I’m sure there’s loads of threads like this!
I’m due March 12th with my first - a little girl.
I have 10+2 days left and I am beyond bored! I have gone through clothes so many times and arranged them, I have washed all the pushchair and Moses basket and cot stuff. I have the majority of stuff we need only need a few minor bits (bathing stuff, extra bedding etc) but waiting on money for that!
I have had the easiest pregnancy only really suffering with back ache and hip pain every so often (touch wood it doesn’t change) and it still doesn’t feel real that I am having a baby but I’m impatient and bored now!
Anyone else feeling the same?!

@IrishAceyMac13 good to hear that everything is ok after that scare. Just let everyone look after you today! And all the best for tomorrow.

Not much going on with me except aches and pains. Baby’s movement is low down in my pelvis which I strange. But don’t think there’s is much going on for now! X

Smilenow2008 · 04/03/2019 10:29

@MummyKaz90 Congratulations on your new arrival. missed the bit about baby's weight though? still catching up on this thread so hope everyone else is ok? ive got 8 days till due date xx

Smilenow2008 · 04/03/2019 10:30

@IrishAceyMac13 glad all ok hope this means you little one will be here soon x

IrishAceyMac13 · 04/03/2019 10:33

Drs been round, I’m still bleeding although it could just be from the cervical exam, so they want to monitor that, if it gets any worse then they will more than likely bring the induction forward to tonight, if not then tomorrow as planned!

@beherenow32 - thank you! I was terrified that something was wrong and that I’d lost my baby girl, I can’t wait to get her out safely! Thank you :) x

@smilenow2008 - thank you I’m glad all is okay too! I hope you and baby are all good x

HidCat · 04/03/2019 17:59

@IrishAceyMac13 yikes! Glad everything is ok. Good luck with tomorrow!

Firsttimetobe2019 · 04/03/2019 18:46

@IrishAceyMac13 - ooo good luck how exciting!

I have an update too!
Went up for reduced movements, yet again! The midwife had a feel and couldn't figure out where babies head or ass was so I had a presentation scan and from that they decided to do a sweep. Oh my gosh. I wasn't ready for that😂 and I have an induction date booked for Saturday!

@IrishAceyMac13 good luck for tomorrow!!

@Firsttimetobe2019 oh wow! Things are moving faster than you expected then. How was the sweep? I'm not sure whether to accept mine when offered, was it painful?

BeHereNowx32 · 04/03/2019 19:05

@Firsttimetobe2019 that must have been a surprise! Baby should be here soon then!

Nothing going on with me, except sciatic and leg pain 🙄 xx

Firsttimetobe2019 · 04/03/2019 19:30

@BeHereNowx32 @CaseofEllen

I've had a bleed and a clot pass which is apparently normal, I'm hoping that means it's worked!

I'm not going to beat around the bush as I was led to believe they're not that bad!
You've got to lay there heels together, pulled to your bum, she goes in feeling for the opening of the cervix - that but wasn't too bad, bit uncomfortable as expected but you can breathe through it! Me being me thought that's it can't be much worse. I was told she could feel her head and I was 1.5 cm dilated! She then said "squeeze my hands, grit your teeth, count to 10 and breathe" she starts literally swirling like a mixing bowl as you can imagine it's rather high up inside you and hurts like a lot of pressure! As soon as your done and you've calmed down your fine! I was shaking like a leaf and red hot but honestly if I can grit through, anyone can! Xx

@Firsttimetobe2019 this better work for you then!!! I’m really hoping to avoid a sweep anyway 😟

Just been sick, so wonder if my hormones are going crazy.

Good luck! X

My baby girl was born this morning at 07.00 weighing 5lb11oz. The birth was absolutely traumatic, first off I got left on the ward for 7 hours with absolutely no pain relief, because they didn’t believe I was dilating. Then I got moved to labor ward and once again had no pain relief because they didn’t think I would have dilated any more from 4am. The dr finally examed me 2 hours later and low and behold baby girl was crowning.
Ended up with no pain relief what so ever having been awake for 27 hours by this point!
All worth it though she is an angel and I’m so in love 💕

Firsttimetobe2019 · 05/03/2019 10:56

@IrishAceyMac13 Congratulations Hun! Hospitals are useless in so many ways! At least she's here happy and healthy! She wasn't that big then! Enjoy her! ❤️

Hoping my little one will make an appearance some time this week, I've had a niggly back since the sweep, I've lost some of my plug but nothing since last night sign wise! I feel back to normal again, no discharge just back ache!

@IrishAceyMac13 what a shame. You haven’t had an easy journey. Good that baby is here safe now! Hope you can recover quick after all that. Congrats!

@Firsttimetobe2019 sounds like the start of something for you. I just feel a bit rough, with a tender tummy. Keep us updated xx

IrishAceyMac13 · 05/03/2019 11:55

The drs just been in to me and to make matters worse, the midwife who didn’t even believe I was in labor gave me an injection to help deliver the placenta, when it clearly states in my notes that I shouldn’t have that injection as I’m on blood thinners. I don’t know how they got it so wrong, but here is a pic of my wee miracle who was heaven sent 💕

Due in March and so bored.
BeHereNowx32 · 05/03/2019 12:09

@IrishAceyMac13 that’s so awful!! Your baby is so beautiful and looks healthy too 😊 x

CaseofEllen · 05/03/2019 12:39

@IrishAceyMac13 congratulations!! She is absolutely beaut Grin also, how did the midwife get it so wrong?? I would not be happy! I hope it doesn't cause you too many problems xx

Smilenow2008 · 05/03/2019 16:50

@IrishAceyMac13
Congratulations hun xx

Firsttimetobe2019 · 05/03/2019 18:06

@IrishAceyMac13 she is beaut!! Does she have a lot of hair?!

Still no pains or anything but the rest of my plug has made its way out! Done pineapple, the ball and a bottle of raspberry leaf tea (1 litre) no pains yet! Hoping I go into natural labour before Friday so I don't need an induction!

HidCat · 05/03/2019 18:59

@IrishAceyMac13 OMG I can't believe they left you so long! Congratulations on having your little girl, I hope they're looking after you in recovery though.

BeHereNowx32 · 06/03/2019 10:42

@Firsttimetobe2019 how are you feeling now after the sweep?

@IrishAceyMac13 hope you and baby are doing ok, and settled back home now xx

Firsttimetobe2019 · 06/03/2019 13:13

@BeHereNowx32 I'm feeling better, not so sore down there, still no signs of labour🙄 Seeing my midwife on Friday before the induction so she might do another sweep, not 100% as of yet! But really hoping things start to happen! Since losing my plug, discharge has cleared up completely so I'm unsure what's going on on that sense!

Firsttimetobe2019 · 06/03/2019 13:14

@BeHereNowx32 how are you? Any progress??

OP posts:
BeHereNowx32 · 06/03/2019 13:23

@Firsttimetobe2019 I really thought that things were going to start for you! It’s got to happen at some I guess.

No, nothing for me. I woke up during the night, and my stomach muscles were burning. I thought this it! But it’s away now. 😅

Xx

IrishAceyMac13 · 06/03/2019 14:25

Hi ladies!
Checking in to see if any of you have had your wonderful bundle of joys yet! We are going home today and I can’t wait!
Thank you all for the congratulations, she is absolutely perfect and I’m so in love with her!
She has loads of hair; this is the back of her head 😁
I think we saw in every hour of last night but she is worth every sleep deprived second 💕

BeHereNowx32 · 06/03/2019 16:53

@IrishAceyMac13 so sweet! Still can’t imagine that I have one of those inside me!
Feeling quite sore and sick. But just taking this easy. All the best with your first night at home xx
