Hello. I thought I'd start a thread for anyone that has had the good news that they are due October 2019. We can go through these looong early weeks together.

I'm 33, first pregnancy
Cycle 6
Currently cycle day 21/12 doo. First BFP at 10 dpo.

I am now testing daily to see if my BFPs are getting stronger. Also still checking temps. Anyone else feel like they have to tip toe around at this stage as everything seems so fragile?

Just got my BFP after what I'm guessing was some implantation spotting yesterday, 2-3 days before AF due. Think my EDD is something like 25 October. Completely in shock Shock. I have 2 DCs, 9 and 4 with 1 MC in between. Never had implantation spotting before - has anyone else had it here? Slightly freaked out by it, but it seems to have stopped now and was very light. I'm in Sydney until later in the year and my 2 DCs were born in the UK - I have no idea how to go about things here, it's all confusing with public/private etc... I really miss the NHS! Wishing everyone here a very healthy 9 months!! Smile

@Nextchapter19 that's definitely not a bad sign though! Any history of twins in your family!! X

womaninkent · 13/02/2019 07:59

@frizzy1986 i’ve had some rib pain too. Glad it’s not just me-I thought it was a weird one!

birchwoods · 13/02/2019 09:12

@faelavie there's another online calculator, I think it's baby Centre, where you can calculate according to your cycle length. Your dates are prob more accurate as if your cycle is longer you most likely ovulated later than day 14, so conception date would be later than the one estimated from the first day if your cycle.

Woolly17 · 13/02/2019 09:20

Got a big fat pink positive line last week. I'm about 7 weeks pregnant. I can't quite believe it. This is a crazy surprise for me and my husband - it took many years to and ivf to conceive DD (19 months) so we didn't think this could happen naturally. I'm 41 and will be 42 when the little bean arrives (fingers crossed). Thrilled and scared in equal measure.

PostiveThinkingRainbow · 13/02/2019 13:49

@Woolly17 super happy to hear your news, especially after all the trials of having to have IVF the first time! Enjoy xxx

PostiveThinkingRainbow · 13/02/2019 13:50

@Rememberallball hope you got back to have your scan xx

coconutlatte44 · 13/02/2019 14:08

Hiya everyone!
Just found out yesterday and it's my first - estimated due date 23rd of October so exactly 4 weeks today. I'm 32.

I know nothing is guaranteed but feel surprisingly calm about it - it is in my body's hands now and whatever happens next happens!

Happy to be joining you all!

CosyNights · 13/02/2019 16:17

Found out yesterday that I'm 5 weeks pregnant, due in October 😁😁😁

CZFR · 13/02/2019 16:22

@coconutlatte44 I wish I was as calm as you! I feel like a nervous wreck! 😂
Congratulations to everyone! Xx

Ann88l · 13/02/2019 17:16

Is anyone getting daily headaches? I have them every day and then by about 2 a huge wave of exhaustion hits and I literally cannot function. Proving really difficult at work

pattyhoo · 13/02/2019 18:10

@Ann88l yes and I don't know what to do with myself!

Glitterandunicorns · 13/02/2019 18:44

@Ann88l I am your twin! The exhaustion is real!

Ann88l · 13/02/2019 18:53

@Glitterandunicorns @pattyhoo
I'm not getting any morning sickness but I am a walking Zombie Sad

AngeloMysterioso · 13/02/2019 19:06

Can I hop on the bus? Got my proper BFP today for DC1 Grin according to the NHS calculator I'm due on the 23rd October. Still a bit in shock!

Aaaaaah congrats @Rememberallball!!! They're going to love that story when they are older "we were in Bermuda when we found out there were two of you!"

DustyDoorframes · 13/02/2019 21:02

@Rememberallball oops your full name and DOB are showing on that pic- you might want to ask mumsnet hq to take it down for you...

Frizzy1986 · 13/02/2019 21:04

rememberallball how awesome. Huge congrats. You're going to have some fun!!
Have your symptoms been overly apparent?

I'm just hoping for 1 in there and I'll be happy. My mum is a twin, but I don't think it's genetic, think it's just a fluke twin situation, but it's always in the back of my mind.
I'm just feeling regular yuk atm though and more concerned that symptoms are dwindling.

MamaDane · 13/02/2019 21:10

@rememberallballl congratulations! Welcome to the twin club 😁🎉

CZFR · 13/02/2019 22:10

Congrats all the new joiners on the fab news!

Sunflower2801 · 13/02/2019 22:45

Rememberallball · 13/02/2019 23:53

Posted a long answer and lost it. Thanks for the heads up @DustyDoorframe - have reported other picture to HQ for removal. Have added a ‘doctored’ image sans data!!

Hi @CZFR, I’m 7 weeks tomorrow following IVF. We had 2x 5 day blasts transferred on January 16th and knew on the 23rd that we’d been successful. Blood test levels indicated it could be a twin pregnancy and today’s scan confirmed it.

@Frizzy1986, I’ve been symptomatic with crampy pains and sore breasts since about 3 days since the embryo transfer and added nausea about a week after. The last week we were bobbing along in the North Atlantic en route to Bermuda on a cruise and I really struggled with nausea and tiredness but some of that could have been sea sickness!!

Due October 2019
faelavie · 14/02/2019 07:57

@NextChapter19 Same happened to me, I was 1-2 weeks on the Friday and 3+ on the following Wednesday! I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm not being sick yet at 5 weeks, but I do feel exhausted, at work I am like a zombie which is difficult when I can't tell anyone why!

Nextchapter19 · 14/02/2019 08:09

@faelavie I know the feeling! Im a teacher/in a leasership role at school and its hard at the moment!!! Just feel but yucky really, and tired. Im holding in telling anyone but had to tell a friend in London as going this weekend for a good girly catch up and she suggested one of these afternoon prosecco brunches! Im so happy so holding it in for another 7 weeks will not be easy! But my DP and I both want to see that scan first!!! Luckily its half term next week so I can have some time to digest this pregnancy news really!
