Just what it says really - anyone else near the end and would like some company? I'm driving myself crazy over here by myself!

Yep! 39+3 and nothing.. feel like I had more aches and pains a few weeks ago? Confused

Also never experienced braxton hicks so who knows.

Aurora79 · 25/10/2019 09:47

No baby here either, standard Braxton Hicks and generally feeling grim in the night but back to ‘normal’ this morning. Have told bump she has to stay put now u til after the rugby this weekend.......

Good luck today @Pinkflipflop85 fingers crossed you’ll be having lovely newborn cuddles before the day is out!

amehh · 25/10/2019 10:01

Good luck @Pinkflipflop85, not long now!

Feel like I need to keep going to the loo but nothing actually there today but my tummy is gurgling like mad!

Horrendous sleep for me, anyone else with crazy aching legs and hips? Nothing helps! I'm fine all day but as soon as I try and lie down to sleep, I'm horribly uncomfortable :(

@amehh do you have a pregnancy pillow? Probably a bit late to get one now but if not you could maybe get one that doubles as a feeding pillow too? I bought a dream genii at 17 weeks and it’s been amazing, although need a bit more back support now so have been using a pillow behind me too.

That said my hips and lower back are sore at night too, especially when I get up for my many wees, so it might unfortunately just be a late pregnancy thing! Hopefully not too many more sleepless night from back/hip ache anyway, then we’ll be complaining of sleeplessness for a whole new reason!!

imiss · 25/10/2019 10:40

Nothing happening here Sad just ate a pineapple and I've been cleaning but nada. Baby's head was engaged on Monday when I went to the midwife, lost my plug or part of it Tuesday, so was hoping that was meaning it was imminent but not even a twinge so far today!

amehh · 25/10/2019 10:51

@Aurora79 I have a dreamgenii as well and I've kicked it out because it was making it worse! Might get it back out to give it another try though, if I'm awake tossing and turning I may as well try out all my different pillows too Grin the dreamgenii was amazing though up until a couple of weeks ago!

@amehh I ended up in the spare room last night and pretty much made a nest of all the pillows and duvet- was an amazing nights sleep (from 4am when I went downstairs!).

greeneyedlulu · 25/10/2019 11:51

No baby here yet either! Just got my nails done and feeling really tired, just want to nap but have a lot to do around the house in preparation.
Good luck ladies

Shewoman · 25/10/2019 12:01

Still nothing happening here either, didn't sleep well and feel very low on energy today. Have no plans for the weekend as pretty much expected to be looking after the baby by then!

amehh · 25/10/2019 12:37

@Aurora79 I've been in the spare room for a week and it was fab! But MIL is coming to stay from tomorrow for childcare purposes so I thought I'd try back in my bedroom - horrible! I know it'll go as soon as the baby comes, it must just be the pressure of how it is lying but I don't remember this from last time!

DS is off to his grandparents in an hour and no signs of baby coming so looks like I'll be having popcorn and pick n mix for dinner, yum!

At least we are all in the same boat here, just waiting and waiting!

Aurora79 · 25/10/2019 18:35

How’s everyone feeling tonight? Thought my waters might be leaking earlier but Think that was a false alarm so back to the waiting game!

Officially half term here now, so unless I go horrendously overdue (fingers crossed not) that’s the last of my quiet days to myself for 18 years Shock.

greeneyedlulu · 25/10/2019 18:42

I'm stuck on the sofa with twinges going on! Baby is active but it's strange that I always feel more pressure pushing down in the evenings. Sometimes feels like my belly is expanding as though it might pop but then deflates again, it's an odd feeling.

amehh · 25/10/2019 20:24

Just back from the cinema - phew! No real signs but who knows? Baby is very active today and I've not got much of an appetite....and apparently I'm full of toots! Definitely have quite a bit of pressure down below but bump is still high so it's not dropped.

Just hoping to maybe get a good night's sleep tonight. Fingers crossed for some babies thinking of coming soon!

Anyone else never had braxton hicks?
Worried this is a sign of late labour. Sighh.

amehh · 26/10/2019 04:05

@BiscuitLover2391 I don't think I've really had them (and if I have, then they aren't at all what I thought they were!). Don't remember them with DS either.

I'm up with heartburn Confused

40 + 10 today! Absolutely nothing happening here. I'm full of cold though so I think that might be delaying things. No aches, twinges, BH or anything. I've been checking for mucus plug for weeks now, and nothing. Starting to think my body just doesn't know how to do labour. DS was a several day latent labour, delayed by a blocked bladder stopping progression, and eventually waters broken and hormone drip.

I'm counting down the hours until my induction appointment on monday, (53 hours to go) and thanking god that dh isn't working this weekend, hes currently chasing toddler ds around upstairs while I sit with my feet up and relax a bit.

katmarie · 26/10/2019 10:48

@pinkflipflop85 how are you doing?

Aurora79 · 26/10/2019 10:49

@katmarie not long until the induction, so frustrating to just be waiting for something to happen, although at least it sounds like you’re getting a nice rest today before Monday!

39+6 here today, my hopes for an early/punctual child are slowly slipping away! I’ve got my DSS and FIL here but have snuck away upstairs for a rest while everyone is preoccupied with the rugby!

katmarie · 26/10/2019 12:43

Hmmm getting some slight waves of back ache, which was how my labour started last time. (It was another 5 days before ds actually arrived though) Although my back has been aching on and off for the past month it feels like! Am I clutching at straws or is something happening? Gah, who knows?

imiss · 26/10/2019 17:55

Had some cramping and back ache earlier which has now gone. So crap not being able to plan to do anything as I don't know if baby will be here. Lots of fun Halloween and bonfire night stuff is on this evening which DD would have loved, which I haven't bought tickets too as was hopeful I'd be happy being in and cosy with newborn. This limbo phase is awful I'm so bored of being heavily pregnant and just waiting. It's horrible outside I should feel cosy and content but I'm climbing the walls where I have been off from work for 3 weeks and constantly taking it easy in case labour kick starts for it not to. I've been having endless tea round family and friends houses, toddler groups and walks and I'm stir crazy bored.

I want wine and gin, I want to go for a run, I want to paint my toenails, I want multiple espresso's and to sleep on my stomach. I want to be able to get up from the floor without using my hands or having help.

What's everyone else looking forward to?

Aurora79 · 26/10/2019 18:20

@imiss yes to the wine and gin, and to the running! And am totally craving pate and really squishy Brie!

Just generally can’t wait to feel like myself again! I know obviously life will change with a newborn but running was always the one thing I did just for me, and was my time to mentally switch off so I was gutted when I had to stop at 16 weeks because it was too uncomfortable. I can’t wait to get my trainers back on and get out there with the pram!

greeneyedlulu · 26/10/2019 18:20

@imiss - not having indigestion every 5 minutes, a g and t wouldn't go a miss right now either Grin

amehh · 26/10/2019 18:56

@imiss @Aurora79 @greeneyedlulu I'm feeling the same! Running particularly was a passion of mine (not that I was great at it!) But I had to stop at 22 weeks and walking just hasn't been the same. And a gin sounds amazing!

I went for a long walk today and have been in loads of pain since in my pelvis. Been having cramps as well but they stopped and just been out for dinner and eaten some chillies. Really really hope it happens soon because I'm so uncomfortable it's unreal and I'm just miserable if I'm honest. I want my body back and a baby to cuddle!

I'm only 39+3 today so all you ladies over 40 weeks are amazing!

Nothing happening here at all....I’m resigned to being in it for the long haul now.

Shewoman · 26/10/2019 23:19

Have been home all day as it was so wet and miserable outside just couldn't face going out. Most looking forward to being able to wear more clothes as everything is uncomfortable now, am living in the same couple of pairs of leggings and jumpers.
