Presumably you’d have to pay for the harmony test? I think they only offer us the basic tests unless something is flagged as being a concern.

Pollypocket5 · 13/03/2019 08:52

Good morning,

@Mintypea5 let me know if you start a FB page that would be ace a bit easier to navigate

ally62442 · 13/03/2019 09:30

@tigsyboo with my first baby I had an internal scan at 5+5. Never heard anything about it causing miscarriage. I don't understand how it would.

Mintypea5 · 13/03/2019 09:31

@Marty77 this one was already set up. It’s ancloses group so it doesn’t seem visible on your profile

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 13/03/2019 09:34

Thank you MrsPMT - I’ve been taken off the list twice now Grin. Thanks for adding me again!

thumper59 · 13/03/2019 09:40

I had a tiny tiny amount of tea brown discharge this morning. I know it can be common should I ring the docs or am I just being silly? First bit of odd coloured discharge I've had so it's worried me slightly.

Mintypea5 · 13/03/2019 09:51

@thumper59 if you’re worried I’d always say call your GP. They can refer you to the epu. How many weeks are you? It’s akesys scary when anything like that happens!

thumper59 · 13/03/2019 09:56

@Mintypea5 I'm 6+2. Not had that so far, have a bit of 'something' in my stomach. It's not cramping and it isn't painful it just feels active. I might just give them a call, put my mind at ease

Pollypocket5 · 13/03/2019 10:01

Please could I have a bit of advise. I did a clear blue test last Thursday and it said 2-3 weeks. My app is saying I'm now 5.5 weeks today. I did another test this morning and it's still saying 2-3 weeks.

Should the test have increased by now?

tigsyboo · 13/03/2019 10:02

I know I'm probably being daft
I was googling what to expect at 7 week scan and a thread came up about tv scans and miscarriages. There was as many people saying don't be daft as saying it was linked but it started my brain....

QforCucumber · 13/03/2019 10:05

I'm in too. popped onto the last thread but it got away from me.

Age 32. Baby Number 2. Due 4th Nov

QforCucumber · 13/03/2019 10:07

Polly the tests are notoriously inaccurate, I've never bothered with them except to show DH the Word PREGNANT otherwise he'd just be like 'what does a line mean?'

Mintypea5 · 13/03/2019 10:16

@thumper59 give them a call to put you at ease. I find early pregnacy so confusing and stressful because you feel so many things and think is it normal?!

@Pollypocket5 personally I hate those tests they drive women crazy trying to get a 3+ for reassurance but in fact they’re not that accurate! With my last pregnancy I never got past 2-3 weeks and my 8.5 month old is currently sat in front of me. My firsts ever oregancy I got a 3+ and miscarried at 11 weeks.

I’d also say personally I don’t think those test (or any) are a good way to track health of pregnancy. If you’re anxious butbdont have any obvious symptoms of something the epu will see you for (like spotting or pain) I’d suggest getting a private reassurance scan at about 7/8 weeks. Groupon usually have lots of deals xx

Pollypocket5 · 13/03/2019 10:22

Thankyou ladies, I think I'm just finding everything surreal. I had a CP in November so just a bit worried this time round.

I have a scan booked for the 24th so fingers crossed everything's ok.

Mintypea5 · 13/03/2019 10:28

@Pollypocket5 I totally understand! I’ve had 3 miscarriages and even with my last baby I had a few bleeds pre 12 weeks then a major one at 14 and continued to have issues that whole pregnancy. I was terrified every day worrying and anxious. It’s a really difficult time especially if you’ve previous suffered losses.
Hope the scan goes well! That’s my DS1 birthday so a very lucky day. 😁

thumper59 · 13/03/2019 10:35

@Mintypea5 it is confusing. Just been to toilet again and nothing there was back to normal- I'll give it today as I think they'll say it's normal unless painful cramping/red blood. That seems the usual. Yeah I have a scan booked for 8 weeks but it feels ages away 😫 so horrible when you just don't know what's right and what's not

Pollypocket5 · 13/03/2019 10:40

@Mintypea5 Thankyou for making me feel like I'm not a paranoid mess.

When is morning sickness suppose to start?

Knickersononeshead · 13/03/2019 10:42

@pollypocket5 some women don't get morning sickness at all. I didn't get it with any of my pregnancies but seem to be making up for it this time round

Littleseed · 13/03/2019 10:47

Thanks @Bean1987, I hope so too!
I've made a note of (hopefully) everything to ask.

Mintypea5 · 13/03/2019 10:48

@Pollypocket5 I’ve never had morning sickness! I’ve been a bit nauseas this time at about 4 weeks but that might have been stress because I had some spotting and got very anxious. I think for most people it kicks in around 6 weeks due to hormones changing.

@thumper59 I had similar last week. A day or two with some inconsistent brown spotting and then it stopped. Which I’m hoping is a good sign, my epu have previously told me it’s normal (although no one really tells us this!) to have some light spotting in early pregnancy. As long as you’re not in pain/ it’s not red/ filling a pad. Rest up easy if you can xx

Littleseed · 13/03/2019 10:53

Hi @amehh

That's great you've had your booking in appointment. Smile
Wow, the sessions are actually long then!
What else did they do?
So they take bloods during this session too then.
Salty things can help bring your BP up. Maybe you can have some olives or salted peanuts?

workinprogressmum · 13/03/2019 10:55

Got my bfp today!
