Hello. I thought I'd start a thread for anyone that has had the good news that they are due October 2019. We can go through these looong early weeks together.

I'm 33, first pregnancy
Cycle 6
Currently cycle day 21/12 doo. First BFP at 10 dpo.

I am now testing daily to see if my BFPs are getting stronger. Also still checking temps. Anyone else feel like they have to tip toe around at this stage as everything seems so fragile?

@Katiebaby13

I highly recommend doing a Hypnobirthing course, with my 2nd I got a cd, read up on it, did some practicing and it helped me to a certain point but I didn't have the tools when I got to hospital.

Third time I dug much deeper into, informed myself on my birth rights, hospital protocols, understanding the birth process - what enables and hinders it etc managing the birth environment, how my partner can help me and so on... so much more than just relaxation techniques which I have to say are fantastic!

I recommend you book on to a course, 1-2-1 if possible as then its personalised around you. People spend so much money on prams and a load of stuff they don't really need or as expensive as they ones they choose when every penny on a hypnobirth course is worth it IF you make use of it and practice and make it work for you.

I suggest have a google there are many out there, Wise Hippo, Marie Mongan, KG Hypnobirthing and some hospitals offer courses too at a discounted rate but again ones on scale with large group are one glove fits all and that maybe ok for many people.

I don't feel those cheap online courses are much good as they don't give you a deep understanding or the support, probably better as a refresher if you have had a previous hypnobirth.

One of the great things is its lovely for bonding with your baby during pregnancy putting time aside for them as you practice and helping you feel positive and happy.

Neatly got sick in the supermarket today. Can recommend salted popcorn against the nausea.

MamaDane · 02/02/2019 12:02

*nearly

DustyDoorframes · 02/02/2019 12:09

@MamaDane snurk re neatly being sick. I think there's a few brilliant women on here who can achieve that thanks to all the practice... Hmm

DustyDoorframes · 02/02/2019 12:10

Emoji fail!!! I didn't mean to add a weird face!!!

Womblove · 02/02/2019 12:13

@MamaDane yikes - glad you got the popcorn!

Rememberallball · 02/02/2019 12:22

@womblove. Thank you for all that information. I’m going to sit down and go through it all later - at the moment I’m racking a mountain of ironing from our ivf trip to Cyprus and ready for our cruise on Monday!!

Womblove · 02/02/2019 12:31

@Rememberallball :)

Also on the facebook link people have shared their csec birth plan templates in the files section that you may find useful x

Claireb2203 · 02/02/2019 12:55

I used a hypnobirthing book with dd. Read it every night and practiced techniques, best thing I done. Managed to get through labour with that and a tens machine, and gas and air when pushing. Hypnobirthing is brilliant. It's not for everyone, but I personally highly recommend it

Katiebaby13 · 02/02/2019 13:54

Thank you @Womblove really helpful. I will do some research 😊

Womblove · 02/02/2019 14:05

@Claireb2203 sounds great, which book did you read! x

Claireb2203 · 02/02/2019 14:55

@Womblove it's called The hypnobirthing book by Katherine Graves. Brilliant book

Womblove · 02/02/2019 14:57

@Claireb2203 ah yes my favourite one!

Claireb2203 · 02/02/2019 21:10

How's everyone's hormones? I've been really snappy on and off past few days and tonight very tearful. Hate this bit, so hard to try and control it too

Sienna9522 · 02/02/2019 21:17

@claireb2203 my hormones are all over the place. I’ve felt angry, tearful, guilty. I hope they even out soon because it’s really impacting on my relationship.

pinkpig381 · 02/02/2019 21:52

@Claireb2203 mine have been all over, one day I love my DH more than anything and the next he does nothing but annoy me and I want to be alone 😂🤦‍♀️ very sensitive too, littlest things and I'm in tears!

Sienna9522 · 02/02/2019 22:16

@pinkpig381 I’m so glad it’s not just me. Last night DP was annoying me for no reason and I must have wished several times that I was on my own in bed.

Dyra · 02/02/2019 22:33

I get annoyed and snappy at my husband very easily at the moment. But then how much that is hormonal and what is normal is hard to tell. Grin No signs of over emotional tearfulness like I had last time though. Hoping to miss out on that one.

pinkpig381 · 02/02/2019 22:37

@Dyra @Sienna9522 glad it's not just me being annoyed by DH 😂 anyone really, my patience just seems to have disappeared!

TubbyMcFatfuck · 02/02/2019 23:04

Hiya everyone!

Did a test on Thursday evening after my period was 2 days late and looks like I'm about 4 weeks pg and due 8th October Smile
I'm 39 and this will be my 2nd baby- I have a wee girl who's a year and a half old.

Don't have any symptoms yet but I remember constant queasiness from about weeks 6-12 and the I got horrendous Carpal Tunnel in the last couple of months so I'm praying that doesn't return!

Congratulations to everyone!

I’ve prematurely booked an early scan. I’m only 4 weeks and planned to wait until I’m at least 5. If I get that far, I’ll be 7+3 when I have it 🤞🏼

Claireb2203 · 03/02/2019 07:34

Yesterday didn't really have many symptoms just really sore boobs. Today is back ache day, yesterday was fine, today my lower back is killing me , feel like the tin man 😂 crazy how different we can feel from one day to the next. Never suffered back problems with dd

ElkieMacjibe · 03/02/2019 07:48

Hi! Just found out I'm 4 weeks. Already have a one year old. Nausea started already Envyis there a facebook group already?

MamaDane · 03/02/2019 08:26

Welcome @Tubby and @Elkie, congratulations on your pregnancies! 😊

@Claire Honestly my hormones haven't been bad at all (so far). They were far worse last pregnancy, where my DP accidentally elbowed my very sore boob, resulting in me sulking in the bedroom for hours and considered leaving to go to my mum's. Grin
