I'm so excited to start this thread. Looks like I'll be due 1st April from my ovulation day (28th July by last period)!

I'm absolutely over the moon after a MC in May.
Bring on the April Babies!

Age 23
Baby #1 (pregnancy #2)

Welcome to the newbies!

CodlingMoth that sucks. I can't be around aerosols as they irritate my asthma. DH just uses his in the bathroom right after his shower. That might contain the smell a bit?

Had my GP appointment this morning (can't self refer here). Feels a bit more real now even though he didn't do anything more than take my blood pressure. He seemed to think I'll be ok to have an ELCS (EMCS last time), so hopefully it won't cause too much hassle.

timepoor · 02/08/2019 13:04

What my other due date groups have done for Facebook is someone sets a secret one up, then anyone who wants to join friend requests and gets added, and can unfriend after.

I do find it a lot easier too! Anyone object if I do that? PM me to join.

ShirleyPhallus · 02/08/2019 13:30

The the Facebook thing, what happens if we know each other in real life and someone is someone’s boss or something?!

NewtothisFBK4921 · 02/08/2019 13:57

Has anyone whose had babies before had brown spotting? Any idea if this is ok? I had some bloods done last few days and HCG progressing normally which is good, but now I'm spotting so a little worried... Think I'm 5 weeks

MrsG3 · 02/08/2019 14:15

@NewtothisFBK4921 I haven't personally but know people that have and think it can be common around time AF would have been due. Think brown is ok, red would be slightly more cause for concern, but if you're in any way worried or unsure you can always ring GP and ask their advice? 🤞🏻it's just little bean getting cosy 😊

MindyStClaire · 02/08/2019 14:27

NewtothisFBK4921 didn't have any on DD so can't help from that pov, but I did have brown spotting on Sunday. Haven't had any since and tests have continued to get darker.

Basically, from my reading - brown blood is old blood and nothing to worry about. Red blood can be fine but obviously could also be the start of a miscarriage. If you have red bleeding or bad cramping, give your midwife or GP a call. Hopefully something that'll stop soon! Flowers

eskimod · 02/08/2019 16:01

@ShirleyPhallus I worry about that too! I dont want people to know yet so overthink things. Maybe someone I know is in this thread? 😂 probably not but can't help but think!

NewtothisFBK4921 · 02/08/2019 16:05

@MindyStClaire @MrsG3 thank you ladies! Smile

ShirleyPhallus · 02/08/2019 16:18

@eskimod exactly!! Maybe I’ll join the FB group after my 3 month scan but tbh I like the anonymity of here for now

TheWingItWife · 02/08/2019 16:34

Has anyone been for their first midwife appointment yet? Mines booked for next Friday when I'll be 5+5 and it feels like a lifetime away!

HarryPotterandtheSAHM · 02/08/2019 17:37

I love my facebook groups for my other 2 children so I’d be all for joining one , it makes it much easier to keep up with everyone’s comments!

ttc19 · 02/08/2019 17:52

@TheWingItWife Mines a week on Tuesday when I'll be nearly 10 weeks!

mumof1hants · 02/08/2019 18:19

@TheWingItWife @ttc19 it seems so different all over the country. I got told to expect a phone call to arrange first midwife app in 3/4 weeks when I'll be 8ish weeks! X

newgirl89 · 02/08/2019 18:24

Girls are we good to DTD still?! Or is it risky. I can't find anything online to suggest we shouldn't!

WBWIFE · 02/08/2019 18:32

@newgirl89 you can dtd to your hearts content lol

J43mum · 02/08/2019 18:36

What's dtd ?

heidibuttons · 02/08/2019 18:41

Also up for a FB group - still chat with my June 2015 mumsnet breakaway group! No clue how to organise though.
I've booked an early scan for 23rd August when I should be 8 weeks. I did this with my last pregnancy.
I met a friend for lunch yesterday and told her my news. Would have waited but felt like I needed to chat about it with someone other than DH.

heidibuttons · 02/08/2019 18:48

@codlingmoth the deodorant smell thing is not fun! Last pregnancy it was comfort fabric softener that set me off 🤢. My in-laws use it so might be avoiding them if the same aversion starts up!

Islandermum · 02/08/2019 18:50

@JJJenks sorry to leave you hanging! I just called up and explained my symptoms, I just googled EPU + my area and the number showed up.

I'd love to join a Facebook group. Think that would be fab.
6+1 today and think I've got it quite easy with this whole morning sickness stuff. It's here but mild and only in the evening really. Very manageable at the moment. Fingers crossed it doesn't get any worse!
So lovely to see so many new names on the thread. Huge congratulations to you all xx

@J43mum DTD = do the deed / have sex. 🙈

CodlingMoth · 02/08/2019 19:53

@heidibuttons I still heave in the Morrisons bakery section occasionally. DC2 was born 8 years ago!

I'm also still part of my 2011 fb group. Back then we went to fb from the antenatal thread. Happy to join an April 2020 one, once a sticky bean is confirmed.

J43mum · 02/08/2019 19:57

@newgirl89 do you know what I thought that after I clicked post lol Blush

eskimod · 02/08/2019 22:58

@Islandermum
Same here, 6 weeks and feeling lucky that I don't really have morning sickness yet. Fingers crossed it doesn't get worse! Just sore boobs and occasional cramps

MindyStClaire · 03/08/2019 03:16

Feeling the exhaustion. But here I am, 3am and wide awake. Grr...

newgirl89 · 03/08/2019 04:58

@MindyStClaire me too. Feel your pain!!
