Oh no @Mintypea5 Sad poor baby! Poor you! I've been weeing all day today too, so I feel for you there too.
I hope baby has managed to fall asleep and that you made it to the loo in time!
Did they give you some saline / drops for baby?
Get well soon little one. xx

Littleseed · 21/03/2019 21:46

Aww, so glad to hear that @TrashKitten10! Sounds like a lovely car ride plan there and so happy it helped! Flowers

Nearly tomorrow now thankfully, though I've got all the shaving to do in the morning still haha. I couldn't be bothered today. Come 6pm and I am literally ready for bed. Fatigue hits full force.
Thankfully, I haven't had pain with it, though my back is a bit sore at the moment, but hopefully that's just the usual. Flowers I did have some cramping earlier, but it felt like the cramping I was getting shortly after BFP.

MindyMoonstone · 21/03/2019 23:06

@swt123 I thought it would be too early too!! I’m very suprised at how hard my tummy is (low down by the bladder) and the symptoms I’ve already had. Bless you, it is the most exciting and scary feeling rolled into one.

Girls, anyone else get hormonal/emotional early?

I just filled a bottle of water for bed and dropped it and spilt half on the floor. Burst into tears, like sobbing!!! OH kindly gave me a cuddle then cleaned it up, then sat with me and I started crying again. He said what’s wrong why are you crying? And I told him I’m crying because my eyes hurt 😂😂😂 what is wrong with me

swt123 · 21/03/2019 23:11

@MindyMoonstone I’ve not been particularly emotional but I think it’s super common! Glad your OH is being so supportive 😊 When do you think your due date is?

brighteye3986 · 22/03/2019 05:03

I've not been on much but wanted to update... I had my scan yesterday at 7+3 and everything is going well. Baby's heart was flickering fast on the screen and everything is where it should be. I'm so happy.

MindyMoonstone · 22/03/2019 07:18

@swt123 honestly felt like a mad woman, i felt so sad for about 15 mins then fine again!!! 😂
My 40 weeks would be 26th November, so I might join a December thread too in case it’s a late little one!
When is yours?

I just weighed myself this morning (I’ve been steadily losing 😊) and I’ve put on 3 pounds in a week. Confused Granted, I normally do two extreme cardio sessions that I haven’t done these last two weeks (can’t get there, cars broken down) but I’m probably going to have to stop doing it anyway now right? I’m mortified I’ve swelled up so much Blush

MindyMoonstone · 22/03/2019 07:59

Awwww @brighteye3986 that’s fabulous news, very pleased for you!!! X

tigsyboo · 22/03/2019 08:30

Brighteye that's brilliant
Did they give you any measurements? X

cakeordeath89 · 22/03/2019 08:54

@MindyMoonstone Can definitely relate on the emotional front... I'm normally not a crier but last night I was properly sobbing over a Disney film! I knew it was ridiculous so ended laughing and crying at the same time.
I did look into the whole exercise thing and as long as it's something you've previously done rather than randomly taking up heavy duty workouts, it should be fine. I'm down to do two 10 k runs (one in May and one in June) so now I've got a decision to make!

MindyMoonstone · 22/03/2019 09:26

@cakeordeath89 that’s hilarious, I bet you thought you were going mad laughing and crying! 😂

That’s good to know, the classes I do (twice a week) are boogie bounce! Absolutely adore it, so much fun, but I am worried about the jumping up and down now like, what if I lose my balance? I donhave the trampoline at home so could do some shorter toned down versions I suppose!

Wow 2 10ks!! That will be hard going with a passenger! Are you thinking of doing both? If you’re a keen runner I think I’d be tempted to do the earlier one and knock it on the head in June or just jog?

We are going to a family holiday in Butlins in August, and whilst joking around with my family yesterday realised I am certainly not going to be running round with a target on, playing laser tag at that point am I Blush

cakeordeath89 · 22/03/2019 09:33

@MindyMoonstone To give myself some credit, it was Coco which IS really sad and happy at the end.
I suppose if you aren't sure given the nature of the exercise it might be worth to just reduce it to ligher, less impact exercise although I don't know how it would be any different to running?
I know, I do at least 2 every every year (although I'm not fast!). I think you're probably right. The 2nd one is as Cancer Research one so I'd feel bad for anybody that has already donated to my giving page although I might be able to swap that one to a 5k if I email the organisers.
Oh dear! Probably not a great idea, although perhaps you could say you'll join in but nobody is allowed to hit you, haha - you get all the fun without the pain!

We're booked to go to Menorca in August - not sure how I feel about flying by then but trouble is we have to make the payment in April so will have to speak to the travel agents about how it works.

Unsureursula · 22/03/2019 09:45

Hello all! Just on way back from scan dated at 6wks 6days. All looks good and little heart was flicking away on the screen! Feel much better but obviously still a long way to go so trying not to get too excited!

cakeordeath89 · 22/03/2019 09:46

@Unsureursula Wonderful news - happy healthy heartbeat :)

thumper59 · 22/03/2019 09:48

Morning all. Hope your well! Symptom city over here for me today. Very nauseous and headachey. A week today till my scan I'm so nervous/excited. I'll be 8+4 then :) can't wait to see the little bean! Also got our booking in appointment Tuesday so I think then things will start feeling real, oh and I've had a real bad aversion to lasagne. The sheer smell of it had me dry heaving over the sink yesterday!

cakeordeath89 · 22/03/2019 09:56

@thumper59 It's daft how relieved I feel to have symptoms again today - headache back with a vengeance. Sorry to hear about the lasagne aversion :(
It's always nice to feel like you've got dates and progress to look forward to. Good luck with the booking in appointment - hope everything goes well.

thumper59 · 22/03/2019 09:58

@cakeordeath89 Thankyou. It's mad isn't it, mine always seem to be like background symptoms. Other then tiredness so far nothing has really knocked me for 6, I'm trying to carry on as usual though so nobody at work suspects anything if they knew maybe I'd of had a sick day by now 😂
I also read somewhere that pre natal vitamins can lessen symptoms; I don't know how much truth is in that though! I'll just be relieved to know everything is fine in there!

cakeordeath89 · 22/03/2019 10:04

@thumper59 Yeah, I've not really had anything major. Headaches has been my primary one, with really light nausea when I've not eaten. Boobs aren't really sore anymore which worried me slightly but trying to keep focused on how symptoms can come and go.
I take Folic acid every day and have just started taking Vitamin D so perhaps there's some truth in it...
I'm feeling impatient for my booking in appointment letter so it will feel more real.

Unsureursula · 22/03/2019 10:28

Thanks cakeordeath89! Hopefully you get your appt soon!

rharri91 · 22/03/2019 10:49

Just wanted to say a big thank you, my OH thought I was being impatient wanting to pay for an early scan (tbf I'm really not known for my patience) so I showed how many of you ladies were having them done and he APOLOGISED to me, whaaaaat! I'm 6+5 rn so dragging it out until 8 weeks and getting one booked in, woohoo! Thanks!

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 22/03/2019 10:59

Cakeordeath - I’m supposed to do a 10k in May too. I’m really nervous as I’m struggling to even run 5k at the minute. I don’t teally want to pull out though as I have had to cancel a few races over the past few years because of pregnancy/illness. I’m very worried about how to get my fitness up to do it though Sad.

As for Menorca, how many weeks will you be? You’re probably fine (especially if, say, it’s early Aug and you’re due late Nov) but just double check the airline will let you fly! I’m going to have to fly long haul around 29 weeks, so I’ll probably have to get doctors notes and all sorts Sad. Oh, and sort out insurance for me (and the baby?!) for if something happens en route Confused.

cakeordeath89 · 22/03/2019 11:05

@TheGruffalosLoveChild The 10k in May is the one that I love doing every year, and it normally sells out in minutes as it's so popular. It shouldn't be too difficult to transfer it but I'd really love to be run it. It's a few days before my 30th birthday so I was looking forward to it being my last 10k in my twenties!

I'm not 100% on my dates but I think I'll be around 26 weeks as it's early to mid August. I do not envy you the long haul flight at 29 weeks. I know my OH is worrying more about what if something happens, so we'll have to check that the insurance covers all eventualities or whether we'll need to pay for more advanced cover. I'm really not sure how it works :(

Lozzlepop · 22/03/2019 11:08

Sorry ladies I am just catching up on posts now so apologies for the essay!

@Nowthenforever2019 thank you, I don't really drink coffee and I don't find any difference in the taste of decaf tea which I was used to drinking in the evening anyway so not too bad. We never have chocolate in our house thankfully ☺️

@Yeoooooooo glad to hear that all is well, must be a massive weight off your mind

@TrashKitten10 hello lovely I am the same, would like the option to have a little glass of Fizz if I choose, but all in for the cheeseboard. Already told the OH once I give birth I want a rare steak, a glass of red and some cheese lol! I have felt nauseous on and off for a few days, feeling better today but starting to get sore boobs, otherwise I would just think its a normal week in my cycle.

@thumper59 no I haven't noticed any extra hair yet, but some luscious locks would deffo be a bonus lol

@Aph413 oh good on you, don't think I would be able to clean up an adult poo at the best of times! I am glad I get to pass on cat litter duties to the OH eventually!

@cakeordeath89 I know its hard but try not to google as you will only out the fear into yourself. Ive not had much in the way of symptoms either, it is quite a surreal time isn't as our partners don't really know what we are feeling and the emotions we feel

@Cbeebies89 I think its only natural to be anxious at this stage, when you think about it 12 weeks is a long time to wait, I am deffo thinking of booking in a private scan at about week 8 to check all is ok.

@PrayingandHoping congratulations, thats amazing, must be a relief to know ☺️

@fanfan18 welcome and congratulations, we are quite close my EDD is 27/11

@Mintypea5 oh a fb group sounds a fab idea!

@Rodgers2017 welcome and congrats, I got my BFP on Tuesday too I see @MindyMoonstone did aswell, what a lucky day!

@Bella1989 welcome and congrats its frustrating not been able to tell people, I am so thankful for this thread!

@TrashKitten10 I am dreading the commute in month to come, car journey of approx 35-55 mins then 30 mins on a tram then a 15 min walk- I get car sick normally anyways

@MindyMoonstone I am still going to the gym, it is fine if you are used to doing exercise, I think you have to watch more later on when you may struggle with balance etc.

@Unsureursula fantastic news you must be so pleased

@thumper59 how exciting thats not long to wait at all!

Has anyone had to fib to friends yet? I am staying with my friend next weekend- its been planned for a while and due to them both having kids its difficult to pin down a date. I have a baby shower during the day and am getting the train to my friends how can I come up with a good excuse for not drinking? Answers on a postcard please 😂

cakeordeath89 · 22/03/2019 11:20

@Lozzlepop Have you recently posted any photos of you drinking on social media? Perhaps you could blag that you've given it up for Lent?! Unless you're not religious obviously... although to be fair I'm not and I've still given up Nutella/Nutoka.

I'm staying clear of google now and sticking to just this thread as I've found it so reassuring to know that so many people are having the same experiences and feelings, it really is a help.

Lozzlepop · 22/03/2019 11:24

@cakeordeath89 they know I was out 2 weeks ago and was suffering the next day at work because of it (as it turns out we conceived near this date lol) but unfortunately I am not religious, I don't know if I should just tell them as they both told me their news well before 12 weeks or be cautious and make something up? 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yeah thats a good plan, as good as google can be you end up self diagnosing yourself with all sorts

cakeordeath89 · 22/03/2019 11:27

@Lozzlepop Hmmm another alternative would be that you're on some medication that means you can't but then that could open another can of worms... perhaps if they told you fairly early then you could tell them but it has to be on your terms :)
