Am starting to believe the little pops I've been feeling since 10 weeks are movements. I know you're not supposed to feel them so early. I don't feel them every day, but had another this morning. Last time they started at 15 weeks wuth an anterior. This time I have a posterior. When have you all started feeling movements?

FirstTimeMama91 · 08/09/2019 09:53

Thanks for the link @rubyroot

fnej01 · 08/09/2019 10:14

@FirstTimeMama91 I did the vaporub on my feet before bed when I had a cold, and found it did help.

FirstTimeMama91 · 08/09/2019 10:20

@fnej01 yep I think it helps too. Don't want to take paracetamol Sad I've my first scan on Friday and I'm just panicking. So trying not to take paracetamol even though I know it's allowed

fnej01 · 08/09/2019 10:30

@FirstTimeMama91 I did take 2 paracetamol one night just to help me sleep. Do you have a temperature if you do you should take paracetamol rather than let it get too high. Hope you feel better soon x

Bluebelltulip · 08/09/2019 10:31

@rubyroot first pregnancy I felt them at 14 weeks even though I had an anterior placenta, second wasn't and felt them before 12 weeks but thought I must be mad but it was confirmed at 12 week scan. This time I felt them about 14 weeks again but this one is also anterior.

FirstTimeMama91 · 08/09/2019 10:33

@fnej01 once I get past this scan I'll be a bit more relaxed. No I've no temp just runny nose, sneezing and feeling crappy. Thanks x

fnej01 · 08/09/2019 10:35

@FirstTimeMama91 good luck for the scan. I did find the cold suppressed a lot of my pregnancy symptoms, and I freaked out about it, but everything was fine and symptoms returned once cold disappeared. X

FirstTimeMama91 · 08/09/2019 10:40

@fnej01 thank you. I'm still getting symptoms - waves of feeling queasy and sore boobs mostly. Roll on Friday! X

rubyroot · 08/09/2019 11:55

Thanks @Bluebelltulip possibly movements then!
I've had about 12 doses of paracetamol this pregnancy so far. I've had an awful headache for 3 1/2 weeks that doesn't go away. No idea what it is and starting to get very worried. Going to doctors Again this week.

tinatsarina · 08/09/2019 11:58

@rubyroot I've felt movements with this one from 9/10 weeks pops at the start now it's big swooshing movements and if I lie as still as I can I can just see my skin lift where they push up

sadtoday21 · 08/09/2019 13:18

Wow @Bluebelltulip movements at 14 weeks with your first pregnancy? I thought they didn't start until 16 at the earliest with the first one. I'm 13+2 today and really anxious to feel her start moving! What does it feel like at first? How did you distinguish it from tummy issues?

@Ginmonkey84 did you get your results yet?

@strawberrye how are you doing? Are you also waiting for results? Thinking of you xxx.

@fnej01 hope you are well and not feeling too anxious! How many weeks are you now?

Bluebelltulip · 08/09/2019 14:03

@sadtoday21 I was surprised too as I wasn't expecting it, kind of felt like popping and was distinct, to start with I thought 'could it be' then as time went on I was sure. It can vary so much when different people feel it and from baby to baby too.

coconutlatte44 · 08/09/2019 15:47

@rubyroot just looked back and I started feeling the popping sensations just before 17 weeks and this is my first. If you felt them at 15 weeks previously I don't think it's crazy to imagine that this time around it could be earlier!

I wasn't sure whether or not mine were movements so I checked with sonographer last week and showed her where I was feeling them, and she said that seems to be baby's favourite place to keep his feet/knees so it makes sense for them to be mostly on that side. :)

Avocuddles · 08/09/2019 16:03

Afternoon ladies.
So unfortunately looks like I might be going through miscarriage number two. After my scan measured behind on Wednesday I had resigned myself to things not working out, and this afternoon it looks like my fears were correct as I've had some bleeding when I wipe, though seems to have pretty much stopped for now. I feel pretty certain that this pregnancy is over, I'm at the exact same stage as last time (between 7 and 8 weeks) so just wish I knew why my body can't grow babies beyond this point Sad last time round the miscarriage happened naturally a few days after the initial bleeding, but I'm hoping that if this what it looks like that it happens sooner rather than later. Figure there's no point in calling the EPU as I already have an appointment on Wednesday, and there's nothing they can do to fix heartbreak.....

Mistymeow · 08/09/2019 16:20

@Avocuddles oh no, I’m sorry to hear that. What sort of bleeding, brown or red? Any cramping? I know measuring a week behind is worrying, I was the same in my previous pregnancy and it didn’t work out, but I also didn’t have many symptoms and most of the stories I read online the babies caught up. It could still work out but I don’t want to give you any false hope- we all know what this feels like. What I would say is to call EPU first thing Monday and have the scan brought forward to tomorrow if you can. It may be better to know what’s going on sooner, particularly if you don’t have further bleeding. Sorry you are going through this Flowers

Squiff70 · 08/09/2019 16:29

Oh @Avocuddles I'm so sorry you're going through this. Like @Mistymeow said, we don't want to give you false hope and the fact that you FEEL this is a miscarriage makes me wonder, however lot of people bleed early in pregnancy and go on to have healthy babies. I will continue to hope and pray you're one of them. Please take really good care of yourself and feel free to post as/when you feel you want to.

@Navy123 My dog is okay for now, thank you for asking - he sleeps most of the time but wanders about in the evening following me round. His eyes are a mess and he's quite weary but he still has a bit longer left in him, I think. That could change in the space of five minutes though.

Catconfusion · 08/09/2019 16:32

I’m so sorry @Avocuddles but it could still be alright. Lots of ladies have spotting. I agree with @mistymeow to get the scan brought forwards to save any extra time worrying. In the meantime try and relax, I know that’s hard. Fingers crossed its nothing to worry about! Is there anything that could have triggered it? I had a cervical bleed after dtd during my first pregnancy. A scan showed mmc but the bleed was unrelated and irritation from the sex. I hope you’re ok! Xx

rubyroot · 08/09/2019 16:33

@avocuddles.. Sorry to hear you have had some bleeding. I also think it would be a good idea to bring the scan forward. You just don't know what could be happening yet. I also don't want to give you false hope, as I know it doesn't help at all. Sending you my thoughts x

rubyroot · 08/09/2019 16:34

I know when I started bleeding (1st miscarriage) on the weekend I went into walk in doctors in hospital and they were able to get me a scan first thing on Monday morning.

Bluebelltulip · 08/09/2019 16:37

@Avocuddles sorry to see that you are bleeding, I also think ringing the epu tomorrow is a good idea to see what they say.

I'm feeling shattered today, got home from holiday late last night then didn't sleep well and kept having bad dreams. I've got the heart scan on Wednesday and I'm terrified of getting bad news again.

Avocuddles · 08/09/2019 16:42

TRIGGER WARNING...potential mc details Sad

Thanks @Squiff70 and @Mistymeow. I'll ring the EPU first thing tomorrow and see if there's any chance of bringing the scan forward. I'm still hoping and praying that it's not another MC but unfortunately it seems very similar to the bleeding I had a couple of days before I lost baby number one.
No cramping or pain at all at the moment, the bleeding was pale red / pink and mucusy, a couple of wipes worth but no clots at all yet.
Assuming this is what it looks like I know that I won't be able to get an RMC referral as it's 'only' number 2, but if anyone has any advice on what has worked for them it would be good to hear it. I'm already on clexane and aspirin. I have my fertility clinic referral letter sat by the front door so guess it might be worth getting that ball rolling again - I was lucky to fall pregnant only 2 months after my loss, but this journey has been going on for a year and a half now and it feels as if its destroying me at the moment.

Apologies for the rant, appreciate this might not be the ideal place to have it but I'm stuck in limbo at the moment. Thanks for all of your support x

Avocuddles · 08/09/2019 16:43

Called the out of hours number and they said to ring at 9 tomorrow. Will let you know how I get on.

Squiff70 · 08/09/2019 16:49

I'm sure they'll see you tomorrow @Avocuddles Flowers

Mistymeow · 08/09/2019 17:07

@Avocuddles that’s good it’s looking like they will see you tomorrow. I was seen by the rmc after 2 mmc due to having infertility on dh’s side and my age (35). They wanted to investigate before ivf. But I’d say see what’s going on first, it might still be ok. No need to think about it right now, rest up. Let us know how you get on, will be thinking of you.
