Hello. I thought I'd start a thread for anyone that has had the good news that they are due October 2019. We can go through these looong early weeks together.

I'm 33, first pregnancy
Cycle 6
Currently cycle day 21/12 doo. First BFP at 10 dpo.

I am now testing daily to see if my BFPs are getting stronger. Also still checking temps. Anyone else feel like they have to tip toe around at this stage as everything seems so fragile?

Picked up my pregnancy pack got to email to book in. Clear Blue says 2 -3 weeks, last period was 31st Dec so I guess 4 and half weeks??

pickledpeanut · 30/01/2019 18:13

Hi Ladies,

hope you're all feeling okay. I had a transvaginal scan at the EPU today and it confirmed that my copper coil is still exactly where it should be so I'm still flabbergasted, I was convinced it had fallen out or at least shifted... Too early to even see a sack apparently but my hcp has risen from 31 on Monday to 86 today so hormone wise it's progressing normally according to the midwife (although this seems on the low side to me).

I've got to go back on the 13th for another scan to see where it's implanted and if the pregnancy is still viable although I've got to call them back if I start any symptoms because of the risk of eptopic.

Does anyone have any experience of 'coil babies'. The uncertainty of it all is driving me crazy.

Happy to have found this thread! 41 years old. 4w+4. Found out 3 days ago, accidentally when trying to track rising LH levels!! Trying for 6 years. Ectopic in 2015, huge shock as didn't know I was pregnant. Went for IVF 2018, got told I had low AMH and not to bother with my own eggs coz they're non-existent. Foolishly and desperately, took the advice to have donor egg IVF. Had a transfer last June at a cost of £10k. Put £8k on credit cards. Ended at 5+1. Chemical pregnancy. Cycles have been irregular. Last one was 42 days so no idea if I was ovulating and when. Thought I'd track my LH level with Clearblue Digital Ovulation tests but used about 15 with no peak result. Carried on with One Step cheapies. LH was still rising so thought I'd just do a cheap internet pregnancy test and shockingly the lines came up!! Puts my estimated date at 5 October - my birthday week! Don't want to get too excited so just keeping calm and still. 6 week scan booked at EPU for next Saturday and been told to look for antenatal care. Bit dumbfounded. DH has 2 from previous so not as important to him as it is to me. Still doing cheap pregnancy tests and the line is nice and bright. Done 2 FRERs which are bright too but saving them for W5 and W6. Got everything crossed for the next 10 days!!

DustyShoes · 30/01/2019 18:41

@snootie4bear

Congrats that’s amazing - so you’ve conceived with no ivf/ no donor??? That’s incredible.
I have everything crossed for you! I’m 10dpo have been getting BFP since 8dpo (which makes me think ovulation happened earlier then I think it did!!!)

Glitterandunicorns · 30/01/2019 19:07

Wow @Snootie4Bear that's amazing. Congratulations! X

summertimehere · 30/01/2019 20:02

Can I ask what HCP is and how you test for it???
I'm still in shock and still don't fully believe im pregnant and apart from few cramps feel normal! I had 5 positive tests lol so pretty sure they can't all be wrong (and no period!) but just want some more proof!!!! Xxx

Snootie4Bear · 30/01/2019 20:17

Thanks everyone!! (Sorry for not tagging individuals, shit memory LOL) Yes this is a miracle, total fluke of a cycle. I really can't wrap my head around it. I took my mind off it all from the failed IVF. Was so angry with myself for believing the 'experts' and completely giving up on my body. Took me a while to deal with the anger. I'd be awake at night, having palpitations over the money we splashed at the problem coz I was desperate to hold a baby in my arms. Then came the anger for giving up on my amazing, beautiful, perfect body and sheer hatred for the thought of having a baby with someone else's genes - like the product of a one-night stand my DH had with a total stranger!!! All pressure placed on me being told my own eggs didn't stand a chance in hell of giving me my own baby!! We had the next transfer booked for Dec 2018 but from September, I started to feel very, very differently towards it. No longer did I feel I was running out of time. I had a huge shift in my mindset and stumbled across the book Spirit Babies on Amazon, thankfully. The plan this year was to go at it every month for the whole year, with no missed chances and then revisit IVF if necessary at a later date. So glad I finally connected with my inner essence and read that book. I dodged another £3k IVF bill and more negativity and self-created bullshit! I just feel hugely blessed and just wanna inch forward day-by-day and not get too carried away in celebrations. I'm very aware of my history and age, so I'm going to carry on perceiving and believing and keeping positive and in high spirits!!!

Snootie4Bear · 30/01/2019 20:50

Wow @summertimehere, same age, so you know how I feel lol! Is this your first too? This feels like the start of my 7th year, more than the end of the journey! That'll be when BabyBear arrives safe and well on my chest!

summertimehere · 30/01/2019 21:01

Yes first too, had mmc last year and cp and problems following erpc, your last post made me smile as I’d lost my faith in it all and in me and my body, and I found it again found faith and hope and just that belief that it would work out, I don’t know how this will go yet, it’s touch and go but I just know one way or other I will be a mother, I’m so happy for you and all the other girls on here

Glitterandunicorns · 30/01/2019 21:21

Hi @LaurenSl. Do you mean HCG? If so, that's the chemical produced by the body when you're pregnant. The fact you've had positive pregnancy tests proves you have HCG in your system, as that is what causes the positive test.
There are only two ways to get further reassurance; blood tests taken over a day or two to monitor the increase of HCG, or a scan.
Unless you have any concerns (bleeding, really bad pain etc) then you're best off booking a private reassurance scan, but I'd suggest it's not worth doing that before about seven or eight weeks just in case your dates are out.
Best of luck!

LaurenSl · 30/01/2019 21:25

@Glitterandunicorns thank you!!!

Rememberallball · 30/01/2019 21:51

@LaurenSI, I think it’s supposed to be hCG not HCP (which actually means health care professional). hCG is human chorionic gonadotropin which your body only produces naturally if you are pregnant. People having ivf often have hCG detected after their trigger shot which is why you are advised to wait 12 days before testing post embryo transfer!!

Hi I'm new to all this but thought this looks like a great place to meet other people in same boat. Pregnant for the first time. I'm 39 so older mum. A little anxious about this and hoping all works out. So excited We found out on Sunday after second cycle. Due 7 October. Am feeling really tired today. Exhausted, is this normal at this stage?

Glitterandunicorns · 30/01/2019 22:41

Welcome @Scattyscot! Congratulations! Exhaustion certainly is normal in the early days. I'm 4 weeks +6 and the tiredness hit me like a ton of bricks today!

Scattyscot · 30/01/2019 22:59

Thank you Glitterandunicorns. I'm 4 plus 2. Yeah really has taken its toll. My boyfriend doesn't understand. Thinks I'm overreacting way too early. Hoping it passes and I brighten up soon.

Snootie4Bear · 30/01/2019 23:34

@ScattyScot @GlitterAndUnicorns I found out Sunday and am 4+4 today! EDD 5 Oct. Had a strong wave of tiredness and irritability today! I'm first-time and older too.

Hey @Peaky1 sent a little friend request would love to join fb group, things looking up but afraid to say it got 3+ on Clearblue digital this morning which fits exactly at 5 weeks, all a bit wired as I’ve no symptoms no tiredness feel great unless the progesterone suppositories are masking it all, glad to see lots of Oct newbies

DustyShoes · 31/01/2019 08:37

Eeek @summertimehere so pleased for you!
