Currently 35 weeks and am really feeling it. Pregnancy is SO HARD. Lol. I keep making myself chuckle about the funny but awful things that no one tells you.

I thought we could cheer each other up with our 'no one tells you that...'.

My start.

No one tells you that wiping your bum becomes an Olympic sport.

No one tells you about trapped wind (20 weeks!)...!

AnneLovesGilbert · 21/01/2019 20:32

I’ve grown a fur coat over my belly. Grown quite fond of it now.

My skin is so dry I’m using cracked heel cream on my cheeks at night.

E20mom · 21/01/2019 20:34

That AFTER giving birth my feet would go up a shoe size and wouldn't go back to their normal size for 12 months!

Ahhhmebowels · 21/01/2019 20:38

Just how ridiculously big your boobs look when your not wearing clothes

Sexnotgender · 21/01/2019 20:39

Lying on your side is excruciating, your hips feel like they are on fire. But surprise you can’t lie on your back so suck it up!

Sexnotgender · 21/01/2019 20:40

Your nipples will expand so they can be seen from space.

Gobletoffire · 21/01/2019 20:41

You’ll wee when you sneeze.

MrsRyan15 · 21/01/2019 20:44

Following, currently 12 weeks interested to a useful heads up!!

Sexnotgender · 21/01/2019 20:45

Piles, that was a lovely surprise.

Grumpos · 21/01/2019 20:47

The size my feet would be by the end.... I was wearing my partners huge sports sliders by the time I was due.

sadkoala · 21/01/2019 20:47

You will probably leak from your nipples before the baby is even here. Especially if you're lying on your side i.e. putting pressure on one of the boobs effectively causing your partner to wake up in the morning lying in a small wet patch 🤮

The itchy belly!!!

Also no one tells you you will also have middle of the night surprise calf cramps painful to the point of unintentionally grabbing onto the nearest thing and digging your nails into it to offset the pain - sorry DP!

You might feel constantly on the verge of being sick for the first trimester but never actually being sick IYKWIM.

You will want to sleep for days.

Sexnotgender · 21/01/2019 20:48

I’m living in my uggs as my feet are swollen. Thankfully they’re not too bad and I’m 40+2 so not too long to go.

Shahlalala · 21/01/2019 20:51

The second pregnancy is not nice just because the first one was....

You feel sick and exhausted but it’s a big secret and nobody can know why or be supportive. Not having a good first trimester here.

Later on... the look of shock from DH at the sheer bump size when dressing/undressing.

jbee1979 · 21/01/2019 20:51

That you'll wear tena pads because you've pee-d yourself too many times for comfort, and once you know it's pee and not your waters breaking, you'll be mortified that you told people you think you might be nearly ready to give birth.

Nothisispatrick · 21/01/2019 20:52

That AFTER giving birth my feet would go up a shoe size and wouldn't go back to their normal size for 12 months!

SAME! A massive PITA as I don’t want to buy new shoes only for them not to fit in a few months.

doodlejump1980 · 21/01/2019 20:52

The night sweats after (well that fluid has to go somewhere!)
That if you have a lot of fluid and are quite puffy with it, then they have to use an 11cm epidural needle. But they’ll try with two 8cm needles first and your DH will faint watching it. Wish someone had told me. 🙉
Oh and buy more maternity pads than you’ll ever think you’ll need. If you have twins, a double placental site means you will bleed for 12 weeks after the birth. TMI? Sorry!

ChocolateChipMuffin2016 · 21/01/2019 20:53

Constipation so bad that you might think you are actually going to accidentally push the baby out!

snoopy18 · 21/01/2019 20:54

Dreading night time because you know you have a loooong uncomfy night ahead of you tossing and turning cause you can’t get comfortable Confused what a relief it is to be awake!

PatMustardsBigTool · 21/01/2019 20:54

Being sick while simultaneously pissing myself every single morning - a fun surprise for the entire duration of my second pregnancy!

aetw · 21/01/2019 20:54

Metallic taste in your mouth and morning sickness is all day!
Pain in your hips past 30 weeks and the amount of pillows you will require to sleep!
Sex needing to be a planned operation!!!

39Suzy · 21/01/2019 20:54

My friend's nose grew noticable wider...😂

So far so good with my nose although my pelvic floor is putting up a bloody good fight against its daily exercise routine so much so that i have given in and started using incontinence pads 🙈 (28 weeks)

bellajay · 21/01/2019 20:55

You’ll need to change your pillowcase daily because you’ll drool uncontrollably for nine straight months.

Brushing your teeth will make you gag.

The sight of a green smoothie will bring you to tears for no good reason at all.

student26 · 21/01/2019 20:58

That you might get PUPPS and be dreaming about scratching your skin off with a razor to stop the itch. I ended up spraying calamine lotion out of a spray bottle just to ease it! And it was EVERYWHERE!

clairehr · 21/01/2019 21:00

No one tells you that going for a poo at 36 weeks feels like you're going to birth the baby right there in the toilet 😂🙈 oh the shame!

Nessiej78 · 21/01/2019 21:01

That morning sickness could last for more than just the 1st trimester. Every. Single.day! And it's not just the morning either Shock
