeks today. If you try again in a few days you'll probably get 2-3.
I tested at 5+2 and got 2-3 then a 3+ today at 6 weeks.

BuffaloCauliflower · 30/10/2019 13:37

@bellebox19 you should be able to upload from phone, it’s the only way I’ve ever done it. Click the paperclip and it should give you the option of going to your photo album/library to choose

bubblesqueek · 30/10/2019 13:40

@bellebox19 I'm the same I got 1-2 weeks last Monday then on the Thursday got 2-3 so that's 4-5 I think, there quite confusing.. seems a lot of people on Mumsnet and things are against them but I liked to see the weeks go up it relaxes you ( just a tiny bit haha ) xx

@BuffaloCauliflower first month TTC or first month using preseed? That stuff seems to be magic for me! I wasn’t offered a blood test - I had to insist on one. I’m not in the UK though

@bubblesqueek I’m worried about the age gap too, but then I think back to when I was about 10 and my older sister had her children - I was over the moon and loved spending time and playing with them. I never did get a younger sibling (my mum had had enough at 5 children) but loved looking after my newphews are nieces. My DD loves babies and younger children so I’m dying to tell her, but think I’ll wait until 12 weeks because otherwise she’ll tell the whole world lol. Have you told your DD?

BuffaloCauliflower · 30/10/2019 13:55

@PracticallySpeaking first month TTC. We tried a bit half heartedly at the end of last year but I don’t count that.

BuffaloCauliflower · 30/10/2019 13:55

And thought you might not be UK.

BuffaloCauliflower · 30/10/2019 13:59

@bailey31 I feel like I’ve got a bit of a bump but I think it’s a) just bloating b) I’ve got a little belly anyway and c) I’m more concerned about that part of my body than I usually would be!

bellebox19 · 30/10/2019 14:50

@BuffaloCauliflower I know, it used to work but every time I add a pic from my camera roll it just doesn't actually add it to the post it's so annoying lol!

@bubblesqueek @pollysproggle
Yeah, that's exactly why I wanted to do the digital lol, to see the weeks go up, fingers crossed it will change next week. I'm terrified of a chemical, I didn't even know a chemical was possible until I joined Mumsnet 😥 x

bubblesqueek · 30/10/2019 14:56

@bellebox19 oh god I didn't either when I was pregnant the first time I had a positive test and that was it then 40 weeks later had a baby.. join these forums for all they are good they can bloody scare you ha xx

@PracticallySpeaking oh god five ha!! Suppose big family's were more common back in the day tho, no we havnt told her yet I can't see her taking to it well at first but we will be around 12 weeks near Christmas so my plan was to book a private scan, tell her then take her to the scan so she can see it.. so she feels involved sort of thing.. will go one of two ways she will love it or hate it the scan that is not the baby haha. How are you planning on telling DD? Xx

I have a 9 year age gap between my two DS's!
I really worried about the age gap but it turned out that they're the best of friends and DS1 is brilliant with his little brother they're really close.

My big sister and I are only 2 years apart and we absolutely hated each other growing up, always fighting and arguing. Even in school we completely ignored each other it was that bad. My parents have a sack full of stories about our feud starting from when I was born pretty much. We get on well now of course but the close age gap didn't do us any favours when we were young!

bubblesqueek · 30/10/2019 15:20

@pollysproggle ohh so maybe it is a good thing ha, she's such a caring little soul and dead cuddly and kind, don't get me wrong she's massively sassy haha but I think once she comes to terms with it she will be fine xx

@bubblesqueek I hear you on the scaring! Particularly as people are more likely to reach out for support when things are wrong, which of course skews what you see. And for those of us prone to anxiety (me!) it can help to be knowledgable - like I had no idea about missed miscarriages - but also can feed the pain.

But I also feel sooo much more prepared for motherhood thanks to these forums so I won’t knock it.

Can I join? 4+1, first pregnancy, ttc for about a year. I’m scared and excited!

PracticallySpeaking · 30/10/2019 17:14

@bubblesqueek that’s a nice idea to take her to the scan. I was thinking of surprising her at Xmas by buying her a “big sis” necklace

@pollysproggle That’s great to hear about the age gap with your DSs. Really reassuring. And lol about you and your sister.

@bubblesqueek Wow first month TTC, that’s great! It sucks getting negative tests month after month

PracticallySpeaking · 30/10/2019 17:15

Anyone getting the flu vaccine?

I’m not sure what to do about it. I had it with DD but nearer the end of the pregnancy. Kind of worried it could cause a miscarriage. But then I also don’t want to be pregnant with the flu

BuffaloCauliflower · 30/10/2019 17:18

@2fingers22018 that is how he feels! He’s type 1 diabetic though which can cause sperm problems, another reason we were geared up for disappointment.

Yes to the cramps, all Monday and yesterday morning. Doctor thought implantation and it’s stopped now so that would be make sense. Not nice though

2fingers22018 · 30/10/2019 17:59

@BuffaloCauliflower i still had cramps on n off 2day and pains down my legs very weird bet u hes chuffed with himself lol @PracticallySpeaking ive been debating over wether to get it or not aswell especially this early on after all this time ttc im scared to do anything that could risk a miscarriage

Longtimelurker01 · 30/10/2019 18:02

Congratulations everyone! Can I join? I’m 4+4 today, second cycle after mmc in July so I’m trying not to get my hopes up again. This would be our first baby. I’m feeling quite tired and had a sore throat, which I had last time but just praying for the morning sickness that never arrived last time!

I’ve got an appointment with my GP tomorrow to hopefully get referred to early pregnancy for a scan.
