I'm so excited to start this thread. Looks like I'll be due 1st April from my ovulation day (28th July by last period)!

I'm absolutely over the moon after a MC in May.
Bring on the April Babies!

Age 23
Baby #1 (pregnancy #2)

Sympathies newgirl89, hope you got back to sleep. Flowers

BumblieBee · 03/08/2019 07:50

Hey ladies, mind if I join? I got my BFP this morning 😁 due sometime around 11th April

BumblieBee · 03/08/2019 07:54

I'm definitely up for a FB group, I'm still on the one I joined for my DS. If you happen to know anyone on there then they're in the same boat as you anyway! It didn't happen on my previous group, but I guess it's always possible.

mumof1hants · 03/08/2019 08:10

@MindyStClaire @newgirl89 I've been the same! So tired but can't get to sleep then waking up for hours in the night! Didn't have this last time! Do you think it's just the adrenaline/excitement of finding out? Or is pregnancy insomnia a thing?! X

MrsG3 · 03/08/2019 08:12

Is the not being able to sleep a pregnancy thing? I'm having the same trouble! Could do with afternoon naps lol 😴

Congratulations @BumblieBee!!!

BumblieBee · 03/08/2019 08:17

@MrsG3 it was a 'symptom' for me last time and I'm the same this time, shattered in the day but then wide awake early in the morning (3am ish onwards) also the weird vivid dreams have started already

TheWingItWife · 03/08/2019 08:23

Congrats @BumblieBee!

Has anyone thought about how they'll tell people yet? My husband and I agreed we'd tell our parents after my first midwife appointment next Friday but I'm even w bit anxious about that. Got quite a few social events coming up too which I'm going to have to find an excuse for not drinking for! HmmWine

MrsG3 · 03/08/2019 09:01

@BumblieBee also having odd dreams, woke up at one point last night in a flat out panic as had a dream that it was Christmas and I'd forgotten to put any decorations up! Was properly stressed out when I woke up 🤣🤣🤣 don't remember having insomnia with the other 2 but it was a while ago so maybe I've forgotten!

Not sure how or when to tell people this time round. I'm older (35 😖) and aware of the higher risk factors so don't want to tell people too early but can't help but think my mum will guess and I don't want her to be offended I haven't told her. Don't think my first midwife appointment will be until 8 weeks either so that's quite a long time to keep quiet!

singme · 03/08/2019 09:13

Congrats to all the new BFPs! Also feeling the insomnia!

Have been a bit worried as my nausea has totally gone the last couple of days and I’m 5+6 today but it seems lots of you have had mild symptoms too.

@TheWingItWife I’ve had a few social events the last couple of days and I just said I’m not drinking at the moment after lots of booze on holiday. Everyone just accepted it which I was surprised about. Thought it was safer than pretending to drink and getting rumbled. Maybe they all secretly thought I should cut down anyway Confused

Nearlyusnai · 03/08/2019 09:22

Hi Girls can I join in please.
We've just had a BFP and a according to my last period dates we r looking at the 12th of April (Easter Sunday). We are very excited but I'm wrecked with nerves. Its literally down to me now. 😳
I'd love a fb group. My symptoms are minimal but I know I'm only 4weeks. I'm dying to tell my mum. My oh is the worlds best secret keeper so he's just like meh... Yeah well tell them in 8weeks.😳😳😳😳 Kill me now!

MrsG3 · 03/08/2019 09:28

Congratulations @Nearlyusnai 💕

mumof1hants · 03/08/2019 09:31

I will be telling my mum & sister tomorrow (at 5+2) because if anything went wrong I'd want them to know anyway. I'll wait till after the 12 week scan to tell anyone else providing everything is ok x

mumof1hants · 03/08/2019 09:31

Congrats to all the new bfps! Such an exciting time!! X

MindyStClaire · 03/08/2019 10:30

We're telling our parents today. I'm going down to stay with mine next weekend and if I didn't have a glass of wine with dinner they'd immediately know so there's no point in pretending. I find I'm less worried this time too - first time around it felt like a big deal to tell people where we were at in life, bit this time around we already have a one year old so it doesn't seem such a big deal iykwim. The only catch is that my best friend is due her second in a couple of months. She's had several miscarriages over the years so I'd hate to have to tell her I'd miscarried while she was pregnant. So we'll keep it to close family til I've had a scan.

We have a big sister t-shirt for DD to wear today, we're just going to enjoy waiting to see how long it takes them to realise. Grin

Nearlyusnai · 03/08/2019 11:41

@MindyStClaire that's a fabulous idea! My oh has a wee girl from a previous relationship and I'd love to do that with her but she's 6 and can read and I don't want to tell her till later on because patients isn't her strong point. Lol 🤣

@mrsg3 thank you so much.

mumof1hants · 03/08/2019 12:04

@MindyStClaire that's a lovely idea. I thought about doing that with my little one ☺️ I bet family wouldn't notice tho!

One of my friends announced she was pg the day I got my BFP. I woke up, did my test then opened my phone and there was a pic of hers! Turns out we'll potentially be due a day apart! I won't be telling her till the scan but fingers crossed it's all ok for both of us x

MindyStClaire · 03/08/2019 12:09

Oh that's lovely mumof1hants. A work friend was due three weeks after me on DD and we became very close. It was brilliant on the tough days to be able to skip straight to "this is a bit shit, isn't it" and bypass the niceties. We used to meet up once a week on maternity, it was like therapy. Does your friend live near you?

mumof1hants · 03/08/2019 12:38

@MindyStClaire ah that sounds lovely. Yes she does so hopefully we can do that on maternity leave too x

Sorbfsiabs · 03/08/2019 16:06

Someone just needs to set up a Facebook group :) I don't have a clue how to do it as secret, as I would have done it. My one for DS1 was amazing

Nearlyusnai · 03/08/2019 16:44

OK I've crated a group. 😂 Just pm me and I'll give u my fb add.

LazJaz · 03/08/2019 17:08

Howdy, can I join? BFP on Wednesday night - huge shock (1st Times a charm I guess) feeling underprepared (imagine that’s pretty standard) as well as mildly anxious - 1st pregnancy and all new, so no idea if physical symptoms I’m experiencing are normal or not but reading this thread has helped a bit. Today felt less weird than yesterday - but odd abdominal twinges all day. Does anyone recommend a pregnancy tracker app? If so, why?

mumof1hants · 03/08/2019 17:33

@LazJaz congratulations!!! And welcome!
I don't use a pregnancy tracker but the ones that tell u how big baby is each week are cute x

Wicketywick · 03/08/2019 17:56

@nearlyusnai I can't work out how to send a PM, will you send me one please? Can you not do it from the app?

Nearlyusnai · 03/08/2019 18:49

@Wicketywick I've sent you a pm there now. 😊

TheWingItWife · 03/08/2019 19:29

How do you send a PM?
