I found out last week (at two days past expected AF) that I'm pregnant - had a BFP on a First Response test. This is my third pregnancy since October last year. Works out that I'm due around the 3rd Feb 2020.

I've had two miscarriages - one in October 2018 at 12 weeks which resulted in surgery and another in February 2019, which ended at 6 weeks. I'm really quite nervous, but hopeful that this time is third time lucky. 🤞🏻🌈

Is anyone else due in Feb 2020? Are you having any symptoms?

@hazandduck no, I have a little boy who is 19 months and since him have had two miscarriages. I don't feel sick yet (I had Hyperemesis from 5.5 weeks with him until about 13 weeks), but I do feel a bit nauseous after eating certain things. I do have an aching back too!

@becdenkings ah bless you, sounds uncomfortable. I'm suffering from a little bit of hip ache and lower back ache at the mo. Hope the Rennies are giving you some relief 😊

@Newbie21 the HCG blood tests are the most accurate things I think. Or have been in my experiences. Be nice for you to go away on holiday and maybe (try) to not think about things. Going anywhere nice? I do think it's a good idea to have a scan before 12 weeks.

@Morningchorus how about a bananas to give you a bit of energy? I hate the things, so not an option for me 😂 but can't think of anything else pregnancy-friendly without involving sugar or caffeine.

@ZeppyLoo congratulations to you on your pregnancy! The tiredness is reallllll 😴

Congrats to all you other ladies who have joined 😊😊

@pandaobsessed we're off to Portugal - Algarve for 2 weeks - really looking forward to it. Hopefully the relaxation will help things along. I'm having the HCG tests before we go so hopefully no surprises whilst away but then 2 weeks is a long time but fingers crossed.

tisonlymeagain · 07/06/2019 14:45

On my way to hospital as just had sex and afterwards I was bleeding, quite a lot of bright red blood. I don't want to go as can't see the point but DP insists. Got a very bad feeling. I'm only 5+1 so pretty sure nothing would show on a scan yet.

MayZ · 07/06/2019 19:40

I hope you don't mind me joining Smile

I'm due Feb, so around 6 wks now (still don't get how you write dates!)

Am terrified though (as well as excited) as had a MC at 6 wks back in September and due to age (39) have been undergoing fertility testing that has suggested I've no chance naturally! So am worried my eggs are poor and won't hold. Haven't even rung docs yet but will do for an appointment Monday.

Have sore boobs and am nauseous/starving all the time! Confused

no-one knows yet apart from my OH and I can't decide when a good time will be? Am going for Harmony testing due to age and previous fertility test results. So maybe after that.

hazandduck · 08/06/2019 08:35

Sorry for your losses @pandaobsessed. I had two back to back before DD, it takes it out of you and is hard to be positive when pregnant again :(
My DD is 19 months next week, so we will be nearly the same age gap wise! I’m already thinking how will I cope 🤪 Going to try and potty train in the next 8 months so I don’t have two lots of nappies to contend with...

hazandduck · 08/06/2019 08:41

Also I never had proper sickness, just slight queasiness now and then with DD, but I have been feeling really queasy, kind of car sick, the last couple of evenings! It feels way too early.

hazandduck · 08/06/2019 08:42

@tisonlymeagain so sorry I missed your post...how are you feeling? What did the hospital say? Sex can irritate it and cause bleeding. Hopefully that’s all it is. Hope you’re ok x

tisonlymeagain · 08/06/2019 10:26

Thanks @hazandduck Hospital did bloods as too early to be referred for scan and said they'd call me. They called last night and progesterone wasn't back from the lab but HCG was 14,500 - which I think is pretty high for 5+1 so the sister said on that basis she was happy to refer for a scan and I'm booked in for Monday afternoon. She said at those levels something should be visible on the scan. But worried but accepting it's out of my hands. No more bleeding but a bit of a brown tinge when I wipe, not what I'd call spotting. Hoping that's just leftover.

Newbie21 · 08/06/2019 16:20

I just had my HCG results back from this morning's test - 2747 I'm 4 weeks 6 days so well within the normal range but the Monday test will be the important one. Midwife said they will scan me on Monday as with my levels it should show a sac and maybe fetal pole but she said not to be concerned id it doesn't as it is early days and they will book me for another scan a couple of weeks later. I'm just pleased that so far so good. All my 3 MCs occurred after now so I know it's early days but as they say "today I'm pregnant" :-).

I hope everyone is doing ok? Not too sick or anxious x

GinGeum · 08/06/2019 18:20

Hi! I have just found out I am due in Feb 2020 too, could I be added to the secret Facebook group please? Thank you!

tisonlymeagain · 08/06/2019 20:02

Hi @GinGeum can you inbox me the email address linked to your FB account, or your FB name and tell me what's on your profile pic and I'll add you as a friend, add you to the group and then unfriend.

My bleeding seems to have stopped. I've done a test today and it's still blazing. Boobs still hurt. Just waiting for scan on Monday now. Hoping it's good news.

That's good news @Newbie21 re HCG, I am amazed at how much they vary wildly. Mine has made me a bit nervous as I'm not sure if it seems too high? Time will tell. Good luck for scan, mine is in the PM Monday.

S082018 · 09/06/2019 09:42

Hi ladies, can I join you?

I got a BFP on Wednesday this week at 10dpo! So very early.
I then took two FR tests on the Thursday and Friday just to be sure. (images attached)

I am 4 weeks today according to my pregnancy + app and have my Doctors appointment in tomorrow.

EDD 16th February 2020. 😊

Symptoms at the moment are heavy sore boobs, nausea in the mornings and definite increased tiredness.

Hope you are all doing well and wishing you a happy and healthy journey x

Hi everyone, I've found out I'm due in February too, on the 8th. But I feel so anxious and feel like I'm can't really talk to anyone about it. I'm 38 and this is my first child. And I've been spotting and getting cramps and slight twinges in my abdomen. I know it could be nothing and I know that stressing about it is probably making it worse but my partner thinks I'm being dramatic and that I've got nothing to worry about. Does anyone else experience any sensations there or should I go and see my midwife?
I have loads of stress in my life and may have to move from England to America in the next few months so everything is really stressing me out. And advice would be really appreciated and congratulations to everyone, I'm so happy, just wish I could chill.

Newbie21 · 09/06/2019 10:11

Welcome @S082018 fingers crossed for a sticky one. Is this your first?

@tisonlymeagain I know what you mean, they vary so much. I was super nervous getting results, I'll be even worse tomorrow since I've been in the position before when I found out about an MC due to falling HCG levels. I was just pleased the level was within range. Do you think you could be having multiples? Or maybe you caught early on. In any case I don't think there is an issue with having high levels.

tisonlymeagain · 09/06/2019 10:35

@Newbie21 multiple has crossed my mind but I really hope not Confused DP and I already have 4 between us. I don't think I would be any further on, I was temping and doing OPKs so pretty much know when I ovulated. I guess tomorrow should give us some information, I'm just hoping something shows.

OceanPearl · 09/06/2019 10:53

Hi ladies,

Congrats on all of you BFP!
I’m pregnant with my 2nd. There will be a 4 year gap between this baby and my DD.

According to my pregnancy+ app I’m 5 weeks.

I’m so much more nervous this time around. I feel like I know how amazing and special it is to have a healthy baby. I feel like we hit the jackpot with our daughter and now I’m worried we won’t be as lucky second time around.. any one else got these worries?

xx

Newbie21 · 09/06/2019 11:08

@OceanPearl congratulations! I think a lot of us ladies understand the anxiety. I have an amazing nearly 3 year old DS - caught second month of trying, easy pregnancy, no symptoms particularly and very healthy little boy who sleeps like a dream. So yes, have been of the view it might not be so easy with the second. Unfortunately that has been the case for me although I am old! 38. I had 3 MCs last year. So pregnancy is quite a different experience now ... filled with worry. However, I'm trying my hardest to take a "what will be, Will be" attitude and take each day as it comes. I have my fingers crossed for you. Try and relax as much as you can.

pandaobsessed · 09/06/2019 17:47

@Newbie21 I hope you have a lovely time. Sounds like it's just what you need to relax.

@hazandduck thank you 💕 I'm sorry to hear you've lost too. It is tough, but I'm already feeling so much more positive about it this time around. Think that's a good thing! I was thinking about potty training too, but god knows how. My little one wouldn't know what I was on about asking him if he needed a wee etc. 😂 how do you know they're ready?

Congrats to all the new ladies joining. And most importantly, relax (easier said than done I know!) x

OP posts:
S082018 · 09/06/2019 18:23

@Newbie21 Yes it'll be my first! 😊 feeling very excited yet anxious. Particularly as I tested so early but I am pleased that I had such strong positives. Fingers crossed hey 🤞🏽

Newbie21 · 09/06/2019 21:41

@pandaobsessed on the potty training - don't do it until you think they are ready as it takes all the longer and can make them more anxious. You might have done this already but would suggest buying a potty and putting it in bathroom and maybe before bath time ask if they want to use it. Buy a potty book - we bought my son the Thomas tank engine potty book and he enjoyed it. Talk a lot about going for wees and poos - you and DP so they know what you are doing etc and they may take an interest. When they start showing an interest or understanding then consider when best to do it. If you wait until you get a few signs - dry nights, dc sitting on potty etc it's so much easier.

pandaobsessed · 10/06/2019 08:19

Are any of you ladies getting sick yet? I had Hyperemesis Gravidarum with my DS which started around 5.5 weeks I think. I'm 6 weeks today and have only had a bit of nausea so I'm getting paranoid something is wrong. Can't help but analyze everything after the miscarriages ☹️

@Newbie21 thank you for the potty training advice. I definitely don't think DS is ready just yet, but I will get a potty for him to get used to seeing it around etc. I'm sure it won't be long, but want to wait until he's ready 😊

tisonlymeagain · 10/06/2019 09:48

No not yet @pandaobsessed. I did a thread last week asking when it kicks in (I've had two DC before but a long time ago) and most people said around 6 weeks onwards. I feel a bit yucky today but I think I am nervous about my scan today.

ImMeantToBeWorking · 10/06/2019 09:52

Hello all, can I join in?

AF due yest (9th June) but I tested on Friday and got a very strong BFP. This will be my first. I have used three different calculators and I am getting due dates for 16th, 19th and 22nd of Feb so I am not sure which one to believe.

When should I be going to the doctor to get refereed to the hospital?

I have sore nipples and woke up crying with cramps on sunday and had some this morning too, but I know it is constipation not anything else. Is there anything that is safe to take?
