Hello. I thought I'd start a thread for anyone that has had the good news that they are due October 2019. We can go through these looong early weeks together.

I'm 33, first pregnancy
Cycle 6
Currently cycle day 21/12 doo. First BFP at 10 dpo.

I am now testing daily to see if my BFPs are getting stronger. Also still checking temps. Anyone else feel like they have to tip toe around at this stage as everything seems so fragile?

I had my second scan today and the twins are doing well. We saw their little heartblinks 😍

Rememberallball · 11/02/2019 13:36

Our scan booked for tomorrow is in jeopardy because of poor weather meaning our arrival in Bermuda tomorrow morning is now expected not to happen till the afternoon. I’ve emailed the clinic and asked if they can change it to Wednesday. We’ve had a bad Atlantic crossing and I’ve been struggling with the combination of morning sickness and sea sickness - not actually being sick but nausea and dreadful headaches. Hopefully it can all be sorted so we don’t miss the scan and hopefully the weather will improve once we’re in Bermuda.

Glitterandunicorns · 11/02/2019 13:43

How exciting @MamaDane!

HJWT · 11/02/2019 14:07

Can I join ? 😁

Very shocked to find out at 7DPO I'm pregnant! Iv not missed AF yet but the lines are getting stronger 😄

PostiveThinkingRainbow · 11/02/2019 14:12

Hi Ladies,

Can I please join.
Just had a BFP 13 days past a 5 day transfer, completely thrilled but holding my breath as last cycle ended in chemical pregnancy.

I do not feel like I have any major symptoms apart from mild cramping every now and then.

Today I have lower back ache which I makes your mind wonder, its such a fragile time you can not drive yourself crazy!!

Rememberallball · 11/02/2019 14:33

Great to see you over here, @PositiveThinkingRainbow xx

HJWT · 11/02/2019 15:20

@PostiveThinkingRainbow Congrats 😁 xx

Hi everyone, can I I join? I'm 28 TTC #1 and just got a bfp last Thursday (only 7-8dpo so still so early! Scary). I had a MMC in October and have to admit I'm more worry now than anything else 😔 Especially as I'm still only 11-12 dpo (taken 5 tests so far 😂). Unsure whether to have the reassurance scan they offer to those who've had a previous mc - on the one hand I had a heart beat at 7 weeks last time and still lost it so I don't feel the scan would be that reassuring - on the other it would tell me if it's a molar pregnancy, ectopic or if it's already not viable which would mean I don't have to go through another 5 weeks happily thinking I'm pregnant when I'm not. Also if it isn't viable maybe I'd have a chance for medical management at that stage as last time at 12 weeks surgery was my only option and I don't want that multiple times due to the risk of Asherman's syndrome. I'm so sorry for word vomit and you must all think I'm absolutely crazy but just wondering if other people have any thoughts or similar situation! My crazy self has of course already convinced myself it's a molar pregnancy with a strong bfp only 7-8dpo 😫

@Glitterandunicorns Thank you! Fingers crossed!

Ann88l · 11/02/2019 18:10

@WingingIt09 yeah I had a MC in December. I just rang the EPU and they told me to come down. Was a little reassuring, they've also been able to book me in for a early scan next week too. Can your gp not refer you?

Frizzy1986 · 11/02/2019 18:53

Congrats random
It must be really worrying. I've not been in your position but maybe see if I can you can have a scan after 8 weeks. I know a MC is still possible but after 8 weeks and a heartbeat it really does drop massively. I think they say 98% will continue ok from this point. There are always going to be unfortunate people who make up that 2% but maybe it might relax you a little and be worth it.
We've got a groupon deal for a scan at 7+5
Would rather wait til 8 but timings mean it's the only day we can go without dd.

Dimblebimble · 11/02/2019 19:14

@Random2468 I could have written your post myself. Diagnosed with a mmc in October with surgical management in early November. Also saw a healthy heartbeat at 7.5 weeks. It's impossible not to worry, but I hope you have a sticky bean this time.

I would probably take a free reassurance scan on the nhs if it was offered (afaik it's not here, although I haven't notified the doctors surgery about the pregnancy this time, so not sure), but I wouldn't go privately again personally as I know it'll only ease my worries for a day or so.

Dimblebimble · 11/02/2019 19:18

P.s. when did you/ will you ladies inform the gp? I'm 6+3 but haven't told them yet. I feel like it will jinx things somehow. Also last time the receptionist congratulated me loudly on my pregnancy so the whole waiting room could hear and loudly presented me with a pregnancy pack. I was so annoyed at their lack of discretion that I'm really apprehensive about going back.

womaninkent · 11/02/2019 20:03

Hi. I got my bfp on Friday. First baby conceived after 2 and a half years of trying and one round of IVF. I’m exactly 5 weeks today, due 14th October. Not sure it’s really sunk in yet. Only symptoms are period type pains, sluggish digestion and being shattered, but the last one may be because every time I wake up in the night I need to go to the loo, and once i’ve got up to do that I can’t get back to sleep Hmm Congratulations to everyone!

pattyhoo · 11/02/2019 20:38

Hello everyone- I got my first BFP yesterday and I've done two more positive tests today. I still can't believe it's real!

It's very very early days at the moment so I am keeping the news between me and my DP but would love some support along the next few weeks. I don't want to jinx anything.

Natural cycles says I'm due 20th October x

welshgirl1980 · 11/02/2019 21:02

Hi everyone can I join please? I'm currently 5 + 1 week and due 13th October. It's been a very long road to get this far as we've been ttc for 8 years and after 4 previous failed ivf attempts and 1 early mc I'm finally pregnant on my 5th try and I can't quite believe it. I've got an early scan on the 23rd so praying we see a heartbeat. Congratulations to everyone else Smile xx

CaramelCluster · 11/02/2019 21:33

Hey Hey ladies may I please join also? Tentatively though it's bloody early days! I'm 31, baby #1 and got my BFP last Wednesday, AF was due either yesterday or today. Still hasn't quite sunk in yet, maybe it will soon.

Estimated DD: 23rd October

Glitterandunicorns · 11/02/2019 22:28

Congratulations and welcome to the new ladies!

CZFR · 11/02/2019 22:51

Hi all, hope it is okay to join! Had my first 'real' BFP on Saturday - had done one the Thursday before but it was sooo faint! And also did another one on Sunday which came back positive! I am sooo happy but also petrified. I am 26, this would be our first baby and this was our first month of trying (my implant was out on the 9th of Jan).. this all feels so crazy and unreal!
I am the only one that have this irrational fear of the test being a false negative?? I keep reading it is soooo unlikely but I just feel so nervous!
Sending good wishes to all, due date is on the 20th of October xx

@saffy347 it sounds like you're really suffering at the moment, and sorry to hear you were rushed in to hospital. You must've been so worried, but great to hear baby is doing well. I have heard that eating small amounts regularly can help the nausea, and someone has said ready salted crisps to me before! I wonder if that was a craving though!

Tryingforno2 · 12/02/2019 14:05

@saffy347 don't eat ginger biscuits they burn on the way back up 😬 x

@saffy347 sorry to hear you’re suffering. Have you tried fresh ginger tea?
