Hello. I thought I'd start a thread for anyone that has had the good news that they are due October 2019. We can go through these looong early weeks together.

I'm 33, first pregnancy
Cycle 6
Currently cycle day 21/12 doo. First BFP at 10 dpo.

I am now testing daily to see if my BFPs are getting stronger. Also still checking temps. Anyone else feel like they have to tip toe around at this stage as everything seems so fragile?

@SamStephens Sorry for your loss, hun. All the best with this pregnancy 💐

@MamaDane Sorry you feel so awful. Hope it gets better soon x x

@ScattyScot I'd been feeling thirsty too but I'm just recovered from a cold. I'm trying to keep hydrated bit it's soooo boring drinking water. My lips are drying out too. Wonder if it's the weather.

@Charlicat I had a cold when I got my BFP and had taken paracetamol. Not taking any meds at all if I can help it. Was gonna have Night Nurse to help me sleep but knocked that on the head straight away!!!

Updates from me I'm beginning to get really nervous about my scan on Saturday to the point where I feel like my symptoms are disappearing. Actually shitting it. Planning to POAS on Saturday morning before I go but don't know if I can wait that long. It feels like this is all one big mind-game. Been trying to keep busy but I'm procrastinating at work too. The maternity policy isn't very clear about the redundancy I'm most likely going to be facing in the summer. It's written to protect themselves more than me, it feels. I saw a lovely job I would have applied for but it's external and so no maternity pay. Desperate to find something decent internally for a continuation of pay. Can't seem to think straight at the moment. Just wanna go have my scan, hopefully see my little 🌈 bean 🤞🏼and then nail the job applications. DH's long term plan is to relocate to the country so it doesn't really matter what the job is like as it's only gonna be short term. These days are ticking past so slowly 😔

Congratulations and welcome to the Newbies!!! 🙌🏼 🙌🏼 🙌🏼

Hi,
I’m 5+1 I found on 26th January. This is our first baby! I’ve been vomiting, sore boobs, cramping, I had spotting the day after I found out but luckily nothing since. Super hormonal which poor husband has been on the end of! Based on last cycle current estimated due date is 7th Oct. If possible would I be able to be added to the Facebook group?

DustyDoorframes · 05/02/2019 15:36

@Snootie4Bear it's legislation which will protect you, not company policy! Are you a member of a union? If so talk to them, if not you may be able to talk to ACAS directly. You won't have any protection if work don't know yet but there are other advantages to go with keeping it quiet, especially if you are going for jobs internally. You need legal advice from an employment specialist. (Your home insurance May include some legal cover you could use?)

Snootie4Bear · 05/02/2019 15:41

@DustyDoorFrames Thanks so much for your perspective. My God. That really helps. Not member of a union or anything but need to look into it. Thanks for breaking it down. 🙏

BHillary · 05/02/2019 16:14

Is there a Facebook group ?? Grin

Bramble1983 · 05/02/2019 18:38

I’d love to join if that’s okay.

I’m 35 and this will be baby #1 for us- after 18 months of trying and our first IVF cycle.

I’m 4+4 and due October 11th.

Am currently petrified something is going to go wrong- I thought seeing 2 lines after all the waiting through the IVF would be the end of the worry, but it’s worse now than ever.

I am counting down the days until our 7 week scan 😞

Peaky1 set up the facebook group so to join I think you have to friend request Christina Peak ( the photo is her in uniform with her baby) and ask to be added to the secret group.

She will remove you again once she has added you to the group :)

IcyToes · 05/02/2019 18:50

I've also just been added as an admin for the Facebook group so feel free to pm me for the details :)

Womblove · 05/02/2019 21:32

Wow check our lost grow, I am the only mad one with 4th baby ;)

The sicky vibes have truly set in, although its nice to "feel" pregnancy symptoms I feel bleeurgh most of the day.

Anyone else feeling colder than normal? I never had this with other pregnancies but I am cold all the time, wearing my coat at home. In bed I wore two cardigans and two pairs of socks!

I googled it and apparently its not normal I should be feeling warmer.... so I searched on mumsnet and was relieved to see many posts of pregnant women around 6 weeks freezing.

Sore boobs too which I have never had with others so just goes to show you how different each pregnancy can be.

Quick count may have got it wrong but

19 - 1st babies
12 - 2nd babies
1- 3rd baby
1- 4th baby

Trinnidad · 05/02/2019 21:39

I have been freezing! How many weeks/days are you @Womblove? I think I was 5 weeks yesterday/today. Lots of heavy/rippling tummy feelings and starting to yawn more, but no nausea yet. Worried what it might be like! I don't remember my Mum ever remarking much on MS in her four pregnancies, so maybe it wasn't too bad and I'll inherit that...?! Wishful thinking!

Womblove · 05/02/2019 21:44

You never know, my mother had five, all very different and so many she can't remember ha ha! Each of my pregnancies have been different, this is my 4th. Seeing as there is a 9 year gap since last pregnant I am hoping I have reverted back to like my first baby where i was mildly icky for 12 weeks.... wishful thinking!

I am 6 weeks and 1 day.... that one day means everything ;)

I had lots of tummy twinges and cramps during my 5th week too, they seem to have calmed down this week.

Glad to hear I am not the only one chilly.

Glitterandunicorns · 05/02/2019 21:51

Hi ladies! Welcome and congratulations to our new folks.

@Womblove I've been mega chilly this week, but to be fair, it has been really cold!

I'm 5+5 today and all week I've been having cramps and heavy feelings like my period was due. I've been on knicker watch ever since I got my BFP. I've had a few pink and brown spots but only on wiping and they've been tiny. I'm hoping it's normal as the cramps haven't been bad.

Hope you're all doing well!

Womblove · 05/02/2019 22:04

@Womblove yes during my 5th weeks I kept pulling my pants down to check too! ;)

Bramble1983 · 05/02/2019 22:04

@glitterandunicorns it makes me feel very relieved to hear that- I’m 4+4 from IVF and keep having a big panic about the cramping; it’s not painful more pressure / uncomfortable but very definitely there and I keep worrying something is wrong.

@womblove hearing someone else talking about cramps also makes me feel a bit better.

Today / tonight has been the first time i’ve started to feel a bit sickly; I’m torn between really wanting to feel sick as I know it’s a good sign and clearly not, because it’s not very pleasant 😂

BHillary · 05/02/2019 22:05

@womblove I'm baby #4 too EDD 12th Oct x

Womblove · 05/02/2019 22:17

Yay @BHillary glad I am not the only one x

Womblove · 05/02/2019 22:18

@BHillary what are your age gaps?

Mine are 16 next month, 12 and 9yrs

DustyDoorframes · 05/02/2019 22:31

I'm a third timer but scared add myself to the list in case it tempts fate (or I muck it up on my phone!). I started a third timers and more thread on the antenatal clubs board- there's a few of us about but we are scattered across the months...
@Womblove I feel like you are our guru- you've got such perspective across the age groups! It's brilliant!

Scattyscot · 05/02/2019 22:41

Where is everyone from? I'm from Glasgow.

BHillary · 05/02/2019 22:49

@womblove
We must be crazy!
I have two five year olds and a three year old x

DustyShoes · 06/02/2019 10:22

Oh my gosh, I can't believe how many newbies there are - congratulations everyone!

I'm starting to really suffer with nausea now, and thought I might actually vomit for the first time last night. I'm struggling to keep it together at work as I feel like I need to lie down. I am clinging to the fact that this is a good sign though.

The only things I have been able to stomach for the last few days have been beige. Plain pasta, plain porridge, dry crackers.

@Scattyscot I'm in South Manchester

Adding myself to the list :)

Are people getting sharp pulling pains when they sneeze/cough/laugh? If I feel a sneeze coming on I have to almost hold my belly and brace myself for it! After some googling it's because the ligaments are all stretchy so it pulls them? 🤷🏼‍♀️ still no MS for me but having occasional nausea where I feel only what I can describe as 'bleugh' and just want to lie down 😂 booked in for an early scan for when I'll be 8+2 on Monday, feeling nervy already but also excited 🤞🏼

Dimblebimble · 06/02/2019 12:20

Is it just me that's become an emotional wreck?! Before I'd even missed my period I found myself picking an argument with dh (we never argue) and today I burst into tears because he'd eaten the last of the coronation chicken I was planning to have in my sandwich. Wtf?! I'm 6 weeks on Friday so surely it's too early to be this emotional? In my last pregnancy (ended in mc) I didn't feel like this, but then I didn't have many symptoms full stop.

DustyDoorframes · 06/02/2019 12:44

dimble I'm very very grumpy with poor old DP and kids and I'm 6 weeks too.
Ugh, feeling very grey and nauseous at work today, I can't concentrate at all! I just want to go home to bed but I've sooooo much to doooooo!!!
