@eltzbee I think all the stuff in leaflets/NHS sounds worse. I didn’t end up having it but my mum does so was something I spoke to my midwife about in booking appointment and she wasn’t worried at all. You’ll definetely feel more at ease once you speak to someone like your midwife about it xx

@canonlyhopexo have you had a water infection before? It is so painful! So wouldn’t be surprised if it was that at all, hopefully the doctors will sort you right out x

EltzBee · 04/03/2019 11:48

@canonlyhopexo ah bless you; they should be able to tell from a wee-sample if it's an infection (try and drink some water so you can 'go' if they need you to!). Bless you. Like @sunshine1987 said, water infections are honestly so, so painful! Let us know how you get on, try not to stress out too much hun.

@sunshine1987 ah thanks, I asked my Mum but she had no idea what it was about! My DH is a negative blood group, so I'm wondering if theoretically our Bean is more likely to be negative anyway so not a problem. But injections if need be! I'm definitely a pin cushion, lol.

Needed to buy some more pregnancy vitamins this weekend as was running down to the last few days; I had the 'pregnacare' ones before, but have bought the Boots own brand pregnancy ones this time. Bizarrely they do have different quantities or some things in, but the 'essentials' folic acid and vitamin D are the same, and as thats the ones the NHS talks about actually needing, figured they'd be fine too :)

sunshine1987 · 04/03/2019 12:53

@eltzbee oh if you’re both negative you can’t have a positive blood type baby! x

EltzBee · 04/03/2019 13:33

@sunshine1987 fingers crossed then! We're assuming that's what the negative in his blood type means anyway?!

sunshine1987 · 04/03/2019 13:44

@eltzbee yep, two negative blood types can only ever make a negative blood type baby, it’s only if your husband had a positive blood type that you’d have either a positive or negative if you were negative x

Cookie0508 · 04/03/2019 13:56

Hoping everything's OK @canonlyhopexo hopefully they can sort it for you xx

EltzBee · 04/03/2019 14:13

That's reassuring then! Thank you @sunshine1987. The blood test they do then should just confirm that :D I didn't know what my blood type was (still don't know what 'group', just that it's the D negative thing), but DH gives blood so knew his.

canonlyhopexo · 04/03/2019 16:50

Thank you everyone for your kind words. No water infection found the doctors didn't think it is that but are sending my little pot off for checking just in case. They referred me to triage at the hospital and they were really good and reassured me my symptoms all sound normal and are probably round ligament pains so to take things easy!

Delilah7 · 04/03/2019 17:16

Any one else suffering from pelvic girdle pain or SPD? Just been diagnosed with it. I have the worlds most smallest bump at 21 weeks so it's just gonna get worse. Might even have to get signed off again. Being sent for physio :( x

GemmaJen · 04/03/2019 18:36

12w scan today, we had the loveliest sonographer, she found the heartbeat straight away. Little one slept through most of the scan, but had a bit if a kick about while we were looking at their suprisingly large feet 😁 Measuring slightly ahead so dd now changed to Friday the 13th September 🙈

Very relieved, I can't quite believe we're past 12 weeks ☺️

@gemmajen aw lovely so happy it went well xx

canonlyhopexo · 04/03/2019 19:05

@Delilah7 oh no Hun I've heard that is really painful. I'm only at 17+3 and I've got so many aches and pains so do sympathise. Hope you find something that can semi relieve the pain somehow 😘 xx

canonlyhopexo · 04/03/2019 19:05

@GemmaJen yay beaut pic hun that's lovely. My dates got changed too lol! Won't be long and you'll be feeling those little teeny flutters of baby xx

Delilah7 · 04/03/2019 19:30

@canonlyhopexo it really is 😔
do you think I'm being unreasonable. I've got a trip to Scotland on plane this month with work due to some training ( not vital as far as I'm aware ). I will have to be in work for 10am which is a lay in compared to my normal 8am, however, I'll need to work till 6 then go have dinner at airport, sit around till plane at 9, sit on an uncomfortable aeroplane and then sit in a cab until we get to the hotel at 11 ish.
I don't want to go but scared I'll be made to. 😔 I have no bump and it's painful already so I dread to think what a few weeks will do. Xx

canonlyhopexo · 04/03/2019 19:36

@Delilah7 I don't think your BU at all. I'm guessing it's not something you could do last minute if you're feeling ok with needing to book flights etc but maybe just suggest that to show willing if you're worried about it but I'd just get a note from your dr to say unfit to travel xx

Delilah7 · 04/03/2019 19:59

@canonlyhopexo they know I'd love to go which is good but I can only imagine and have been told SPD will get worse :( xxx

EltzBee · 04/03/2019 22:35

@Delilah7 I'd say you can't go if it were me! I've told my work I'm not available to travel for meetings; mine and beans health comes first! I don't know how some ladies manage, I guess it depends how difficult the pregnancy is as everyone is different! Do what is right for you - dealing with airports and flights is stressful and uncomfortable at the best of times.

Delilah7 · 05/03/2019 10:58

Sent them a professional email so fingers crossed they will let me stay off the training course. I'm in work today and aching like mad :( I'm so much pain

EltzBee · 05/03/2019 12:03

@Delilah7 oh bless you, doesn't sound good at all!
Have you officially notified them in writing of your pregnancy? Once you have, they're meant to do a risk assessment for your role so you could flag that this would exacerbate a pregnancy related illness...Fingers crossed they're nice about it and don't make you go! I've told my boss I'm not available to travel, including to London which isn't hugely far, just because it takes it out of me too much and makes me so unwell for days after due to the toll it takes. They were fine with that so hopefully yours will be too.

Delilah7 · 05/03/2019 12:11

@EltzBee I notified them very early due to miscarriage hat happened in August so they've known since October lol. Xx

EltzBee · 05/03/2019 12:27

@Delilah7 fair enough; I'd tell them you don't feel you can go without it making your current health problem worse! They have a duty of care. You come first hun! We shouldn't feel guilty when we say we can't do something because we know it'll make us feel bloody awful if we do. Can't imagine a man feeling guilty lol.

Delilah7 · 05/03/2019 12:28

@EltzBee bloody annoying isn't it. Just hate it here. Can't wait for little Ethan to be here and me to just have him and my OH to keep happy 😂

EltzBee · 05/03/2019 12:30

@Delilah7 oh it really is! Do what's right for you, and if anyone has the cheek to say otherwise tell them where to put their opinion LOL.

stormtrooperjulian · 05/03/2019 14:00

@GemmaJen so happy your scan went well, must be such a relief! 2 weeks til mine and I’m already starting to worry a bit.

@Delilah7 that was probably the best thing to do, you’ve got to put your health first

For the past couple of days I’ve actually felt almost normal, for the first time in weeks! It’s so nice to have some energy back. Managed to do a proper workout at the gym this morning, and I helped DH cook dinner last night instead of lying on the sofa doing nothing all evening. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come and I’ll stay feeling good through the second trimester!

EltzBee · 05/03/2019 14:07

@stormtrooperjulian fingers crossed you stay feeling good! I woke up today and it was the first time I've woken up feeling like I didn't need to fall back asleep too, which was fab. Had a couple of flashes of nausea still though. Yday I was shattered so I'm guessing (hoping!) it's improving now I'm in Trimester 2 as well!!

@GemmaJen lovely scan pic!
