Hello. I thought I'd start a thread for anyone that has had the good news that they are due October 2019. We can go through these looong early weeks together.

I'm 33, first pregnancy
Cycle 6
Currently cycle day 21/12 doo. First BFP at 10 dpo.

I am now testing daily to see if my BFPs are getting stronger. Also still checking temps. Anyone else feel like they have to tip toe around at this stage as everything seems so fragile?

Problem is I’ve spent so much on pregnancy tests I can’t afford to have a baby now Grin

neuroticnumpty · 31/01/2019 10:34

I've just had a positive test! Can't quite believe it yet. I think I'll be due 9 October x

Rememberallball · 31/01/2019 10:49

@Ambs81, you can get 4x FRER for under £14 on Amazon - or a bunch of ic for about £3-5!!

Charlicat · 31/01/2019 10:56

It still feels so surreal and think it will for quite a while! This is my first pregnancy, after nearly 15 years on the pill I expected to take quite a while to conceive, but we managed in only our second month of trying.

I’ve got a slight twinge in my back today under my left rib cage which is making me a little anxious, especially after a good friend had an ectopic last year. I think I’m going to spend the next 9 months over analysing and panicking about every little twinge Confused

Ambs81 · 31/01/2019 11:11

@rememberallball
I should ordered bulk, ivegot amazon prime too ffs!!
I have one left now, and I’ll save that until Saturday - once I’ve got a really strong line I should chill out...in theory

Congrats @neuroticnumpty!!!

Mcstark7 · 31/01/2019 11:15

Hey how's everyone keeping? I'd like to join this group if that's ok

A bit about myself
Got my BFP last week 🤗
Baby #2
Still breastfeeding DD once a day
A wee bit more anxious this time round
Symptoms so far are very tired and sore boobs! I didn't vomit with DD so I'm hoping this pregnancy will be just as good

Looking forward to reading everyone's updates 😊

MamaDane · 31/01/2019 11:40

I went to get an early scan today because of some bleeding and cramps in my right side last night.

It turns out things seem fine.

And not only that... But there's 2, you guys.

I am shitting myself. But can't stop grinning. 😂

IcyToes · 31/01/2019 11:42

@mcstark7 congratulations!

How old is your DD? DS is 17 months and still feeding on demand and I've got no clue how I'm going to dial it back. Confused
Will you aim to wean before October or are you considering tandem feeding?

IcyToes · 31/01/2019 11:45

@MamaDane, wow congratulations! That is so exciting! Do twins run in your family?

Do you have other kids or will these be your first?

Mcstark7 · 31/01/2019 11:52

@MamaDane wow congratulations this is class. I'm buzzing for you two!! It'll be hard work but so worth it having two little babies growing up so close ❤️

@IcyToes DD is 13 month. I started to wean preciously, however she had different plans and ended up increasing feeds again with teething. I'm not sure, in no rush to stop yet if I know I can comfort her. Probably will have weaned by October as I've heard it gets very sore 🙈 Have you found bf sore with pregnancy? What's your plans ? Xx

Ambs81 · 31/01/2019 11:53

Wow @mamadane that is crazy!!

IcyToes · 31/01/2019 11:59

@Mcstark7 yes I've found it a bit uncomfortable at times, exhausting too. I think I'd like to at least get down to just feeding at bed time by his second Birthday. He can go without when I'm at work or he's at creche so I know it's possible but when we are together he's forever demanding boob and it's like you say if it comforts him I don't want to say no.

I'm not ruling out tandem feeding as I do wonder if it would help him accept a new baby more readily and not be jealous. He's fiercly independent and so as his language grows perhaps I can explain that milk is for babies and do it that way.

MamaDane · 31/01/2019 12:01

@IcyToes thank you!! No natural twins just ivf cousins but these bubs were made via insemination and hormones as well. It's going to be our first (and second 😳) but I did have a miscarriage last year 9th week of pregnancy, so still apprehensive about getting too emotionally invested. Will relax at 2nd trimester.

Our two blobs in each of their yolk sacks (fraternal) at 5+3.

Due October 2019
Mcstark7 · 31/01/2019 12:17

@IcyToes I think it would be such an achievement to tandem feed. That was always a goal I had. I reduced feeds to get my cycle back so we could conceive, at the minute it's only during the night or early morning feeds and also a top up at bed time as she now refuses the bottle when she's ready to sleep. I'll use you for motivation to keep going 😉
When is #2 roughly due? My date is for end of sept, but I'm thinking it'll change to 2nd oct based on ovulation

DustyShoes · 31/01/2019 12:26

Congratulations @MamaDane what an exciting adventure you have ahead of you!

Congratulations @Mcstark7!
@MamaDane how exciting! Lovely news!

DustyDoorframes · 31/01/2019 13:01

@MamaDane congratulations!! Super exciting!!

@IcyToes and @Mcstark7 , I fed DS til I was 4months along with DD, and then my milk dried up. He was remarkably ok with it! He did ask to feed once, when she was a couple of months old, but we both found it weird, and he'd forgotten how to latch on. So no tandeming for us!
DD is still breastfeeding at bedtime and in the night (and in the afternoon if I want a sleep with her... loving the first tri exhaustion...). I'm hoping she's just ok with leaving off when my milk goes, I'm not up for dry nursing, it's sore!!!

angel0071987 · 31/01/2019 13:52

I fed my ds last pregnacy until 11weeeks and my milk almost dried up and was very sore and he stopped on his own. It was just one feed a day by then anyway. I miscarried at 15weeks and due to being induced my milk came in again. And was flowing so much I re offered it to him for couple of weeks. He didn't really like the colostrum taste so stopped. He was 18months.

Rememberallball · 31/01/2019 13:57

Congratulations @MamaDane. Twins is fantastic news and what a lovely early scan picture!!

I got my blood results from the hCG done on tuesday (13dpt). Previous test was done last Wednesday at 7dpt. Last week it was 99 and they said was high for 7dpt - I had 2 embryos transferred on January 16th. We were told to expect Tuesday’s result to be around 800; when it came back today it was 2,445. I had another one done today and hope to have the result back today or tomorrow morning.

Snootie4Bear · 31/01/2019 14:15

@summertimehere - how did you restore your faith? I agree with you about it being touch and go. I feel the same. Thanks hun. It's nice to have someone so close to me in stats! I'm happy for you too and everyone else here. It's like being on mountain!

@Ambs81 - I get the FRER bundle on Amazon too. Thankfully, they arrive quickly! I'm wishing the days away too. Had enough of a history to want to be in the danger zone :(

@Charlicat - panicking is so easily done! I'm trying mindfulness, positive thinking and living in the moment to keep centered and calm. I have The Five Minute Journal by Intelligent Change again from Amazon. Bit costly but it's the best one I could find. Started it in October and I feel it really helps.

CONGRATULATIONS 🎉🎉🎉🎉 @neuroticnumpty @Mcstark7 and @MamaDane OMGGG the ultimate!!!!

No updates from me besides the fact that I wonder if and when my cat will know I'm pregnant. Anyone have any stories or experience? Thinking of incorporating some daily meditation time for inner and psychological balance. Morning would probably be better.

DustyDoorframes · 31/01/2019 15:20

@angel0071987 that sounds really tough! And hard to relax into this pregnancy.
@Rememberallball wow! You've got a party going on in there!!!

@saffy347

I'm ignoring everything lol. Just keeping my mind busy. I'll go mental otherwise. It'll be what it'll be and nothing will change that Smile

MamaDane · 31/01/2019 17:55

Thank you, everyone!!

@Snootie4Bear my male cat loves to lie on my tummy and I feel like my female cat has been ignoring me (even though I've had her since she could open her eyes) I think they know.
