what size of clothes where your babies in?

what weight were your babies and what size of clothes did they fit dont know to take tiny baby or newborn.. mixture of both?

5lbs 14oz so newborn for 7-8 weeks. Baby clothing varies in size depending on retailer so cheaper shops the clothes tend to be for shorter/smaller babies.

Personally I would hope people give and lend you those clothes as until they are moving they don't wear out.

9lb13 was in 0-1 straight off, newborn was too small on feet and legs.

7lb 15 and newborn size was a little big but ok.

8lb 0 and in newborn until 3 weeks, 0-3 months until 10 weeks.

I think it's more about length than weight though, until they are toddlers and in shorts or skirts where you would go by waist size.

7Ib 15oz- she fit comfortably in New Born.

7lb 9 and 8lb 5 both went straight into up to 1 month (due to length)

It’s worth noting that ‘newborn’ is different in different shops - some places newborn is up to 7lb 10oz (or thereabouts) but other places (eg. Mamas & Papas) newborn goes up to 10lb and therefore lasts a lot longer! By newborn I mean 0-1 month or 56cm.

DTs were 4lb-So in prem and tiny baby for a while. They only had sleepsuits that fit till they were in newborn, no proper clothes.

I wouldn’t buy tiny baby unless you think the baby will be Small, it doesn’t really matter if stuff is a bit big to begin with.

My DTs were 6lb 6 and 7lb 3 and were in tiny baby for a couple of weeks, then pretty much followed the sizes thereafter, except DS skipped 3-6 months entirely.

I got most of their newborn stuff off of eBay, because I had no idea what size they’d be or when they’d arrive so had a massive selection ranging from premature baby size upwards.

6lb something and 7lb something babies. Both in newborn for about a month and then 0-3.

I found Next newborn clothes got too small almost immediately however as their feet and leg lengths are very small.
