Just what it says really - anyone else near the end and would like some company? I'm driving myself crazy over here by myself!

@amehh yay that’s good news, hope the school run goes ok and that your DC have a sibling by the time school is out!!

40+4 here and nothing! Counting down to sweep take 2 tomorrow, but at least it means I’ll be around for trick or treating tonight with DSS!

Shewoman · 31/10/2019 11:06

Gave birth to my Halloween baby boy at about 9 this morning after labouring all night in the midwife unit, still deciding on a name, really relieved he's out and all went well if a little longer than I'd have hoped for a third!

greeneyedlulu · 31/10/2019 12:07

Congrats @shewoman x
I'm still waiting, got induced last night with a pessary, had some tightenings but still no baby!! Had a crazy ass aunt decide to publicly announce my baby's name on fb before she's even born so I went bat shit at her and hopefully deleted the comment before anyone else saw it!! Currently laying the bed waiting for monitoring and wishing I didn't have to wear these stupid blood clot stocking things as they are painfully tight!! I want this baby out now!!

amehh · 31/10/2019 12:19

Congratulations @Shewoman!

Back home but lots of contractions, just waiting for the magic 3 in 10 before we can go back in. They checked and it's definitely my waters, no worry for meconium so just waiting and hoping it'll come today :)

@shewoman congratulations! And fingers crossed things get moving soon @greeneyedlulu and @amehh, looks like there'll be lots of Halloween babies today!!

Pinkflipflop85 · 31/10/2019 13:06

@amehh make sure you keep an eye on the time since your waters broke. The longer they are broken for the more ar risk of infection you both are.
Mine were gone for 36 hours when they had to intervene and both me and baby are now very poorly Sad

Hopefully you will be absolutely fine but it's important to be aware of x

imiss · 31/10/2019 13:40

Congrats @Shewoman! Lost a bit more plug a moment ago and it was slightly less clear and more mucus looking than before so hopefully that means something?! Very wriggly baby, bad stomach continued this morning but no pains or anything lending to a contraction. Walked for an hour and managed sex this morning by some miracle so praying it gets things moving!

amehh · 31/10/2019 13:43

@Pinkflipflop85 really sorry to hear you are both poorly :( mine went at 7am and I'm booked in for tomorrow at 7am if I haven't had the baby by then so it's all on schedule but thank you Flowers are you in hospital still?

Just been for a walk and contractions have ramped up and about every 3-4 minutes now so just seeing if it carries on at this pace before we head back in

Congrats @Shewoman! And good luck @amehh sounds like it won't be much longer for you now.

Thanks for your messages, we came home today and just settling in now. Thinking of you all still waiting and sending positive thoughts for lots of babies soon x

amehh · 31/10/2019 22:11

Another halloween baby here after a very quick labour - 3cm at 3:30pm, baby out by 5:39pm. Ivy Elizabeth :) currently sleeping on DH - already has a favourite I think!

Congrats to all the Halloween babies 🎃😊☺️👍 I was in the hospital today for bloods etc back in the morning at 7 and I am first on the list for me section, although I have had all my babies by section I am terrified about what I am facing tomorrow.

Aurora79 · 31/10/2019 22:52

Congratulations @amehh, and what a beautiful name!

Good luck tomorrow @jpclarke!

Still nothing happening here, but hoping for some progress tomorrow with sweep 2!

Pinkflipflop85 · 01/11/2019 01:29

Congrats @amehh

Yes, still in hospital for us.

Shewoman · 01/11/2019 05:00

Congratulations @amehh and best of luck @Aurora79 and @jpclarke

greeneyedlulu · 01/11/2019 08:06

Congrats @amehh!! I'm so jealous, still no baby here, had the second pessary in last night and midwife said I haven't dilated at all with the 1st one!! I could cry!! I really don't want to be in hospital for so long. It took 7 days with my first and I hate the thought of being in that long again! Everyone keeps telling me second babies are quicker, every baby but mine!! Little minx already!! Grin

Aurora79 · 01/11/2019 10:09

@greeneyedlulu hopefully today will bring your baby! I’ll be joining you in the November baby crew- still nothing here except for me getting progressively more grumpy so hoping Sweep take 2 helps things along later!

greeneyedlulu · 01/11/2019 10:46

@aurora79 I'll join you at the grumpy table and we can have a G&T

Aurora79 · 01/11/2019 10:54

@greeneyedlulu ooh yes definitely joining you for the g&t! We still have a bottle of bubbles in the cupboard from when OH got promoted months ago that I can’t wait to crack! It’s just staring at me every time I open the cupboard door Grin.

MrBobLobLaw · 01/11/2019 11:36

Congrats to all the new mamas! Hope you're all settling in well.

No changes for me but I'm only 39+4. DP and I are both too knackered from packing to dtd but might be a good idea.. that's what got DS out last time! We finally exchanged on our new flat yesterday but we're not able to complete until next Friday so who knows if I'll have a baby/be in labour/be overdue.

Can we talk names?! I think we like Rafael best but going to wait to see what he looks like first!

imiss · 01/11/2019 12:36

40+2 here and fed up. Thinking about a acupuncture this afternoon to move things along as evidently the sweep at 40 did nothing Sad anyone tried it? Heard anything good/bad?

greeneyedlulu · 01/11/2019 13:45

I've got 2 bottles of gin mare that my oh got a couple of months ago on offer and bubbly I won at work. All 3 tease me whenever I open the cupboard! Wink

jpclarke · 01/11/2019 14:16

Baby boy born this morning, all good. A bit of a shaky start after the surgery as my body wouldn't stop shaking for ages but all good now.

MrBobLobLaw · 01/11/2019 15:53

Congrats @jpclarke! How're you all feeling now?

MrBobLobLaw · 01/11/2019 15:58

@imiss I had acupuncture twice when I was overdue with DS1, my SIL is an acupuncturist otherwise I probably wouldn't have done it.
Tbh... I don't think it made any difference at all but as an experience it was alright! Not sure how pricey it is though?

Feeling a bit funny now tbh. Back ache just on the right side and cramping too. I'm bouncing on my birth ball and looking after the 2 year old waiting for DP to get back home.. just an hour to go!

Aurora79 · 01/11/2019 16:18

Congratulations @jpclarke, hope you’re feeling less shaky and much better now!

@greeneyedlulu not long until we’ll all be tucking into a g&t or glass of bubbles!

Sweep no.2 done and more successful that the first attempt so fingers crossed it gets things moving. Either way things seem to be moving in the right direction so fingers crossed for a weekend baby!
