@Jesskir89 - anaemia getting worse, dehydrated, really bad tummy cramps, not ideal but not really helped by the fact that I haven't been eating/drinking.

MunchyMunchkin · 21/08/2019 18:28

@avocadoincident we are finding out this time. Need to prepare DD and sort out the giant pile of clothes.

Yvonne1988 · 21/08/2019 19:06

Feeling sorry for myself tonight. It's usually time for my partner to come home but he can't this weekend and I hate him being away. Iv had a headache since last night. I finally gave in and took 1 paracetamol.. they don't usually work with me but it's the only thing I can take.

ttc19 · 21/08/2019 19:14

@Yvonne1988 Have you tried the 4head stick for headaches? I was really impressed as paracetamol wasn't helping me either x

Yvonne1988 · 21/08/2019 19:15

@ttc19 never tried that. If it's not gone tomorrow I'll have a look for it. I usually take ibuprofen that works for me

Jesskir89 · 21/08/2019 20:15

@Dinosauraddict hope you're better soon hopefully a couple of rest days will help. @yvonne1988 are you drinking plenty?

Yvonne1988 · 21/08/2019 20:19

@jesskir89 yeh I'm drinking loads.

Jesskir89 · 21/08/2019 20:57

@Yvonne1988 get plenty of rest

Yvonne1988 · 21/08/2019 21:17

@jesskir89 if I rested anymore today I'd turn into the sofa lol
The paracetamol worked so hopefully that's it.
It was right at the back of my head so I think that's a tension headache but I haven't been stressed or anything.

Frillyfarmer · 22/08/2019 06:54

I had my scan yesterday and my EDD is now 28th Feb, 12+6 today and a very wriggly little baby!

Its all feeling very real now I've reached this milestone! I think we are going to find out this time, probably book another scan at 16 weeks.

Wow what a lovely scan @Frillyfarmer 😊
We will also find out the sex when we can (is it the 20 week scan?). We like to have all the information and don't like surprises!!

MunchyMunchkin · 22/08/2019 07:31

Lovely scan @Frillyfarmer

@satsumasaturday they can tell you at the 20 weeks can but I know some nhs trusts won’t do don’t count on it.
Otherwise you can pay for a private gender scan from 16 weeks.

SLT90 · 22/08/2019 07:32

10 weeks today 😊 something exciting about getting to double figures!

Jesskir89 · 22/08/2019 07:49

@SLT90 snap! :) @Frillyfarmer congrats on a lovely healthy pic :)

oksim · 22/08/2019 07:57

I don't want to find out, but the hubby does. As I've been miserable to be around the past 6 weeks with vomiting I think I'll give him the win on this!
Scan next Wednesday, can't wait to see what it looks like in there, but seriously looking forward to the day this sickness buggers off! Xx

Keyboard91 · 22/08/2019 08:11

So today is a double whammy for nerves.

1 - private scan at 10:30. Hopefully JellyBean is still okay and measuring around the 9 weeks we are expecting. Saw heartbeat at 7 weeks (measuring 6+6) but I keep reading of MMC where babies have stopped growing at 8 weeks so in a panic.

2 - GCSE results day but my students have done well, really proud of them! So that anxiety has now gone, at least. Wasn’t frantically logging in at 6:30 or anything 🙄

ELW85 · 22/08/2019 08:39

@Frillyfarmer - great pic, congratulations!

@Keyboard91 - I know it’s hard, but try to relax. I felt the same before my second reassurance scan, but you will be fine :) and the risk is so significantly reduced post-heartbeat.
Everything I’ve read on MMC is where the heartbeat wasn’t ever detected.

Ninjamomma · 22/08/2019 08:41

@Dinosauraddict pleased everything is OK but sorry to hear you feel so awful, fingers crossed things start to look up for you.

@Frillyfarmer Lovely photo and too right, start enjoying it now.

@Keyboard91 Good luck today and congrats on the results

Panic has settled in today. 12 week scan tomorrow and I should be exactly 12 weeks. I was scanned at 10+5 as I felt like my symptoms were fading and everything was ok. Symptoms came back with a vengeance and now completely disappeared.

Ginandtonic31 · 22/08/2019 08:45

@Ninjamomma I have no symptoms at all! I'm 11 weeks and have a scan today as I've been bleeding and although I know I'm probably ok a part of me is convinced the baby has stopped growing since my last scan at 8 weeks!

Naylor19 · 22/08/2019 08:45

@Keyboard91 hope the scan goes ok, I'm sure it will :) You're not the only one worrying, even though I saw a heartbeat last scan and was 7+4 I still can't wait for my reassurance scan Saturday when I'll be 9 weeks! I've had horrible symptoms so I'm taking peace from that but I'll be glad when I've been checked and know little ones still doing ok! X

Yvonne1988 · 22/08/2019 08:53

Aw my 12 week scan isn't until the 16th! And I can't seem to allow myself to get excited incase it stopped growing! Had my early scan at 7.5 and saw a heartbeat but that's not enough lol

Booking appt tomorrow morning finally I'll be 9+6

thankful16 · 22/08/2019 09:35

Hi girls,

I posted once on the #2 thread and am just now catching up with this one.

I have my 12 week scan this afternoon - though I'm actually only 11 weeks today according to my last private scan. Like a few others have mentioned today, I'm a bit nervous about things. Excited that the day is finally here but can't help myself thinking morbid thoughts like the baby might have died :-( I got a private scan at 8 weeks and 4 days and saw a heartbeat so mainly trying to stay positive. Will feel a whole lot better once I actually see the baby on the screen and know everything is okay.

I've been feeling a lot better the last couple of weeks symptom wise. I still feel sick most days and gag / dry heave at something at least once a day - usually more - but it isn't as bad as I felt a few weeks ago and I'm able to eat more normally now and enjoy my food. I think this has also made me worry a bit because I have been feeling good but I know from reading others posts that sometimes people just don't have many symptoms and it's fine.

Ninjamomma · 22/08/2019 09:40

@Ginandtonic31 I have my fingers crossed for you - the not knowing is awful isn't it. What time is your scan?

@Thankful16 Aw bet you are looking forward to it but I understand your anxiety too. By the sounds of it a lot of us have found our symptoms have tailed off after the 10ish week mark so that is keeping me positive.

Jesskir89 · 22/08/2019 10:12

Good luck for scans today girls and please don't be morbid lol I'm sure everyone is fine. Just got really depressed catching up on today's posts Confused send some pics later :)

barnyb · 22/08/2019 10:15
