Hello. I thought I'd start a thread for anyone that has had the good news that they are due October 2019. We can go through these looong early weeks together.

I'm 33, first pregnancy
Cycle 6
Currently cycle day 21/12 doo. First BFP at 10 dpo.

I am now testing daily to see if my BFPs are getting stronger. Also still checking temps. Anyone else feel like they have to tip toe around at this stage as everything seems so fragile?

Congrats to all of you with recent BFP's!

Apologies for mentioning a Facebook group and then vanishing. I was drowning in work and a weekend of toddler birthday celebrations!

Thanks @pandaobsessed for setting one up! I've sent you a friend request.

Dyra · 29/01/2019 21:55

Tentatively marking my place here. Either I'm 5+4 due 27th September or 5 weeks exactly due 1st October. Depends on if you date from when I think I ovulated or LMP+period length.

Been trying to conceive for nearly 2 years. MC in April last year. 8w loss, stopped developing at 5w according to the scans. However, first dose of Clomid seems to have done the job this time around.

Really trying not to get too excited though, as I fear it's only going to happen again. Symptoms have been crampy pains, mild bouts of nausea, boob pain and ravenous hunger. Seeing the doctor on Friday, hopefully I can twist their arm to monitor my hcg.

Fingers crossed for healthy pregnancies all around.

Womblove · 29/01/2019 22:00

@Dyra congrats!!! :)

The ol familiar odd taste in my mouth has arrived so guessing all the right hormones are doing their thing ;)

Glad to feel pregnant so can't complain!

Ambs81 · 29/01/2019 22:13

@dyra
Wishing you lots of luck and a healthy pregnancy!
I had a mc in Nov and delighted to get BFP this month but also anxious, will just try to take each day as it comes.

Dyra · 29/01/2019 22:17

Ty @Womblove. Grin Always wanted an October baby so it still seems unreal. Tests seem to be getting darker though, so that's keeping me mildly sane (though the POAS every 2-3 days still says otherwise).

@pinkpig. No DTD here. Even if it wasn't for the extreme tiredness (how did I forget about the tiredness!) I don't think I would want to. At least not until I see a heartbeat.

pinkpig381 · 29/01/2019 22:51

@Dyra I 100% see where you're coming from, I think that's why I'm not into it! Too worried for my little bean even though I've read so many websites telling me not to 🤦‍♀️ the tiredness is so frustrating, got home from work yesterday and fell asleep on the sofa! Congratulations to you and fingers crossed for everyone for a healthy pregnancy ☺️

Womblove · 30/01/2019 08:13

@pinkpig381 What is DTD?

pinkpig381 · 30/01/2019 08:47

@Womblove doing the deed 😂🍆

Claireb2203 · 30/01/2019 08:57

Has anyone booked in with midwife yet? Picking up my pack today. Tesco have baby event on at the moment so hard not to buy anything

angel0071987 · 30/01/2019 09:11

I'm not allowed to ring midwives here until 6weeks. Can pick up the pack from go reception anytime though. Sign up for Emma's diary and bounty for lots of freebies and samples.

angel0071987 · 30/01/2019 09:13

I have to go out to the shops soon but it's so icy and snowy. I mean the roads are ok once I hit the main one but I HATE ice and snow having fallen and broken wrists 4x on ice. Toddler wants to run and pull me over and I'm so light headed and woozy today. But have no toast or milk so can't even make cuppa here. Trying to brace myself to go out.
Least I'm not nauseous. Yet.
What's everyone else feeling today (other than cold!). I'm 4+7 so guess 5 weeks today :)

DustyShoes · 30/01/2019 09:14

@Ambs81 @starflake congrats. I got worried when I was POAS initially. My test was lighter in the morning that it had been the day before. Then I found this website, which basically says that the first morning urine theory is a bit of a myth...

www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/pregnancy-tests-urine-sample.php

@Caffeinatedbrewofjoy I can’t wait either and will definitely be getting a private scan – there are some good deals on Group On at the moment.

@Dyra congratulations, sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you get some reassurance from the doctor.

@pinkpig381 DH was worried about DTD. We have tried but I was not relaxed at all. When you read about everything that is going on in these first few weeks, it all seems to be so delicate, DTD doesn’t seem right!

@Claireb2203 I called the midwife last week but they said they don’t get the ball rolling until 5 weeks. I am 5 weeks today (whoop!) so will be giving them a ring. I was tempted yesterday to buy some maternity clothes. I am so bloated that my work pants are feeling tight. I reckon in a few more weeks I may want something with a littlemore give. I think I’ll be needing a new bra by then too!

OP posts:
Claireb2203 · 30/01/2019 10:01

@cowbrow is that 5 weeks from conception or last period?

LaurenSl · 30/01/2019 10:08

Hi guys - so I'm 5 + 2 and was excited now just nervous all the time! Getting mild cramps and just worried somethings gonna go wrong!!

Called midwives and first appt Feb 27th then scan in March! Why does that feel a lifetime away?

I'm due around October 1st! Xx

Glitterandunicorns · 30/01/2019 10:29

@Claireb2203 They count it from the first day of your last period. I've just made my midwife appointment and the first one I could get is in two weeks (when I'll be 7 weeks, all things being well!)

MamaDane · 30/01/2019 10:32

@LaurenSI Hi, I'm also 5+2 and I've been having cramps since my first positive test 3+3 really. Worried because of a miscarriage last July at 8 weeks. I'm personally getting an early ultrasound the 11th of February, because I don't want to waste time if it's not viable tbh.

Boadiccea · 30/01/2019 10:47

Morning all & congrats @LaurenSI and @Dyra.

I am utterly exhausted. It's only getting worse to the point it's not even 11am and I cannot keep my eyes open at work!

@CrowBrow I am super bloated too - it feels very odd to be having this issues so early on!

Still no appetite really and it's not great as get lightheaded by later afternoon and then eat easily accessible rubbish Cake Biscuit

DustyShoes · 30/01/2019 12:15

@Claireb2203 it should be from my last period, and for me that would usually be correct, as I usually ovulate on CD 14. This cycle however I ovulated early on CD 11, and got by first BFP @10dpo (CD21), so I have used my ovulation date to calculate my due date/number of weeks.

@LaurenSl its a bloody horrible time waiting isn't it? I have had cramps on and off pretty much every day. Sometimes worse in the evenings. I wish I could just get a snapshot of a year from now to know if everything has worked out ok - despite myself my hopes are getting so high!

OP posts:
LaurenSl · 30/01/2019 12:48

@MamaDane this is my first pregnancy so I'm totally not knowing what to expect.
I'm terrified of miscarriage as so many of my friends have had one or eptopics! Feel I'm not lucky enough to have smooth sailing! Just anxiety kicking in I guess!
Hope your scan goes well! Wish I was further on.

Ladies I too was so bloated all week last week was awful - but have made myself drink 2L a day of water/squash Ans much better this week! Xxx

Ambs81 · 30/01/2019 12:52

@CowBrow
That's really interesting - funny you've shared that as I was just thinking the same thing. I am currently doing a wee about 3am, so I don't think my morning wee is any more concentrated that any other?
I've tested so many times this week, I've just gone and bought so super cheap test from wilko!! Surprise surprise very faint blurry second line, so now I've upset myself worrying. I am still only 10dpo-ish so should stick to the early response tests!! or just stop testing like a maniac!

@MamaDane
I also had a mc in Nov, so will also go for scan - the EPU dept I so during mc said I could go back directly, not via GP, for early scan in next pregnancy - so will def take them up on it but will try to hold out until 8 weeks so I don't need the internal. Of course biggest hope is that the pregnancy lasts until 8 weeks, but I'm just going to think positive and visualise a happy, healthy pregnancy.

Rememberallball · 30/01/2019 12:55

Morning all.

Regarding DtD, DH would like to get back to some fun because he’s been on ‘restricted duties’ since the 29th December when my period started and we were banned from sex by the clinic. They also told me not to until after our bloods tomorrow and we see rising levels - I think he’s hoping for a great night on Friday!!

Regarding Midwives. I rang and left them a message for them on Monday as advised by the GP. He is happy that I don’t have my booking appointment till we get back from the cruise (I will be 10+6 on the day we get back) but the receptionists couldn’t book as the only available dates were 14-28 February. I’m still waiting for a call back from them2 days later.

Blood test yesterday’s result isn’t back yet but might be this afternoon. The surgery didn’t know yesterday how much to charge me for it so I have to pay twice tomorrow when I go for the repeat blood test.

Feeling ok today but very cold - got heating on, gas fire and my heat pad and then sat under a blanket!! I hate the winter when it’s so cold!!

Hope everyone is wel xx

LaurenSl · 30/01/2019 12:56

@CowBrow my cramps seem worse in evening too and more one sided!
Aww rolll on March! X

DustyShoes · 30/01/2019 12:58

@Ambs81 I held my pee for 4+ hours before testing too. Usually did it after work. It was much stronger than morning urine.

DustyShoes · 30/01/2019 12:58

Thanks @LaurenSl glad its not just me :)

I got my BFP yesterday morning and can’t quite believe it! Looking at dates I think I am about 4 weeks pregnant and due 6th October according to the nhs calculator.

No real symptoms yet, some very slight cramping and a bit of nausea but not sure if that’s just in my head now I know!
