Hey,

I thought it would be nice to set up a group for those suffering with anxiety at whatever stage of pregnancy.
I’m approaching 14 weeks and my anxiety has been up and down, particularly as I had a loss last year.
I’m currently having therapy and trying to stay active. Eating and drinking well...

Any tips/thoughts/rants welcome. xx

@Kate3150 ok thanks. A little better this week but I still worry with every little pain or soreness I get even though it sounds perfectly normal. How are you doing?

@RC1985- That’s completely understandable, were so desperate to ensure our little ones are ok 💜.
I’m doing ok thank you, bought a few bits this
morning and spent too much money but needs must 😃 How many weeks are you now?!
@Rise4- I’m so sorry to hear about your losses. I would make an appt with either your GP or consultant if you’re under one to discuss your fears. I had a loss last year and have worried and analysed so much this pregnancy... sending big hugs. If you ever need a chat please feel free to
come on this thread 💜

@Kate3150 aww nice. What did you buy? I haven’t even thought about that yet. I’m
15 weeks tomorrow, my stomach constantly feels like I’ve overdone it at the gym, my muscles hurt, did you get that?

@RC1985- oh wow 15 weeks!!!! It honestly feels like yesterday since I was that far gone. I had a private scan at 17 weeks as wanted to see his little face ☺️. I’ve found a lovely place to go for private scans.. I’ve had 2 so far, have another one booked for 34 weeks, they’re so worth it!!! Are you going to find out what you’re having?
Honestly I’ve had ALL sorts of stomach issues, pains, aches, upsets you name it (& continue to do so!!!)
I bought a snuzpod, baby rocker thingy and a bath. I know I’ll get a few gifts but I don’t want to assume I will and not get something if that makes sense? X

@Kate3150 yes going to find out gender at 20 week scan. Glad I’m not the only one with stomach issues. It doesn’t half worry you though does it?

My family are insistent on buying stuff lol, not sure they will let me buy anything! Although we were looking at children’s books in a shop yesterday :) like the tiger who can for tea and the hungry caterpillar 😊

So today I started leaking clear/watery/odourless fluid. Not loads but still concerning so called GP and have been referred to hospital Wednesday so now I’m proper panicking!

Hi, this is a great idea for a thread and is comforting to know that there are plenty of other people panicking all the time like me. I’m now 14 weeks pregnant but suffered a missed miscarriage in March. We found out at our 12 week scan. I’ve already had that scan and the baby seemed fine, but for the past week I’ve felt like I’m smaller (I know that’s probably just bloating) and I just can’t seem to shake the idea that I may have already or be soon to lose the baby. I think knowing that my body didn’t recognise the miscarriage last time leads me to worry that loss could have already occurred and I wouldn’t know.

@RC1985- is it leaking when you go for a wee or just leaking on it’s own? Also you’re definitely sure it’s not wee? I went to get checked out around 16 weeks as I worried I had leaky waters but it was just urine. Try not to worry too much, but if you are... go straight to the hospital. I did and they checked me over straight away- it only took about 15 minutes and meant I wasn’t worrying about it 😘.
@Tateypops- Sorry to hear about your previous losses, there’s loads of support on here. Lots of us have also experienced a loss making subsequent pregnancies challenging mentally. Remember that you’re past the point of last time which is fantastic. Also don’t beat yourself up about how you’re feeling or listen to anyone who says you “should” be this or that. You’re entitled to feel however you want in this pregnancy and there’s lots of support to get you through 💜

@Kate3150 leaking on it’s own and it’s not loads but just trickles out although this morning there was a bit. How do they test to see if it’s urine of not?

@Tateypops sorry for your previous loss. Although I’ve not had a loss I just constantly worry all the time. We’re all friendly and supportive on here.

@RC1985- They can do a swab test which can detect amniotic fluid.. also they check to see if the cervix is closed. I’ve had LOADS of discharge this pregnancy... I’ve been wearing a pantyliner since around 17/18 weeks. Lots of new and scary things happening to our body... I have often felt things “leaking” during this pregnancy, which is either urine or discharge but still an unsettling feeling to say the least. Sending you a big cuddle, I know exactly how you’re feeling 💜

@Kate3150 my GP didn’t seem too concerned as they could have got me in today. Happy to wait till Wednesday. I’ve been naughty and started reading about incomptent cervix - really shouldn’t have done that!

@Tateypops exactly how I felt. It feels good to talk about it :)

@Kate3150 just come out my appointment. Had a scan, baby is fine, said my cervix was closed and they can’t see a leak. However, they also did a urine sample and think I may have a UTI but also noticed potential blood and have said if I’m a negative group I’ll need ATs or something (think that’s what she said) no idea what it means. Blood results back tomorrow and UTI Monday. They didn’t do a swab though.

@Kate3150 to be fair I was in there an hour and they were really thorough. They said I did the right thing to raise my concerns and to do it anytime. My baby was moving a lot and I think I could feel it 😀 I spoke to my mum who said they have to monitor you if your blood group is different to babies as it can cause problems so she thinks that’s what they are on about but I’ll find out tomorrow. I’m ok, great seeing baby moving. Not really bothered if I have a UTI just want to know if I’m a negative blood group and what this means. Will find out tomorrow so fingers crossed. How are you this week?

Omg, I just found this thread and I need some support.
I am currently 7 weeks pregnant, it was very much planned (first baby and tried for 10months) anyway, since seeing those 2 lines on a test I have been a mess.

I am questioning everything and whether this is the right decision for me. What if I have changed my mind? I’m scared this feeling will never go and I’ll never make a decision.

Any advice?

I’m on medication and I’m seeing my gp again on Monday

Hello All,
I’m just over 7 weeks pregnant with my first and I have been so worried since I saw those 2 lines that I will lose it. I’m counting down the days until the 12 week scan.
I started having nausea about a week ago pretty bad, but then yesterday I woke up feeling a bit sick but it went away quickly. I haven’t had any nausea really since then and today I am really crampy, had a few sharp pains as well. I have been quite crampy since finding out, but my brain just assumes the worst.
Has anyone else had a loss of some symptoms & cramps and gone on to be ok?

@RC1985- Awww it sounds like you’re in really good hands my lovely. You’re doing so well, I hope that you’re recognising that!
I’m doing good thank you... just taken a much more laid back approach to the anxiety and accepted it may be with me until my little man is here, but I’m ok with that 😊.
@Scaredmumma8- Hello Poppet, welcome to the thread. What you’re experiencing is completely normal and even now at 30 weeks I get flickering thoughts of how much life will change and having this new person in my life. It’s scary, especially for first time Mamas. I’m so pleased you’re going to see your GP, I went to see mine around 14 weeks, I also was a mess and felt LOADS better afterwards.
@MountAbora- Hello my love, Welcome! The early weeks are so so tough, best thing you can do is focus on looking after yourself best you can. If you’re really worried about the pains please go and see your GP or even call 111 for advice? I don’t like to think of you worrying bless your heart. Also remember that hormones can make you feel all over the shop mentally which doesn’t help things 💜

Hope you had a good weekend?
