Oh and we didn't find out the sex with our 3 but DH has always wanted to, so I have agreed that as this is definitely our last we can find out this time. Personally I like the surprise, helps me get through labour!

Yvonne1988 · 21/08/2019 08:06

@threegreensheep I'm on my 2nd 9 weeks and my need for maternity leggings is growing daily. I can't wear mine over and it's uncomfortable to wear them under. I'll be stealing my boyfriend's t-shirts soon mine don't hide it anymore

Daughter back at school today. Good timing I had a headache all night for some reason so when my shipping gets delivered I can have a guilt free lie down!

Dinosauraddict · 21/08/2019 08:13

Welcome @potatoesofdefiance !

And we are definitely finding out - have a private scan booked for 16 weeks!

threegreensheep · 21/08/2019 08:17

@Yvonne1988 oh I've just pulled maternity jeans on - SO much better. Bliss. Don't know how ill hide it for another 2 weeks 🙈

Sarah873 · 21/08/2019 08:21

We are def finding out! Mostly because we like to know as much as possible about the new arrival and that last time around we only had one boys name we liked... which we used for ds1, so we need as much time as possible to find another if it's a boy!

Yvonne1988 · 21/08/2019 08:22

@threegreensheep I don't have any maternity stuff. When I had my first 9 years ago they had sections in the shops but now they don't seem to I'd rather see what they were like before buying.

Yvonne1988 · 21/08/2019 08:23

I want another girl 💖 I'm 1 of 4 sisters. Always wanted a girl first time round and got lucky. I have a stepson who is 15 and he has put me even more off having boys!

ttc19 · 21/08/2019 08:41

@threegreensheep I haven't had a scan yet. I'm 10+4. I've had my booking in appointment and am impatiently awaiting my scan date to come through the post x

Jesskir89 · 21/08/2019 08:50

Morning girls. Congrats on the scan @MockingJay27 and welcome @potatoesofdefiance :) my dh doesn't want to know the sex but I do as I want to buy things that aren't lemon.... lol

ELW85 · 21/08/2019 09:25

@DaniX91 - you’re welcome! I think reassurance is totally needed through this stage; it’s such a scary time. But I got those stats from the miscarriage .org website so they’re fairly robust.

@MockingJay27 - congrats, pleased the scan went well for you, it’s such a relief isn’t it?

Absolutely exhausted today ladies! How is everyone else getting on?

Keyboard91 · 21/08/2019 09:48

@ineedanotherholiday @MockingJay27 @SLT90 @MunchyMunchkin @barnyb thank you all for your kind words. I didn’t feel quite as awful last night or this morning, it’s manageable again, so that has definitely helped. It does make you ready though! DF didn’t know what to do for the best as just him touching my skin in bed made me feel worse! But back to ‘normal’ nausea and aversions so we have plans in place for that. 🤞

Re the bras conversation- I’ve been in non-wired bras since 4/5 weeks as mine became fuller and wires were uncomfortable. I got 2 maternity from M&S in my usual size and found them okay. I had to buy another 2 after about 4 weeks in the next band and cup size up and they fit nicely with a bit of room too so hopefully will last a little while. I have E cups so a bra with structure is essential! I’ve found that if I wear a stretchy almost sports top type bra to bed it massively reduces my boob pain day and night.

We plan to find out if it’s a boy or girl - mainly so we can decide on a name. And also so we can buy pink or blue clothes and decorate the nursery in a non-neutral colour.

Lovely scans everyone. I’ve got a private one tomorrow when I’ll hopefully be 9 weeks so will see what’s going on in there. Quite nervous about it. Double nerves as it’s also GCSE results day tomorrow too 🙈

@avocadoincident We're finding out the sex - mainly because my DH is very Impatient. I didn't find out with my first but looking around I'm finding it very difficult to find anything neutral.

Getting impatient for mine now - its only Friday but feel like it the final hurdle to being sure I'm having a baby - I'm not sure i've quite let it sink in yet. It certainly can't come quick enough

SLT90 · 21/08/2019 10:56

@threegreensheep
You aren't the only one! My first scan is also in 2 weeks and I've had no reason/scary symptoms yet to need to book a private scan. Hoping there is a baby in there!

dream109 · 21/08/2019 10:57

@Ninjamomma I feel the same about my scan. I didn't have an early one. I've got my 12 week one on Tuesday. I'm really impatient to make sure everything is okay so I can fully accept it's happening lol.

avocadoincident · 21/08/2019 11:02

So far:
9 finding out the sex
3 not finding out
1 undecided

ELW85 · 21/08/2019 11:41

@avocadoincident - I’m definitely finding out the sex. Too impatient not too 😂

Jesskir89 · 21/08/2019 12:58

It would be a nice surprise to not know but I just don't like lemon lol

SLT90 · 21/08/2019 13:05

I'm not planning on buying many clothes before baby arrives so hopefully should avoid the lemon! 🍋🍋🍋 There are some lovely colourful 'gender neutral' baby grows in the likes of Next with animals or patterns and theres always white/grey too.
All our bigger purchases will be kept for future babies anyway (and also used by both DH and I) so prams and changing bags etc will probably need to be navy/grey to be practical/unisex.

Naylor19 · 21/08/2019 13:23

Hey guys thought I'd pop in and have a little catch up whilst away! (Can't help myself) still feeling rotten in Milan, been sick most days but DH is great we've just been doing little bits and coming back to hotel for day naps. We're defo finding out sex! DH wants a boy first I'd like a girl! We've booked for another reassurance scan on Saturday after we get back from Milan just because my next one isn't until September 20th! I knew I'd be one of those crazy ladies who have to be scanned constantly! Luckily DH doesn't mind Smile x

threegreensheep · 21/08/2019 14:05

@ttc19 oh glad I'm not the only one! I'm 10+2 so similar.

Keyboard91 · 21/08/2019 14:08

MEN - that’s all I’m going to say 🙄🙄🙄🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🙄🙄🙄

Jesskir89 · 21/08/2019 14:37

@Naylor19 sorry you're still feeling crap how's Milan? @keyboard91 everything ok?

Naylor19 · 21/08/2019 15:00

@Jesskir89 it's very hot! I feel like I'm not taking it in as much as I usually would due to feeling so poorly all the time! Is it bad that I'll actually be glad when we're home?! Blush x

Dinosauraddict · 21/08/2019 17:00

After a nightmare of a day, I've just had another reassurance scan. Signed off work for the rest of the week (which doesn't please me) but baby is ok. Scan was amazing, saw them waving their arm about, and having hiccups!!

Jesskir89 · 21/08/2019 17:29

@Dinosauraddict how come they signed you off? Are you ok?
