Hooray! A Baby Fettle! Wonderful, wonderful news! Welcome little Toby!

Now we are just waiting to hear from Mump aren't we?

Mrsmc, I don't think I realised before that you still couldn't relax, and that your pregnancy would always be a little tainted by your worries

Missworry, I got mine from ebay. It's an Angelsounds one and cost about £33 including the postage, and it arrived the next day!

ejt, nice to hear about your musical baby!

ejt1764 · 20/09/2007 12:02

CONGRATULATIONS FETTLE, MR FETTLE & CROESO TOBY!

Thanks to bouncing turtle and Ellie for email addresses - I have emailed you both. I just know that if I asked dh to do a birth announcement thread, he'd forget!

Ellie - the choir is based in Cardiff (it's the Blues supporters choir, set up for an S4C tv show last year - and we carried on - and they've just started filming the second series! We'll be going to Llandudno to compete in a competition ... well, they'll be going, I'll be attached to a baby pretty permanently at that stage, so won't be able to go! but !
If you want to find a choir, then there's a good resource here or, if you google "choir" plus your region, then you should find some leads!
It's been brilliant for me - I joined last year, and it was my target to be well enough to join after I'd had the saga following my 2nd MC, and I also persuaded my dad and sister to come with me: my dad has since taken up singing in another choir as well ... my sister took part in the last series, but hasn't been able to go back this time because of work commitments.
It helped me both to come to terms with the horror that was last year, and to overcome the hyperemesis - I found singing stopped me being sick!

This was meant to be a short post - can't remember what I needed to say to everybody else ... so I'll just wave madly and toddle off to do some sewing!

Well Done Fettle

Congratulations to you and Mr Fettle, and a big MN welcome to Toby.

Can't wait to see the pics

Bouncingturtle · 20/09/2007 12:15

Congrats Fettles and Toby!! Thanks to Fettle's Dh for sharing his wonderful news.
EJT - no worries - will email you tonight
Been to see MW - I'm 26+4 weeks and I'm measuring about 30 weeks! Turtle might just undergoing a growth spurt.
Not unduly concerned - my friend was measuring 4 weeks ahead, and her lo was born only a week early at 8lb2oz, not huge at all!

my1stbaby · 20/09/2007 12:19

Many congratulation to the Fettles and Toby!!! Looking forward to lovely piccies. Well done!!

spugs · 20/09/2007 12:28

bloomin mother getting on my nerves, ive been doing supply at her school and ive turned a day down as i have my scan. she cant understand why i just dont bother with the scan and wait till my 20 wk one she thinks that as ive had one privatly then i dont need one, prob is they couldnt date it. Mothers hey im sure ill annoy mine just as much when there older

MrsMcJnr · 20/09/2007 12:59

Hey ladies

Spugs oh the joy of elasticated waist bands, you?ll love them I?m with you on Mothers!!

My1stbaby ? sorry to hear you are feeling so rotten, hopefully you?ll turn the corner soon. I didn?t really feel anything until 20 weeks, I like to think I did but I don?t think I did really. Good luck with the appointment next week.

Missworry ? sorry that your GP would help you but that?s great that your appointment with the obstertrician is next week and you?ll get a scan then, that?s a real milestone to cling to. There is no magic time when it all feels fine and the fear leaves but every milestone makes you that bit safer

Ejt ? sounds like you had a good time last night! Ohhh bet you got excited when the contractions started, sorry they eased off though, you must be shattered today. I would volunteer to be your point of contact but I go on hold next Friday so will be inncomunicado for a week!

Hey Bouncing sounds like Turtle is doing really well!

EllieG

Beckle ? 26 weeks glad to hear last night was better!

Feedmenow ? I?m ok hon, to be honest, I do just enjoy the experience and only remember sometimes that I am at higher risk than I should be

Mumpbump is quiet.....

EllieG · 20/09/2007 13:30

Yey for fettle and toby and Mr Fettle! Fantastic news!

goingfor3 · 20/09/2007 13:38

Congratualtions to fettle!

I went to the gp today and didn't my pregnancy booking in. He's going to write a ltter straight to the gynae dr who put my stitch in a looked after me during my mc. He is winding down his practice and doesn't do obstretrics anymore but agreed to over look my care when I next got pregnant. He told me wait wait three months before ttc so I feel at being pregnant again so soon but the gp said these things happen.

goingfor3 · 20/09/2007 13:39

did my pregnany booking in!

feedmenow · 20/09/2007 13:46

Thats good Going. Will probably be reassuring for you to be referred?

goingfor3 · 20/09/2007 13:50

Being refered to the same dr who looked after me will make me feel more secure in the pregnancy, I'm just hoping I won't have to wait to long to see him. I do have a follow up to see him in November but not until the end of the month so hopefully he will see me within the next 6 weeks to arrage to have my cervix stitched again though he did mention possibly just having scans instead so we'll see what he decides.

MrsMcJnr · 20/09/2007 14:17

That's great news Goingfor3 - it will be lovely and reassuring to have him on side

goingfor3 · 20/09/2007 14:53

MrsMcJnr - I read that you have clotting issues but see that you are being closley monitored. One of my friends delveloped a blood clot in her placenta during her first pregnancy and has a healthy little boy though he was small. In her second she was monitored very closely and didn't develop any complications, her second baby was about twice the size of the first. It's lucky that you know there maybe complications as I'm sure you are being very well looked after to ensure any problems are picked up quickly. Good luck.

EllieG · 20/09/2007 14:55

goingfor3 - I have probably missed something, and do forgive me for being lazy if you have already said so, but why might you need a stich?

Glimmer · 20/09/2007 15:07

FETTLE, MINIFETTLE,MR FETTLE and MEDIUMFETTLE

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

What a pretty name! I hope you are well and will recover fast! Was thinking of you all day!

Wave to everybody else.

gingercat12 · 20/09/2007 16:08

MrsMcJnr Yes, sorry I added myself to the list, but I instantly forgot to say it. Not entirely surprising. This is why I mainly read, but do not write recently. Pregnancy brain. I have a lovely bump though, so it is all worth it in the end!

The main thing is congratulations to Fettle family!!!

Good luck Mumpy!

goingfor3 · 20/09/2007 17:16

EllieG - the first time I was pregnant I miscarried at 20 weeks, the baby was alive when he was born so the dr's thought it was probably due to an incompetent cervix.

EllieG · 20/09/2007 18:34

How heartbreaking for you. Hope I didn't upset you by asking. I hope the stitch does the trick this time goingfor3 x

goingfor3 · 20/09/2007 18:36

EllieG I don't mind you asking at all. How many weeks are you about 12?

EllieG · 20/09/2007 18:45

Not yet unfortunately. Am 10+2 today - had scan last week and was all fine, but the relaxed feeling lasted for about 3 days before I started worrying again...hey ho. My boobs are less hurty today so that's what my doctor brother in law calls the 'Pregnancy worry of the day'. I know that hormone levels go up and down though so am trying to chill out.

goingfor3 · 20/09/2007 18:47

Oh EllieG, hopefully you will be able to relax soon. I poke my boobs continuously during pregnancy to make sure they still hurt and of course they do because I keep poking!! What happened in your previous pregnacy to make you so worried if you don't mind?

EllieG · 20/09/2007 18:56

Nothing really in comparison to what some people have been through, which probably makes me very wussy but I still worry. I didn't have many symptoms, (as this time) and they died down towards 12 weeks, I thought because that's just what happens, but when I went to the scan it was because the baby had died 4 weeks-ish earlier. So I poke and prod myself and analyse every symptom now and generally get myself all worried over what is probably nothing. But might not be, IYSWIM.
This getting a baby lark is not as easy as they tell you is it? When I was a teenager I thought if you went near a fella without protection you got up the duff.

spugs · 20/09/2007 19:15

i remember thinking that as well ellie
my symptoms started tailing off from about 9 weeks and all was fine at my scan (though nips a bit sore and sciatica a bit off a git!) so if they do wear off try not to worry too much, 2nd trimester is sometimes fairly hassle free

ive even started looking a prams mamas and papas have brought out a really nice new one and im thinking about paying off the balance over the next 5/6 mths

hotchoc · 20/09/2007 19:31

congratulations on the safe arrival of Toby to Family Fettle.

been behind with you all lately, work, family and all.

i am still lurking though!

love to everyone
