38+2 here and patiently waiting for this baby to get the f out 😂

have you had any signs? I was told by a midwife yesterday that I was in early labour after she had hooked me up to a machine. Then today, a different midwife said I’m not and they're just Braxton hicks and she doesn't know what the other midwife was on about The BH are regular tho. I’m set to be induced on Tuesday.

I'm 40+2. Had a sweep today & had the tiniest show just now. Very impatient. 3rd baby & I'm dying to meet him / her. Really hoping it'll happen soon.

I'm 38+5, I've been waiting for labour but now my hip has gone funny so I'm thinking it'll be better if that heals first!

I’m sleeping fine still tho and don't feel like I’m 39 weeks tbh. Just bored!

It's a shame I’m being induced bc I won't be able to have the baby at the midwife led unit 😕 But, at the same time, at least it will get things moving.

39 + 4 here and really bored and fed up! No signs of anything happening though. Hoping midwife offers a sweep on Thursday.

I also have a sore hip that has just occurred in the last day or so. Not sleeping great and this heat is horrific. Just want to meet my baby now.

I think you can actually ask for a sweep 🧹 so worth a try!

I’m hiding from the heat and staying indoors. Perhaps take cold showers every hour!

Anyone else having lots of BH?

38+2.. so bored that I actually went to work today to find something to do.. (self employed) got a scan on Thursday hopefully they will decide if I'll be induced or not then..

I've been having BH every day! Now I just lay there begging for them to carry on or get stronger but nothing yet

@newmum120 same!! I wish and hope for pain!! I bet we will regret that once we are in labour though.

I have to go up to the hospital (hour round journey) every day to be monitored but at least it's something to do 🙄😂

I have had BH since about 18 weeks and they're becoming very frequent now, mostly painless but I've had 3-4 that have built up very painfully in my back before the usual tightness.

Really want to meet the baby now. Have been woken in the night a few times with cramps and back pain but otherwise no real signs!

Hi. 38+6 today. Currently having what I think are contractions. Been almost two hours now. Hoping they don’t stop!

My DH has been begging me to go to the hospital, he says just go and tell them your in labour then they might do something to make it actually happen 😂 poor guy

38+5 here and starting to really feel miserable now.
Had an appt with my midwife today and she told me that baby is 2/5 engaged. Was hoping she'd be fully engaged by now!

39+2 here and so fed up! Trying all the cliches to get the baby moving (curry, raspberry leaf, clary sage) but he’s not having it

@Mrsmummy90 no midwife has ever told me how engaged I am. Just "engaged but not fully". I should ask really.

Yes I've done the same! Pineapple, 6 dates a day 🤢, hot food, raspberry tea, some supplement that I can't even remember what it is, bouncing on ball, dancing around! Apparently the only known actual thing to do that could work is sex and/or nipple stimulation

I’ve never felt less like having sex in my life 😂 but I think needs must!

39 weeks today! False alarm for me last night. Had Irregular contractions for 3 hours which then just stopped. Feeling crampy today. Hope it progresses. Hope everyone is doing ok in the heat. Fingers crossed for some babies soon.

@Mrbumpoid yeh, definitely ask.
My husband keeps joking that we should be having sex to get the baby out and I might actually take him up on it (although I couldn't think of anything I want to do less!!)
