7lb 6oz and she was in newborn and even some tiny baby stuff from Boots. We'd bought mostly 0-3 months and it drowned her.

Teddybear45 · 09/05/2019 09:18

If 10 pounds - new born / 0-3 depending on brand

If less - tiny baby / new born / premie ranges

bitchfromhell · 09/05/2019 09:19

My 10lbs was in 0-3, I could wedge him into up to 1 month size but only for a week.

orlawhirl · 09/05/2019 09:21

7lb 5oz, tiny baby for around 2 weeks, then newborn/first size for the next 4-6ish weeks. She only went into 0-3 around 6-8 weeks old. I found it didn't fit for that long, she went into 3-6 months at 3 months. We had loads of 0-3 that never got worn.

cardboard33 · 09/05/2019 09:23

He was 7lbs at 37 weeks. We are now 10 weeks in and he just about looks like the 0-1 month stuff fits him comfortably and was in newborn until he was about a month then he got too long but they were still baggy. He's only in the 9th percentile for his age though. We have found in the last few weeks that some of our 0-3 month gear is ok on him now and is probs similar size wise to the 0-1 month then other stuff still drowns him.

@sherlocksays the boots newborn stuff is massive isn't it? My baby is still wearing his boots newborn ones!

Lazysundays18 · 09/05/2019 09:25

9lbs 11oz& he was in newborn for 2-3 weeks then 0-3.

octonoughtcake3 · 09/05/2019 09:28

9lb 9oz and was in up to a month for just over a week and then into 0 to 3 months.

LeekMunchingSheepShagger · 09/05/2019 09:30

7lb 12 newborn and 0-3 months. The newborn stuff only fit for a couple of weeks so wasn't worth it rally!

9lb 6 0-3 months. Newborn was too small.

firstimemamma · 09/05/2019 09:32

8 lb 14.5oz baby boy

Had clothes mainly from mothercare & Sainsbury's with some other shops too and loads second hand.

Tiny baby gathered dust!

Newborn fitted for about 2 weeks then he was in 0-3 months.

Having said that we still packed outfits from each of those 3 sizes for his hospital bag though as you never know!

My niece could only wear tiny baby when she was born but only 1 relative had bought her an outfit in that size so there was lots of last min shopping once the baby had arrived!

Creas35 · 09/05/2019 09:33

7lbs - first size - I did bring some newborn as well.

belleshelles · 09/05/2019 09:33

6lb 2oz and tiny baby, 0-3 months drowned DD. DD was in newborn things fit after a couple of weeks.

Soubriquet · 09/05/2019 09:34

Dd was 5lb 13oz. She was in first size/newborn though they were a little big on her. She was in 0-3 months within a month

Ds was 5lb 3oz and was in preemie clothing as well as preemie nappies. He was in them for a good 2 months before he went up to first size

redbedheadd · 09/05/2019 09:35

9lbs 4, newborn for 2 weeks then 0-3, he is really long so newborn was too short.

Spanneroo · 09/05/2019 09:35

Wow! Where do all of your babies hide their weight? My two were 7lb 7 and 7lb 11 and both too big for newborn right off the bat!

Eldest grew incredibly fast and had outgrown 0-1 in 3 days, and 0-3 was too small by day 10. Youngest stayed in 0-1 for the first couple of months. Their dad is pretty tall so maybe I just have long babies, thinking about it...

Slomi · 09/05/2019 09:36

9lbs 1oz and she was straight into 0-3 months. She was incredibly long and lanky though, so it was her height that meant she needed the next size up rather than her weight iyswim. I had brought newborn clothes as well as the 0-3 month ones and the midwife insisted on trying to squeeze her into the newborn ones. The buttons wouldn't close over her nappy and I ended up telling her off for trying to force them Blush

NotANewUser2 · 09/05/2019 09:36

8lb 9 - first size/newborn has never fit... still in ‘up to 1 month’ as DD is still very new Halo

WhoAreThey · 09/05/2019 09:38

9lb 2oz wore newborn but not for long.
10lb 8oz 0-3 months. I’d bought newborn not expecting her to be so big but it did not fit at all!

Autumn101 · 09/05/2019 09:40

9lb 3oz was in 0-3 straight away for about 4/6 weeks then 3-6 months

10lbs 15oz was wedged I to 0-3 for about 2 weeks until I accepted he was massive and put him in 3-6 months which fitted perfectly

Hellohah · 09/05/2019 09:46

DS was 9lb 5 when born - he was incredibly long. He had 0-3 months - they were baggy round the body but newborn were too short in the arms and legs.

spugzbunny · 09/05/2019 09:52

7lb 8 - she was in newborn for a couple of weeks and then up to 1 month stuff until she was about 6 weeks old. I didn't mind stuff being baby though - she looked comfy!

Faster · 09/05/2019 09:57

DS was 9lb 6 and I popped him straight into 0-3, everything was big on him but I’d not bought smaller and it didn’t matter anyway.

LittleAndOften · 09/05/2019 09:58

8lb 13, straight into 0-3 months. We had newborn outfits but they only lasted a week!

WhatALearningCurve · 09/05/2019 09:59

Born 7 lb 14. Was in newborn at first till about 5 weeks - then up to one month / first size. He was 9 weeks yesterday - reached 10lb ok Friday and is now in 0-3

beenhereages1 · 09/05/2019 10:01

DS1 - 8lb 5oz - 0-3 months. Had to return all newborn clothes, he was too long!

DS2- 7lb 5oz - tiny baby. Had to go and exchange newborn clothes for tiny baby!

RaspberryBubblegum · 09/05/2019 10:04

I was sure I'd have a larger baby. Was so shocked when the midwives told me she was 6lbs! I'm bringing a tiny baby outfit this time just incase as DD1 looked so drowned in the newborn clothes we'd brought with us 😅
