Hi all, thought it'd be nice for us first time mums to have our own thread! How're we all finding pregnancy? I didn't expect it to be this hard tbh! I'm 11+5 and have my 12 week scan on Thursday, both terrified and excited for it!!

StephRae · 22/09/2019 18:23

AmeliaE · 22/09/2019 18:25

emmab96 · 22/09/2019 19:13

First for me also currently 15+1 weeks got a private sex scan booked this Saturday super excited to find out what I'm having! How's everyone's pregnancy been so far?

latkins70 · 22/09/2019 19:17

NewMama2Be · 22/09/2019 19:17

First time for me too! I'm 39+1 today and still feel that mix of terror and excitement @uor24 🤦‍♀️

shastamn · 22/09/2019 19:21

Me too, first time mama! 39+3 so any day now... at least I'm hoping! Ready to meet baby now - I'm getting very impatient!

Mum2b2020 · 22/09/2019 19:32

Hi uor24 we must be due around the same time. I'm 11+1 today. I have my 12 week scan on thursday. Thankfully I've had some scans already which show a heartbeat but I'm still nervous about the test results at 12 weeks.
How have you been feeling so far?

NewMama2Be · 22/09/2019 19:32

I know that feeling @shastamn !!
I keep wishing for things to happen and then panicking that I'm not ready, cant do this etc 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️
It's the most exciting yet scary thing ever!

mummabear18 · 22/09/2019 19:45

First for us too! ... Currently 25+3, due Jan 2nd - a little boy Glitterball

Pregnancy has been great so far; luckily no morning sickness here and backache is just starting now, but I can't believe how quickly the weeks are going! He'll be with us before we know it

amyyy333 · 22/09/2019 20:18

I might a first time mum too, currently 18+2 . Is anyone else constantly worrying about how the baby is. I found out I’m having a little girl and just want the time to pass so I know she’s okay

abbs1 · 22/09/2019 20:24

First time mum after early miscarriage in Summer.
Been a real struggle since week 5 with severe hyperemesis and in and out of hospital every week but hoping it all settles soon. 12+3 weeks. Had my scan and so reassuring to see the baby is doing great even though I'm so poorly. Cant wait for the sickness to subside so I can start enjoying my pregnancy and to find out what I'm having mid November.

HopefulHun · 22/09/2019 20:27

I'm a first time too, I'm only a few weeks though so really early for me.

I'm so excited & feeling like the next 8/9 months are going to take forever!

It's so surreal when I remember I'm actually pregnant.

@amyyy333 I'm also feeling like I want time to pass so I know everything's okay.. guess that feeling doesn't really go away then..?

Soda123x · 22/09/2019 20:35

Hi all, I'm a 1st time mum too. 17+2 today. Had a 11 week scan and 13 week scan. Also heard babies heartbeat at 16+5 midwife appt. It was so loud and strong. I've had a really good pregnancy so far. No sickness but extremely tired and napping alot. Cant wait to start feeling baby move but midwife has said as 1st can be anything upto 24+ weeks before I feel anything xx

shastamn · 22/09/2019 20:42

@NewMama2Be I keep telling myself we will never feel fully ready! I'm just so desperate to meet him/her now :)) also can't wait to be able to sleep on my stomach again lol

uor24 · 22/09/2019 21:35

@Mum2b2020 I'm feeling ok, I have days we're in super sick all day and exhausted and having really bad mood swings! And yesterday I cried for an hour cause OH wanted to go out and I didn't 😂 but having a lot more good days now. I'm due 7th April, feels like a lifetime away! We had a scan at 7 and 10 weeks and everything looked perfect at both... still feeling anxious for the 12 week scan though!

First time mum here! 27 weeks with a baby boy 💙

Newmumatlast · 23/09/2019 01:03

First time for me and I'm 37+3. Pregnancy has been really good for me tbh but I have been I'll with a bug/flu for 2 weeks so that's ruined the end a bit tbh

crazymuseummumtobe · 23/09/2019 08:14

First timer here - 22+4 with a little surprise! We're moving house in three weeks, so my main fears are currently about all our stuff fitting in the new house (more rooms but smaller rooms), and coping with pregnancy bladder with only a downstairs loo (victorian terrace house). I'm also generally terrified about not knowing what to do when baby comes. Anyone else feeling like this?

shastamn · 23/09/2019 08:53

@crazymuseummumtobe I'm the same!! The antenatal classes are all about preparing you for labour and a bit about caring for yourself post labour... but no one actually tells you how to keep these tiny humans alive! That's what I'm worried about... I've never been around babies so really don't know what I'm doing. Hoping mothers instinct kicks in...

Babycakes1989 · 23/09/2019 10:33

First time mum with a little boy. I’m 40 weeks and 1 day and can’t wait to meet him!! 💙 I’m very relaxed and will take it in my stride but I am getting very tired now and achey! Xx

Peachy95 · 23/09/2019 10:41

First time mum also, 19 weeks today having a baby girl 💖 I have been fairly relaxed and of course excited about meeting her but recently became very anxious about such silly things 🙈 at least the sick stage has passed but what is this pregnancy glow everyone speaks of?? I look like crap 😂

HopefulHun · 23/09/2019 11:09

@crazymuseummumtobe I'm really early in my pregnancy so hadn't had that panic yet but now I'm thinking... I'm gonna be responsible for a little human ARGHHH are we crazy?😋

sophr72 · 23/09/2019 11:32

First time here too. 10+6. Scan booked for a week Thursday. We had a private scan at eight weeks, but I want to see that everything is ok so badly.

I've had nausea and exhaustion since about 5 weeks. Today I've taken the day off, as I just feel awful!

Getting myself ready for the second trimester and praying that I start to feel better as everyone keeps saying I will.

MummyBear405 · 23/09/2019 11:39

@uor24 thanks for starting this thread and congrats! I'm a first timer too and totally agree about pregnancy being really hard. Why doesn't anyone warn you??

@crazymuseummumtobe I'm 21+6 so we're probably due around the same time! My DH is a bit worried about what we actually do when she arrives but I've seen a few of my friends go through it and as long as you feed them, clean them and cuddle them they're pretty happy. It's when they can walk & talk that it gets difficult! Wink

@Peachy95 My husband says I glow but I definitely don't feel like it! I'm still malting everywhere, the acne has not subsided since week 9 and my nails aren't growing any better than before ... where's the pregnancy glow damn it!!
