Hello. I thought I'd start a thread for anyone that has had the good news that they are due October 2019. We can go through these looong early weeks together.

I'm 33, first pregnancy
Cycle 6
Currently cycle day 21/12 doo. First BFP at 10 dpo.

I am now testing daily to see if my BFPs are getting stronger. Also still checking temps. Anyone else feel like they have to tip toe around at this stage as everything seems so fragile?

@saffy347 vomited in my mouth whilst doing the food shop yesterday 😂👌 yeah it's pretty grim 😬 stopped at about 9 weeks for me last time xx

Womblove · 12/02/2019 14:44

Hi all so I have so much to catch up on... I could not log in for days!
Looks like we need an updated list!

I am 7 weeks now and sick as a dog 24 hours a day!!!!! ARGGGHHH!

Currently on the couch, so much to do but I just can't move!

I am also getting breathless when just talking sometimes!

Bought some seabands and remember took a few days last time to take the edge off so fingers crossed.

@saffy347 I am the same, I just don't know what I want nothing tastes nice! I am not actually razzing just feel like I will nonstop

amz92noza · 12/02/2019 14:44

im confused what weeks I am last period was 15th jan for only 4 days as I stopped pill in nov so had 34day after normal period in dec 20th for 5days then 27day after I had 4day period jan 15th so there not not lengths so should I book midwife appointment for booking and explain to her.there were few days out on last pregnancy lol

Dyra · 12/02/2019 17:47

@saffy347 I'm keeping the nausea at bay with salted popcorn. So tasty. Or failing that, nibbling a piece of plain bread. I think I just want carbs.... Heads up btw, you can see your full name and birth date on your scan.

Congrats to all our new joiners. So many!

7+4 now and still POAS.... Feel like a crazy person, but the anxiety is starting to increase. Coming up to the week where my MC started last time. Is the line still as dark? Are my symptoms slipping away? I should get an early scan I know, but so scared I might only see a 5 week sac with no heartbeat like last time, and then know what's coming, even if it hasn't started yet.

MamaDane · 12/02/2019 17:57

Hello to all of the new ones! Congrats on your pregnancies!

Do you guys have any suggestions for stomach acid in the throat and mouth? Nausea is already bad but now this is going on too. Asked a midwife and she suggested almonds (which apparently make me more nauseous), milk (helps while I drink it but is immediately bad after) and bananas (works the best but literally 5 minutes later it all starts over again)
I can't keep on eating, I feel so ill and already tired of this pregnancy. 😞 It just seems like September is so far away from now I will probably die in the meantime.
How do women do this? Multiple times even?

Sorry for always complaining, it's just really difficult.

MamaDane · 12/02/2019 17:58

@Dyra get an early scan, it's better finding out now than at 12 weeks if the pregnancy stopped at 5 weeks.
Also odds are higher that baby is doing fine and you should be able to see the little heartbeat

@Mamadane I know I should. Sad

My other issue with getting an early scan is that I work within the Gynae and Obstetrics theatre department (well, predominantly Obstetrics). So it'll be kind of hard keeping any negative results of an early scan quiet, as should I need a SMOM... Let's just say I will know every single person from anaesthesia to theatre to recovery. I told all my colleagues at 6 weeks last time (too excited and innocent), that when I did MC (fortunately natural, despite the time difference between baby stopping growing to bleeding), it devastated me. A less emotional answer is that I am doing a hell of a lot of shifts in the coming weeks and I'll feel bad for my colleagues if I wind up having to take sick leave when it's likely there is no cover available.

Ofc this is the pessimist in me talking. The tiny squished optimistic part of me knows it's all going to be fine, the correct size for gestation and a perfect little heartbeat.

Dyra · 12/02/2019 18:23

@Saffy347 I think you might need to request MNHQ to delete it for you.

Tryingforno2 · 12/02/2019 18:24

Any of you ladies who have more than one child could you please tell me at what stage you started to show with your second? Xx

MamaDane · 12/02/2019 18:30

@Dyra isn't it better that people know why you're upset in worst case scenario? Rather than hiding it all. There's no need for us women to be brave about this sort of thing. It was honestly nice that people knew about my last pregnancy even though it ended up a missed abortion, because then they knew why I was devastated.

Can't you get a private scan during your days off (weekends?) ?

Nextchapter19 · 12/02/2019 18:30

Hi can I join please? Im migrating over from a couple of TTC threads! Im 5 weeks pregnant tomorrow and found out last week! This is our first baby and Im 34. Feel so lucky as we concieved in the first cycle. Baby is due, according to online calculator, October 17th. I love Autumn so very happy to be having a baby at this time of year...change in seasons :) Im in school leadership and thought the stress of my job would hinder fertility so...everything crossed all goes well. I’m feeling okay, no morning sickness at all but very tired. Getting up at 5.30am mon-fri not helping! I have however put on 4 pounds in the last ten days!!!! I think its bloating, I generally just feel bloated! Congrats to everyone with a BFP in the thread!

Dyra · 12/02/2019 18:34

I'm very thick at times... A private scan would be perfect! Thanks! Grin

Nextchapter19 · 12/02/2019 18:37

SadieSue29 I’m due 17th so we are very close!

MamaDane · 12/02/2019 18:39

@NextChapter congratulations on the bfp!

@Dyra sure thing 😉

Nextchapter19 · 12/02/2019 18:40

@Faelavie we have the same due date!!! Im 34 and recently moved house too. Only registered with the new doctors yesterday-that was like reading avout myself minus the migraines!!

faelavie · 12/02/2019 20:29

@Nextchapter19 Midwife today calculated it as 15th Oct, but I think she's going off a 28 day cycle and mine are longer. Oh well!
Congrats on your move and a your pregnancy :D

CZFR · 12/02/2019 21:08

Hi everyone, rang my midwife after my BFP and got an appointment booked, will be when I would be slightly over 6weeks pregnant. Does anyone know if I can expect the midwife to do a scan or is it too soon? Sorry if it is a stupid question but this is my first pregnancy so all very new xx

Frizzy1986 · 12/02/2019 21:23

Congrats to all the newbies. I'm suffering from nausea but only been sick once. The thought of any food makes me feel so sick. Can't for the life of me remember if it was the same first time. I remember scoffing a lot of salt and vinegar squares though which were the only thing that took the edge off.
Beige foods have been my friend but then I overdid the pasta and (bleurgh I really feel I'm going to vom in my mouth)

@CZFR I wouldn't expect them to do a scan at all. It will likely be your booking, although seems a tad early. They go through your medical history, the dads medical history. Just a mass of questions. Unless there have been previous issues they don't scan until 11-13 ish weeks.

I'm getting some major lower rib pains at the moment. Really sharp on maybe the 3rd Rob from the bottom. Anyone else? Boobs have gone back hard again and I never thought I'd be relieved about such discomfort.
I'm desperate to tell some of my friends but the parents are visiting at the weekend and we're going to tell them (had to tell them on the phone last time) and then we have our Groupon scan next Thursday. I'll be 7+5 (I hope) and I've read a heartbeat at 6 weeks gives an 80% chance of continuing and 8 weeks has a 98% chance of continuing. Hopefully if I'm almost 8 weeks then it'll be a good chance of it going well.

Frizzy1986 · 12/02/2019 21:24

3rd rib haha not 3rd Rob lol

Tryingforno2 · 12/02/2019 21:27

@faelavie the length of your cycle doesn't matter when they are working out due dates it's just 40 weeks from the first day of your last period x

CZFR · 12/02/2019 22:14

@Frizzy1986 thank for the info!

I have a few bits of pain in my ribs and cramping but tbh my biggest symptom right now are my breast, feels like I have put 5lbs just in my bras 😂

faelavie · 12/02/2019 22:28

@Tryingforno2 - online calculators including NHS ask you to enter your cycle length and then they change the due date accordingly. So if I put 28 day cycle I get 15th October (midwife estimate) and if I put 30 day cycle I get 17th Oct (my original estimate). Hey ho!

Nextchapter19 · 12/02/2019 22:32

Has anyone use the clearblue digital tests? Last Wednesday it stated 1-2 weeks (post conception/ovulation), which was 10dpo for me. I took another tonight and its skipped out 2-3 weeks and jumped straight to 3+. Maybe levels of HCG are just increasing quickly?!
