I found out last week (at two days past expected AF) that I'm pregnant - had a BFP on a First Response test. This is my third pregnancy since October last year. Works out that I'm due around the 3rd Feb 2020.

I've had two miscarriages - one in October 2018 at 12 weeks which resulted in surgery and another in February 2019, which ended at 6 weeks. I'm really quite nervous, but hopeful that this time is third time lucky. 🤞🏻🌈

Is anyone else due in Feb 2020? Are you having any symptoms?

@WineOrGin thanks for asking I just feel horrific. Had two days admitted to my local pregnancy ward. Discharged by an unhelpful Dr who wouldn't prescribe the meds I had been given in hospital ?! Madness. Thrown up a few times today but the nausea is crippling.

Totally ruins pregnancy Sad

Mumtoanimals · 13/07/2019 07:14

I'm due around 26/27 February according to my app. Congratulations to all other mums to be. First time for me too. Struggling this week (7 weeks pregnant) with nausea, constipation and eating. Saw the midwife last week and was told im not eating enough... but cannot stomach food. Anyone got any tips on what i can do. Really starting to get me down and upset (this might also be hormones)
Have constant headaches now as not enough going into my body. Was fine up until 7 weeks exactly.

pandaobsessed · 13/07/2019 15:31

@motherofthetoon sorry to hear you've also got HG. I'm currently suffering from it too and have recent been in hospital. I also have a toddler - a 21 month old. Did you have it with your other pregnancy? I did, and it went by about 14 weeks, so hope it's the same this time. I'm currently 10+5.

Been a little while since i have caught up on here. Congrats to all who have got their BFPs recently.

Well i went for a private scan this morning and I am still in shock as I am having TWINS!

not sure if they are identical or not yet as couldnt get a clear enough picture so will have to wait until 12weeks scan for that.

It was amazing to see both their little heartbeats fluttering away.

Two little beans

Oh wow how exciting @Wishing56! Congratulations!

I also had a private scan today and everything’s looking good at 10w1 - really relieved as this is around the time my MMC was discovered last year, and I’d been really worried about disappearing symptoms. Lovely to see the little blob jumping about ❤️

@pandaobsessed oh love to you too. It's the absolute worst I just can't function. My little one is 3 and a half so at least a bit more independent and he knows he must help Mum at the moment. Mine didn't go away last time and was the whole way so I hope I get some relief like you did. Hope you feel better soon!

lunaland · 13/07/2019 17:04

Can I join in? I'm currently 10+5.
I don't have my first scan till 13 weeks-the time is going so slowly!

The nausea is horrible but luckily not been sick all that much.
Is anyone having horrendous headaches?

I'm excited to be pregnant but I must admit I am sick of feeling rubbish all the time!

Congratulations to everyone xxx

MrsC89 · 13/07/2019 17:13

Stressed myself out!
Felt a little better yesterday, and DTD, straight after when I wiped there was a bit if blood.
Called 111 as away and still haven't had my booking appointment, they told me to go to out of hours.
Went to out of hours, passed a small clot.
Told a very unhelpful GP who said "yeah... you might have a miscarriage, but sex wouldnt have started the bleed"
Found it all very confusing as 100% that is what started the bleed.
No more blood today, put a pad on overnight and there was nothing. Now back home, so will contact GP as Mr out of hours said I need to go to EPU but passed me off to sort with GP at home

LizzieMoe · 14/07/2019 22:02

Hi all!
It’s taken me ages to write on this thread, I’m 9 weeks now but still feeling like I’m not allowed to get excited.
I don’t feel like it’s real yet. I still haven’t seen a gp/midwife (first appointment at the end of this week)
I think I’m feeling extra nervous now as I was on a mountain biking trail the other day and fell off my bike, face first. I’m so worried something could have happened.

motherofthetoon · 15/07/2019 22:23

@LizzieMoe it's time to get excited Grin

Hope everyone else is well!!

I'm a second baby Hyperemesis sufferer and I feel I'm having a break through today with new tablets. These are the tablets that worked last time round but the Dr still wouldn't start me on them this time. Praying now that I can tolerate daily life now!

Geo33 · 15/07/2019 23:09

@WineOrGin so pleased to hear your scan went well!!

@mrslaurenbrown don’t worry I had a bit of brown spotting whilst I was away and think this is related to when my next period is due and apparently you can get that and obviously hoping it passes and no bad news. Just trying to stay positive!!

I hope we all feel better soon they say after 12 weeks it should settle praying we all get through the next month or so xx

Geo33 · 15/07/2019 23:15

@Wishing56 congratulations that’s amazing news!!

Flowersandrainbows2017 · 16/07/2019 07:24

Hi everyone
Hope you’re all doing well!
So I’m now 9+4 and things (touch wood) apparently seem to be progressing, symptom wise-still not had a scan or anything to confirm though, holding out.

So a couple of us posted a while on this thead about the booking appointment and not having heard anything yet...I still haven’t!
I called my GP surgery last week to say I hadn’t had any contact from the midwives and my GP had suggested I’d have the appointment between 8-10 weeks and I was already over 8 weeks and nothing (so would be little notice even if the app was going to come through!). The receptionist went away to ask someone and told me I was being premature, I wouldn’t hear anything until between 10-12 weeks. I told her what the GP had said and her response was ‘well, the person I asked WOULD know’ and that was conversation over.
So another week passed and I finally tracked down the direct number for the midwives yesterday afternoon and the lady I spoke to there said it was likely the referral hadn’t gone through properly as I should have heard from them within a week of GP referral (3 weeks ago now and GP was right, app usually 8-10 weeks) Sad

So now I’m waiting for the midwives to call back (no one was in at the time I called yesterday) and worrying it’s all too late now for getting things sorted for the scan etc. The main reason I called was because I’m going on holiday in a couple of weeks so that would only give me between 10-11 weeks to have the app, even if the GP receptionist was right about the 10-12 weeks.

So annoyed with myself for now pushing with the GP receptionist now, she just made me feel like I was totally wasting her time Sad. I really hope then midwife rings today so I don’t have to chase.
As if my pregnancy anxiety alone isn’t enough!!!

Sorry for the stupidly long post, if you’ve stuck with it thanks! I just needed to rant!!!!

Hope you all have a good day!

Emmafromdorset · 16/07/2019 10:12

@Flowersandrainbows2017 hey! I'm also 9+4 today 😁 how are you feeling? This is my 4th pregnancy and this time around I'm so paranoid, worse than the others!! My youngest is 8 now so I feel like a first time mum again lol, I feel like I've forgotten what pregnancy is like! Got my 1st appointment with midwife on friday, I just can't wait until the scan! I have a niggling feeling things are wrong so just want some reassurance things are all ok. Is this your first baby?

LizzieMoe · 16/07/2019 20:11

@Flowersandrainbows2017
How annoying! The receptionist I spoke to when organising my booking appointment was a total cow too. Try not to worry, from what I’ve heard the booking appointment is always done before 12 weeks so I’m sure when you explain things they will prioritise your appointment and make sure they get you in on time.

@motherofthetoon
Sorry to hear about the sickness, hope those pills are helping!

@Emmafromdorset
Hi! I’m 9+2 with my first. I’ve got my booking appointment on Thursday. I’ve been counting down the days!! Hope your paranoia settles soon, I think we’ve all got it bad at this stage! Well I know I do!

pandaobsessed · 16/07/2019 20:32

@Flowersandrainbows2017 if it's any consolation, my dating scan is booked for when I'm 12+3. Although I did receive the appointment date back when I was around 7 or 8 weeks, about a week after seeing the midwife. Sorry you're having trouble. Hopefully it gets sorted for you soon x

Flowersandrainbows2017 · 16/07/2019 21:37

Thanks everyone. The midwife called earlier. The referral had indeed not gone through as suspected. And now they are totally booked up as regular midwife is on maternity leave herself, so they are relying on cover. Even the week I’m on holiday there’s nothing, so makes no odds that I’m away. She said there’s no way of arranging the scan before the booking appointment and originally the first booking appointment available was 9th August when I would be almost 13 weeks-then min 14 days for scan after that... which is too late. It’s such a mess and seemed v restrictive (given it’s also not really my fault either, just wish I pushed harder). She eventually managed to squeeze me in on the 30th July at a post natal clinic instead Hmm, but I’m absolutely gutted because I lost a very close friend yesterday and of course the funeral I found out today is on the 30th, so I now can’t go to all of that as it’s not local. So all in all, it’s been an incredibly emotional and stressful day.
[...and breathe! No sickness today, so it’s been kind to me at least on that front!]

JellyBaby666 · 17/07/2019 12:40

@Wishing56 What wonderful news for you! Congratulations!

Having a tough day, anxiety wise. Woke up worried symptoms are easing off and went into panic mode and fearing the worst. We have a private scan on Saturday, so afraid I'm going to go in and there will be no heartbeat.

DuchessofPemberley · 17/07/2019 13:56

Hi all! 👋

I’m 8+2, due February 24th! I’m currently on tablets for HG, and have been nauseous since week 3. I didn’t expect this little thing to take over my life so much so quickly!

Hope everyone is doing well today 😀

LolaLollypop · 17/07/2019 14:34

Hi everyone. 9+1 here with my second on the way. I already have a daughter who is 22 months. Feeling quite scared about how I am going to manage a feisty, headstrong toddler and a newborn!! I had an early scan at 7 weeks as there are twins in my family so I wanted to get prepared if that was the case but there's just one little bean in there again :o)
Had quite bad nausea for the last few weeks that thankfully seems ot be easing off now. I have been eating loads and already look about 5 months pregnant - must try and eat more salad lol!

S082018 · 17/07/2019 16:05

Hi all! Haven't posted in a while as I've been on a lovely holiday so just trying to catch up!

How is everybody feeling? I am 9+5 today and have my booking apt with the midwife tomorrow! Strangely looking forward to it as I'm sure things will feel much more "real" 😄

ImMeantToBeWorking · 18/07/2019 10:35

Best of luck with it @S082018 let us know how it goes!! Hope you had a lovely holiday and came back all relaxed.

I have heard nothing re booking appointment or scan, and I can't get through to the maternity ward of the hosp to sort anything!!

I have been so bad, reading to keep up but not responding, I hope everyone is well!! The tiredness is real this week, I am going up home for the weekend and I have organised for my mam to collect me from the train as I don't want the long drive after work tomorrow. I can use my dad's car when I am home when I need it, so I am going to avoid the friday rush on the motorway and sit back on the train with my book instead!! It really is the simple things!! lol

S082018 · 18/07/2019 12:49

Thanks @ImMeantToBeWorking how far along are you? I remember feeling completely exhausted for a solid two weeks where I couldn't get through the day without a nap! It's definitely passed now though thankfully.

My booking apt today felt a bit rushed in all honesty. Just explored my health, family history, completed a risk assessment which determined if I was high/low risk. Low risk for me which is good! Blood tests booked in for next week and another midwife apt booked in for when I am 16 weeks.
I have been told I should get a letter about my 12 week scan shortly and to phone up and chase this if I don't get this in the next week or so.
