Aarrghh I'm so annoyed ladies!! I just picked up a voicemail from the hospital to say they've rearranged my scan which was supposed to be this Tuesday. It's now not until Monday 2nd which seems like a lifetime away!! I'm so cross 😡

thankful16 · 22/08/2019 16:54

I'm happy to say, after my worrying this morning, my scan went well this afternoon Smile Looking to be about 11 weeks and 1 which is just a bit early for them to date me and take measurements I've got another scan in 2 weeks when I'll be about 13 weeks. Not complaining as it means I get to see the baby again and I'm just so happy everything is okay. I'm so excited now.

@thankful16 great pic I knew everyone would be ok were a bunch of panicers aren't we lol. Looks like baby is waving to you:) @satsumasaturday that is frustrating how far will you be then?

satsumasaturday · 22/08/2019 17:10

Lovely pic @thankful16

@Jesskir89 I think I'll be 13 weeks then, so not too late for the tests but I've been counting down the days till Tuesday so I'm super disappointed

barnyb · 22/08/2019 17:20

@thankful16 🙂🙃🙂🙃🙂🙃🙂 lovely. Xx

barnyb · 22/08/2019 17:21

@AlphaLemon 🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍😍

Keyboard91 · 22/08/2019 17:50

Some beautiful scans ladies 😍😍😍

@satsumasaturday that’s so frustrating!!!!

Back to work Weds, so going to try on my school trousers and see what the damage is. I think I’m going to cut out the waistband and replace with elastic and see how far that gets me - I would’ve got new ones over summer but knew I wouldn’t use them for long. Going to try and get away with leggings and dresses later down the line as then don’t have to buy quite as much maternity clothes!

@satsumasaturday what tests do they do? And my nhs scan is bang on 13 weeks for me too. @keyboard91 I'm going to ask work if I can wear leggings in a few week

blondie87 · 22/08/2019 18:58

Just had my booking in and it wasn’t at the midwife led birth unit I’m hoping to deliver at. It was amazing! Every room had a pool and facilities for active labour and lovely lighting. Slight issue is it’s 30-35 minutes away from home and I’ve had two quick labours!

Sezzie87 · 22/08/2019 19:02

Can I join your happy crew? I'm due 20/03/20, first bub ☺️

blondie87 · 22/08/2019 19:07

Was at sorry

Jesskir89 · 22/08/2019 19:23

@blondie87 set off at the first twinge and hopefully you'll make it lol. @sezzie87 welcome :) I'm also due 20th

Murdoe49 · 22/08/2019 19:24

I am in leeds and got told I would get a letter from LGI about my scan, how long does it take from your midwife appointment to getting the letter? I'm eagerly waiting!

avocadoincident · 22/08/2019 19:35

Update:

15: finding out sex
3: not finding out sex
2 undecided

Welcome anyone new here and fabulous scan pictures. X

thankful16 · 22/08/2019 19:39

@avocadoincident I will also be finding out the sex Smile Will help me get more organised and I think I'd be too inpatient to wait until the end to find out lol

MunchyMunchkin · 22/08/2019 19:59

Some lovely scans today!
Told my 4yr old she’s going to be a big sister, she’s delighted!
Had my NIPTY back today and low risk for all trisomies. So the news is now public! Well not on social media or anything like that. Just family, close friends and work.

SweetChillis · 22/08/2019 20:18

Another one for finding out gender here.....I'm way too impatient to wait. Plus I don't want to end up with a load of neutral clothes 😊

I've got my 12 week scan tomorrow afternoon, I'm a whole mixture of excitement and nervousness!

doggeek · 22/08/2019 20:28

Not finding out the sex for my little bubba. It's our first and like the idea of a surprise! By getting neutral stuff we can reuse lots for any future babies as well.

MockingJay27 · 22/08/2019 20:52

@MunchyMunchkin great news!!

I've had my 12 scan through for September 12th when I will be 12+3. I can't wait to see my little one again

SweetChillis · 22/08/2019 21:36

If anyone is looking at buying maternity clothes, I just got 5x jumpers from Gap for £32. Free delivery with £152 discount in the sale. Ok so winter is a long way off but I figured no one would be buying jumpers at the moment (I think I'm longing to get into my winter wardrobe, summer clothes and bloating is proving difficult!) 🙈

Keyboard91 · 23/08/2019 07:08

@Jesskir89 I don’t plan to ask 😂 I’ll just make sure I look extremely smart from the waist up and pray they don’t look at my feet 🙈 I know if I ask they will say no! But £60 for 2 pairs of trousers and then all brand new smart (we aren’t allowed t-shirt material 🤦‍♀️) tops to match ... jog on. That’s over £100 easily!

This may be a TMI subject. Bowels. I’ve managed to go most days but isn’t always a ‘full’ amount and I’m pretty much always having that ‘I’m still full’ feeling. Yesterday we were in boots and I spotted Fybogel and picked up a box. Oh my, I feel SO much better this morning! Not loose or anything like that, I’m just completely satisfied that it’s all out! So much more comfortable 😍 just in case anyone else is struggling with bowels. xx

I’m not planning on finding out the second this one as I want a surprise. Got one of each already so I don’t mind at all what I have.

Haven’t spoken to a midwife yet but only 9weeks now. We going away next week so when I get back I will phone doctors and ask about seeing a midwife/booking 12week scan. Was tempted to book a private scan for this week but we feel £50 is a lot when we are going away and need to watch what we spend as planning our wedding too. Plus I did think if we did get bad news I wouldn’t want to go away and that would be letting the kids down.

My stomach is just so gassy at the moment. I’m gonna go buy some gaviscon.

I told my closest friend a couple of weeks ago and she is so excited. My partner went to my mums house to pick something up and they were talking loads and he text me asking could he tell her and I replied yes. So he did and he said she hugged him and cried her heart out and said it was the best news!

alphabetti · 23/08/2019 08:39

Sorry just realised my phone changed finding out the sex of this one to finding out the second!

barnyb · 23/08/2019 10:10

@MunchyMunchkin did you get the sex of the baby too? X

barnyb · 23/08/2019 10:15

Hey guys I'm constantly pram shopping online I keep changing my mind and keep trying to save money by choosing a cheaper one but I really all I keep thinking about is a more expensive one 🙈 I keep thinking the extra money il spend I could get something else more practical !?
