@MrsEG that article popped up on my FB feed and I actually read it out to DH haha! Hilarious about yours thinking the in-laws would be welcome in the lead-up/aftermath
. How's your head now? And re: the dog, have you got friendly neighbours who could pop in and let them out for a wee / feed them while you're in labour? That's our plan.
@ELW85 Glad your managing to get some food down. How're you feeling today?
@BabySquid Glad your had a fab party - that cake is absolutely amazing! Red velvet too, mm mm!
@Fivebyfive2 £199 - 10% is a great price. Glad you got something out of going. I ended up cancelling as woke up with a banging headache.
@cupcakesandglitter Happy birthday for yesterday! Did you have a good one? Sad about sweet potato fries - I was the same in the first trimester, plain mccain oven chips.
@MrsEG @ELW85 @BabySquid interesting discussion about when to let people over / how much involvement to accept. On the one hand I feel like boundaries are important, but on the other I think genuine help would be a godsend in those first few weeks. I guess it's knowing the difference between guests who just want to come over and hold the baby / take pictures vs. those who will bring some food / stick a load of washing on / make you a cup of tea. As for labour, we've actually asked my mum to be there with us. We all get along really, really well, plus she used to be a midwife.
Oh and on the exercise front - after doing absolutely nothing all first trimester, I went a pregnancy yoga class this weekend. It felt so good to move, though I was embarrassingly sore the day after
. I've just ordered a maternity swimsuit, so I'm tempted to chuck in a couple of swims a week too. I really don't want to lose all my fitness, considering labour is basically one huge epic workout
Have a lovely, relaxing Sunday night everyone!
