Ridiculous things that made you cry when pregnant?

Trying to be a bit more lighthearted about my hormonal mood swings (which seem worse at 16 weeks!)

So far I've cried at:

  • my friend saying my scan picture looked funny
  • someone looking at my stomach on the tube
  • my dp eating my packet of chipsticks
-remembering I couldn't eat a soft cheese my mil bought me -the fact I'm pregnant and always wanted to be pregnant but right now don't feel massively pregnant!

Hopefully not just me GrinBlush

Cars pulling over for emergency services vehicles always used to make me sob when I was pregnant.

To be honest, pretty much anything made me cry. I’d like to say it gets better but my youngest is 6 and I’m still far far more emotional than I ever was before Confused

I cried because my dp told me I coughed too much and then another time because I was petting the school dog and a kid came over to me and said he (the dog) was so cute 🤣 Oh and another time because I realised I didn't have any salt and vinegar crisps in my lunchbox at work. also have cried a lot when I've told people I'm pregnant but that's more understandable lol

jp237 · 14/05/2019 18:28

I watched ET and cried for three solid days.

Cherylshaw · 14/05/2019 18:31

I used to ball my eyes out at the pampers premature advert.
Really any advert with babies or old people.
I cried everyday because I hated being pregnant and I thought that would make me a bad mum. It didn't I just hate being pregnant!

Cherylshaw · 14/05/2019 18:33

@BellMcEnd
I'm the same I was never a crier before having kids but anything sets me off now, went to see in the night garden live the other week and had to use my dd to hide my face as started crying when the theme music started 🤷🙈

MissKatyKat · 14/05/2019 18:47

I'm currently 29 weeks and already have an 8 month old (crazy I know!) so that makes for a lot of fun!
I cry when my 8 month old won't eat what I give her, when she won't help me get her shoes on, when she needs a nappy change, and sometimes I cry when she laughs because I just feel like I love her so much!
I also cried when we ran out of orange juice the other day and when I planned to go to bed at 10 o'clock and before I knew it it was 10:30pm! My partner thinks I'm crazy, and to be honest I do too! :)

Andrea91 · 14/05/2019 18:51

My ICE lolly was cold! That was good 10 min blubb lol

youngfreeandnotsingle · 14/05/2019 18:52

I cried a couple of weeks ago because we had no frozen chips or waffles. All I wanted was potato goodness that was easy to cook😩

SophieLMumsnet · 14/05/2019 18:54

Cried when DH opened a tin of tuna. Still don't think I've forgiven him..

jcq17 · 14/05/2019 18:56

My Husband ordered a Long Island iced tea and I burst into tears in the middle of a bar 🤣🤣

ABlether · 14/05/2019 18:57

FIL ate my Easter egg and I cried in anger. Not my finest moment. Felt about 8 years old but I mean... who does that?! Fuck's sake.

BellMcEnd · 14/05/2019 18:57

@Cherylshaw I also cried at an air show when the Red Arrows went over as I was so happy to see them this was last year when DS was 5 Blush

jellybeanteaparty · 14/05/2019 19:01

Cried when my mum asked where the hoover lived and I said with tears streaming down my face the hoover doesn't have a home!

ricepuddingme · 14/05/2019 19:03

Baby is 3 weeks now and I have a 2 year old who likes watching old episodes of 'come outside-pippin' on YouTube...

I would bawl at every episode!

Prequelle · 14/05/2019 19:07

I had been craving pure orange juice for 48 hours, I waited until 9pm for the Tesco delivery only to find the one item they had forgotten to pack was the orange juice

I threw myself onto my bed and sobbed into my pillow until my DP quietly went out of the house and got me some.

LokiDokiArtichoki · 14/05/2019 19:10

This will out me to anyone who knows me irl, but I was sobbing over the fact that our moon is the only moon that doesn’t have its own name. It’s just so sad Sad

IceCreamSoda99 · 14/05/2019 19:10

Cried at a advert for a computer game, A Plague Tale: Innocence if you are interested Grin

LizzieZara · 14/05/2019 19:12

The fact that friends ended 15 years ago and I I'll never know if they are all still friends..

Also the fact that the big bang theory is ending in a few weeks and its supposed to be an emotional finale.. my partner said 'I bet they are gonna kill Sheldon off' which upset me far more than it should!

Otterses · 14/05/2019 19:14

I'm still very upset about this Blush

I dropped a family sized tray of rice pudding I bought from M&S on the floor. I sobbed for an hour on the stairs, then cried again when I realised because I'd spent so much time crying M&S was closed. I intended to eat the whole thing on my own in front of Notting Hill.

I also cried because DH spilled a tiny drop of water on me, and I sobbed that he 'got me wet'. He rips the piss constantly with that one.

Zippea · 14/05/2019 19:16

Joseph and the technicolour dreamcoat in bbc 1, I cried so hard every time they had to hand the coat back and sing the song. Still watched it every week

Otterses · 14/05/2019 19:17

Oh Grin and more humiliating than sad, I got stuck on the floor wrapping Christmas presents. I would have been a week overdue I think at this point. I only rang DH to help me a few hours after, as I realised I was on the third episode of something on Netflix, I couldn't reach the remote and it would turn off soon Blush

GiveMeFood12 · 14/05/2019 19:18

Because I couldn't put my boots on

Because I got stuck between the car and the pillar in the car park

Because mothercare had discontinued my baby's nursery range when I only had half of it

Because my mum said I looked tired - 2bf I did look tired ha!

Xyzzzzz · 14/05/2019 19:18

Cried at how fat I looked
Cried at pretty much everything...I am very oversensitive at the moment

Heymummee · 14/05/2019 19:20

I cried when a takeaway took an hour and a half to arrive and then the Thai green curry i had ordered was too spicy and it was all DP’s fault

Rarfy · 14/05/2019 19:21

Dp gave me my birthday card with a clump of our dogs hair in. Tbf I had been in hospital a week at that point and knew I had another 3 to go at least. Until dd arrived the dog was my baby Grin
