@MrsEG ahh that's fair enough. Luckily our neighbours have the same breed as us and they get along, so they'd be happy to facilitate a sleepover. They actually popped over the other day to say they're happy to help out with walking in the first few weeks...I'm so weepy atm so you can imagine that set me off. Good shout about limiting visitors in those early days, I can imagine it's a total culture shock. We live ages away from most family, so I can imagine lots of people will plan to trek down - but I might request they give us a week or so to settle in (and nobody will be staying at the house)!
@ELW85 it's weird isn't it - being nauseous but happy about it?! No you don't sound cold at all, everyone has different relationships with their parents.
@Cookie0508 all the best for today! Let us know how you get on when you get a chance.
@cupcakesandglitter For what it's worth, my symptoms came and went all the time during the first trimester. One minute I'd feel like I was about to throw up, then the next day I'd feel normal all day. I'd tell you not to worry, but to be honest I was the same until I'd had a scan and after that I totally chilled out. All the best for your scan later.
@stormtrooperjulian I had a read through some old threads about having mums + partners in while labouring. One recurrent sentiment, which I must admit hadn't crossed my self-absorbed pregnant mind, was that the partner + mum were able to support one another throughout, too. I want my husband in with my for obvious reasons, but I feel like my mum will be an extra calming presence and also quite reassuring given her previous experience as a midwife.
How's everyone's Mondays going? Mine has been quite productive given mumsnet has been down
. Off to pick up my New Look order in a bit and am also waiting for my new Revlon One Step dryer/brush/thingymabob to arrive...inordinately excited about both.
