I found out last week (at two days past expected AF) that I'm pregnant - had a BFP on a First Response test. This is my third pregnancy since October last year. Works out that I'm due around the 3rd Feb 2020.

I've had two miscarriages - one in October 2018 at 12 weeks which resulted in surgery and another in February 2019, which ended at 6 weeks. I'm really quite nervous, but hopeful that this time is third time lucky. 🤞🏻🌈

Is anyone else due in Feb 2020? Are you having any symptoms?

I've finally got my scan appointment through today, 7th August.. only 12 days left of anxiety 😰 I don't know why but I've been really concerned recently about something going wrong.. I stupidly read stuff on google that has definitely added to my nerves. So.. hoping and praying it is all positive on the 7th.
Hospital rang me yesterday and said I have e.coli though so I have been put on antibiotics.. just adding to my worry!
They promised me it's all normal and I don't need to worry though..
I'm 11 weeks today.. found out I was pregnant at 7 and a half weeks.. safe to say, this has been the longest 4 weeks of my life 😂
How are you all? Hope you are all feeling good! ❤️

Savvysaz · 26/07/2019 16:52

Hello all

Bit worried as discovered dark brown spotting in my underwear this afternoon. No cramps. I phoned my GP and they told me to phone maternity hospital and they've asked me to come in Sunday for a scan. I'm 9 weeks today. Trying to stay clam....

Savvysaz · 26/07/2019 18:20

Obviously I meant calm 🙄

S082018 · 26/07/2019 19:40

@djmbaker nice to hear your scan date has come through! I'm exactly 11 weeks today too and mine is on the 2nd Aug I'll be exactly 12 weeks then!
And I felt the exact same before my early scan. I remember just feeling really negative and preparing myself for bad news but for no clear reason as I had nothing to feel worried about aside from the lack of symptoms!
Re the E. coli, it's positive that the hospital have said there's nothing to worry about. They really wouldn't say that if there was a cause for serious concern!
How are you feeling otherwise? Any symptoms?

@Savvysaz keeping fingers crossed for your scan on Sunday 🤞🏽 good luck!

Hi guys I'm 9+2 now and only just joining. I had a MC in Feb/march so felt to anxious to join before now. Haven't got my first scan appointment through yet. This is my third pregnancy. Already have a ds who's five.

Edwardsj · 26/07/2019 20:40

Hi Ladies,

Congratulations everyone on their pregnancies!!

Id love to join this thread, I'm 12+1, due 6th February 2020. I haven't joined previously as I had a miscarriage back in Dec 2018 so wanted to wait until the 12 week mark.

Hope everyone's well & enjoying pregnancy so far.

I am super grateful, but would also like some energy back now!

Edwardsj · 26/07/2019 20:44

Also just wanted to say @Savvysaz
Do stay calm, I had spotting for 3 weeks during this pregnancy & after my last one was so panicked. We got an appointment at the EPU to be told baby was fine with a heart beat etc & we are now at 12 weeks. Good luck & sending you positive thoughts for Sunday!

djmbaker · 26/07/2019 21:03

@S082018 I'm feeling ok really.. no majorly awful symptoms but it's been like that since day 1 mainly just exhausted.. I am really bloated.. moody.. sore boobs.. Started with occasional nausea over the past 5 days.. but everything is manageable.
I think that's why I worry so much??
With regards to the water infection I feel nothing, I wouldn't have known if they hadn't said.
I'm just finding it hard to actually believe I am pregnant, almost expecting them to say I've made it up, it feels so surreal if that makes sense?
Really hoping for a positive scan so I can start to enjoy the process.
That's amazing your scan is so soon.. how exciting!! Is this your first?
How are you feeling?? x

Savvysaz · 26/07/2019 21:59

Thank you @Edwardsj and @S082018 only one day to get through before Sunday 🙏

Hi ladies,

Not joined this thread before, I'm 11+4 and have my dating scan on Monday EDD 10/2/20.

Has anyone else got low iron? I've been put on iron tablets because of mine but they're making me feel so bloated and bunged up! (TMI sorry!) anyone know any natural remedies to help?

Thanks in advance x

@djmbaker your symptoms sound exactly the same as mine! No major symptoms whatsoever. No sickness, food aversions or cravings either! The lack of symptoms made me worry too and I agree it all feels a bit surreal! My boobs are so heavy and painful though. I've just today had to buy some lounge bras to wear because my normal bras are so uncomfortable and I don't want to get re-measured until a few weeks yet as I'm sure they're only going to get bigger.
This is my first 😊 so I have nothing else to compare it to! How about yourself?
I do feel like I am showing a bit more this week. My stomach has definitely rounded towards the front and my clothes just don't fit well at the moment either 😩 the only thing I find comfortable is leggings and baggy tops! Roll on winter where we can wear lovely warm baggy jumpers 😊

@WineOrGin yay same scan date! What time is yours on the 2nd? Good luck to you 🥰

Willow432 · 27/07/2019 22:51

Hey, new to this thread. Congratulations everyone!

I’m currently 10+2, due 20/02/20. First baby! Feeling tired, hungry and nauseous at the same time, mardy, sore boobs and very sensitive - cried because I realised I was wearing flip flops and not trainers the other day! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Hormones are very weird. Have my dating scan booked for a week on Monday, scared because it’s booked at 11+5 and not the actual 12 week mark, but having to have consultant led care due to my partners family history and I used to work with the consultant. So trying not to get too worried! Used to work in obs theatres so have definitely seen the worst side to pregnancy.

Looking forward to following everyone’s journey!

Savvysaz · 28/07/2019 15:06

Panic over ladies! Fluttering peanut visible on my scan today. So thankful.

S082018 · 28/07/2019 15:54

@Savvysaz Such lovely news 🥰 congratulations!

RobynC19 · 28/07/2019 16:37

Hi can I join please I'm 9+1 first baby but second pregnancy after a missed miscarriage in April. I have had a 6 week scan and 8+5 weeks scan both normal so further along than last time. I can't wait to get to my 12 scan .

@Savvysaz yay I'm really pleased for you! Xx

S082018 · 28/07/2019 20:33

@WineOrGin I wish mine was so early! Mine isn't until 3.30pm 😫 I'm going to be distracted all day!

S082018 · 29/07/2019 09:35

Quick question for you lovely ladies... so they say that hair is supposed to grow lovely and thick during early pregnancy as are your nails! My nails are so strong and long now, they're great. My hair on the other hand...is falling out like there's no tomorrow 😩😩 I'm literally shedding everywhere and I can most definitely tell the lengths of my hair are thinning out. Anybody else have any experience of this or have any suggestions on what may help??

djmbaker · 29/07/2019 13:33

@S082018
This is my first too, so same as you.. so hard when there is nothing to compare too! If I'm honest I've found it so emotional, just constantly worrying something is wrong as my symptoms aren't major.
WISH I'd gone for an early scan, I regret that!
I've got a doc appointment today, I've had minimal brown spotting over the past 24 hours but my midwife said if I go to the doc they will more than likely send me for an early scan.
My midwife said they don't worry about anything brown especially if it's minimal but to ease my mind I should go to the doc - so keeping everything crossed it's all ok!
With regards to hair.. mine has gone so dry!! And frizzy. It feels awful. Baby stealing all my goodness 😂
Clothes wise I have been living in gym pants too.. we have a wedding on Saturday and nobody knows there so that's been an excuse for a lovely new dress!!
Have you had your 12 week scan now? x

S082018 · 30/07/2019 11:33

@djmbaker how did your doctors appointment go? Fingers crossed all ok for you 🤞🏽
My 12 week scan is this Friday - 3 more sleeps to go! So excited yet nervous x

djmbaker · 30/07/2019 15:41

@S082018 thankyou.. it actually went well.. she was really reassuring and told me the spotting is nothing to concern her so just stay calm and then she managed to get my scan brought forward (to help calm me down 😂) so I'm having my scan tomorrow!! I am so scared but the past few days I've never felt more pregnant 😂 so I'm hoping it's a good sign.. 🙏🏻
My pregnancy books finally arrived today so hopefully, if all is well tomorrow I can stay off google from now on. How are you?? Have you told many people? I can't wait to just let people know, I'm a beauty therapist so I'm permanently with women and I am sure they all already know so will be a relief to tell them. xx

S082018 · 31/07/2019 09:51

Good luck with your scan today @djmbaker 🤞🏽 hope all goes well! What time is it at?
I'm doing well thanks...minimal symptoms but a sudden increase in tiredness last week and this week. I'm 11+5 today and waiting for this second trimester glow I hear so much about!
So far, my husband and I have only told our immediate family - parents and siblings. Nobody else knows! I can't wait to share the news though and will have to do it soon I imagine as I have started to show and so can't keep it quiet for much longer! X
