@Rotorua welcome! Lovely you've had an early scan. Does your midwife know you'll be 12 weeks when you see her? Hopefully she can fast track your scan!

@Mintypea5 thanks! :) I tried calling them, but they said it’s the earliest they can see me. And on the letter it says that I shouldn’t try to rebook my appointment because some tests will be done that can only be done between 11 and 13 weeks.
Just have to be patient I guess, it’s so difficult at this stage :D

@Rotorua I've got my booking in next Friday I'll be 12+4 but my midwife did my scan paperwork over the phone so I wouldn't miss out on the time frame for the scan(apparently my area is super busy 😬)

Hi ladies, I’d love to joinGrin I’m due on the 1st, and am 12+5, I have my 12 weeks scan today. I’m a bit nervous now, as it finally means we can tell all our family and we aren’t sure if they will take it well. I’m also nervous in case things aren’t exactly to plan, so wanted to join here and get some support. This is my second DC

@Mintypea5 DH and I settled down quite young, my parents are fine with it but DH’s family wanted him to sow his seeds a little bit. It’s only really SIL and FIL who wouldn’t take it the best, but they’re quite possessive over DH and don’t like that me and our DS spend more time with him. We don’t see them very often because of it

@Pollypocket5 All went really well. Chatted to the midwife and had an internal scan. Baby is perfect and was wriggling away. She couldn't see a reason for the spotting and said not to worry, everything looks perfectly healthy.

She also said as soon as she could see the baby and the heartbeat which I found so helpful. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes.

So this is my Smudge at 10+3 - good luck tomorrow.

@RainhRosie I’m so glad it went well and everything is ok!
The sonographer took ages to say anything at my early scan and it made me so nervous! I just kept staring at her face trying to see if she looked worried or sad!
What a lovely picture. Smudge 😂

@ACuppaSolvesEverything I was so worried she was going to do that but she literally told me within second. Such a relief.

Smudge stuck after a scan at 7 weeks 😂 I think it's a family thing. My nickname when my mum was pregnant was Squib and my dad still calls me it 🙄 even though I'm fast approaching 30.

@RainhamRosie aww that's lovely. So glad it went well and has made me feel a little more at ease. My spotting has stopped today but I'm hoping they will still scan me.

Did they do any other tests or just the scan?

My epu always have even if it's stopped

I feel like I'm about to die from exhaustion today! My 10 month old was awake every hour last night and today is my day off to spend with him so it's been soooo full on!

@Pollypocket5 I hadn't had any spotting today but they still scanned me. They didn't do any other tests. Just a feel of my abdomen before the scan and a quick chat.

Glad all the scans went well today! Got my booking in appt tomo at 10 weeks two days. Hope it's not too late to book a 12 week scan in!

Family took it a lot better than expected, they’re all very excited!. 4 weeks to go until we find out if we have a little man or a little lady on the way!.

@Sunshineface123 you should be fine! Most areas do booking in between 8-10 weeks.
