I’m sure there’s loads of threads like this!
I’m due March 12th with my first - a little girl.
I have 10+2 days left and I am beyond bored! I have gone through clothes so many times and arranged them, I have washed all the pushchair and Moses basket and cot stuff. I have the majority of stuff we need only need a few minor bits (bathing stuff, extra bedding etc) but waiting on money for that!
I have had the easiest pregnancy only really suffering with back ache and hip pain every so often (touch wood it doesn’t change) and it still doesn’t feel real that I am having a baby but I’m impatient and bored now!
Anyone else feeling the same?!

I'm 38+5 and soooo ready for her to be here! But no signs as of yet... No bloody show, no contractions (not even Braxton Hicks!), nothing. I HAVE been feeling more pelvic pain and pressure low down, and I've been needing to wee more often (been to the midwife and had urine tested and it's not an infection), so I think she may be starting to engage. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking.... Grin

HidCat · 28/02/2019 21:19

@Mummykaz90 urgh that sounds so frustrating! I really hope things get going for you.

38weeks tomorrow and had painful BH all evening again. Baby seems to have turned so that she's kicking forwards which is freaking me out a bit! Midwife tomorrow though so we'll see which way she is lying then. At least from tomorrow it's March so the final countdown!

BeHereNowx32 · 28/02/2019 21:49

@HidCat could be contractions! 👏
I’m grtting a lot of tightening but no pain with it yet..

Good luck! X

Firsttimetobe2019 · 01/03/2019 10:44

@HidCat How exciting!
It literally is countdown time now😬 11 days till I hit due date!
Baby keeps moving in and out of position I think, yesterday there was lots of back pain and kicks towards the back of my ribs and today her kicks are very high but I'm not 100%! The ball is honestly my saviour I did around 3 hours overall yesterday and nearly fell asleep on it at one point😂

@HidCat how are the Braxton Hicks? I’m getting tightening very, very frequently. But only a few times it has actually been painful. Feel a little feverish and sick, which I hate.

Hope everyone ok x

HidCat · 01/03/2019 16:09

Saw midwife today and ended up with antibiotics for a UTI. Apparently the symptoms are very similar to early signs of labour...🤦🏼‍♀️

BeHereNowx32 · 01/03/2019 16:45

@HidCat oh no! Did she say if baby felt far down or engaged yet? Not that it means anything tbf.
I’m quite achey today... xx

Firsttimetobe2019 · 01/03/2019 16:45

@HidCat I had that a few weeks ago, had tightness, back pain the lot, they said Braxton Hicks and a UTI which was really irritating my womb.
Feeling rather "meh" today. Think I've had enough, I'm tired, ratty, I have an earache and feel like this baby is never going to come☹️

Evening ladies. I went to see midwife today too. Declined my sweep as first 2 didn't seem to do anything. Plus I think I've got a bit of thrush going on so didn't want her messing down their. Anyways made her book my induction an managed to get it for the 10th. Still really hoping she comes before then. 3rd baby really is the stubborn one. Hmm hope your all doing okay. X

Firsttimetobe2019 · 01/03/2019 19:35

@Mummykaz90 Oh no bless you! At least you have a date now though but everything crossed she makes an entrance before!
How far were you for your first sweep? I'm tempted to ask for one at my next midwife appointment (I'll be 39+3) in getting very impatient so I can only imagine your level of frustration!

@IrishAceyMac13 how's everything going for you lovely - not heard anything in a little while. Hoping you and baby are doing well x

Mummykaz90 · 01/03/2019 20:15

@Firsttimetobe2019 yh well that's it at least I have a definate date but would rather her come beforehand. My other 2 children came at 36 weeks. Hmm...erm I was 38+4 and 39+4. And baby was engaged both times and been at 1cm both times. I just guess for some people it works and others it doesn't. Oh God yes I'm so frustrated and irratable my poor dh I keep biting his head off...I don't want to wait another 10 days being this uncomfortable Sad lol. Fingers crossed for you that your first sweep works.

IrishAceyMac13 · 02/03/2019 10:44

@firsttimetobe2019 - thanks for thinking of me lovely :) been in and out of hospital as this blood clot on my lungs is making me really poorly, plus little lady’s feet are right by my lungs!
I had a sweep on Wednesday as I was 2cm, I’ve lost my plug and had my bloody show, they kept me in overnight after the sweep to see if things progressed as I’m having mild contractions, they never ramped up so they let me go home and wait it out here. I’m being induced first thing Tuesday morning if she doesn’t arrive naturally before then because of this blood clot. I have so many plans in place with all different consultants and drs at the hospital, because I’m on blood thinning injections twice daily we have had to plan for very serious worse case scenario! The midwife yesterday said everyone and their dog is aware that I need to come in immediately Tuesday morning after I ring delivery suite at 8am! If nothing happens naturally over the weekend then they will break my waters Tuesday morning and then I’m going straight on the hormone drip!
I had to laugh when the dr did my sweep and said I can feel her head and she has hair lol! They can only feel 1/5 of my little ladies head yesterday, the rest is in my pelvis (and don’t i know it) so she is definitely almost ready! Will it be naturally or will I make it to my induction, I have no idea haha.
I hope you and baby are doing well too, not long now! X

HidCat · 02/03/2019 15:26

@BeHereNowx32 baby has been right down for the last couple of weeks to be fair so it's still on the cards but probably not helping the pain levels lol.

@Mummykaz90 sorry your sweep didn't work. I'm starting to think they're a bit pointless so not sure if I'll bother if it's offered. Time will tell.

@IrishAceyMac13 sounds like everything is about as prepared as it can be. Fingers crossed it's all unnecessary and everything is really straightforward!

Mummykaz90 · 02/03/2019 16:30

Hi ladies thought I would give a quick update. I am in labour....started having contractions about half 6 this morning. Started as dull.period pains. About 15-20 mins apart been having them all day they have ramped up in pain and are at 5-6 mins apart now. So fingers crossed meet my Lil bub either tonight or tomorrow. Going to try and stick it at home as long as I can

BeHereNowx32 · 02/03/2019 17:31

@Mummykaz90 great news! 👏 wishing you all the best, and you will be meeting your baby soon.

@IrishAceyMac13 sounds like it’s been a hectic time for you. Hope all goes well in up coming days

Been obsessing with looking out for labour signs. But don’t think much is going on to be honest. So, going to stop that and see what happens. Hopefully we will all be meeting babies soon x

Firsttimetobe2019 · 02/03/2019 18:12

@IrishAceyMac13 Oh no, you've really been put through it! At least everyone and anyone is prepared for you! I hope labour goes smoothly!

@Mummykaz90 how exciting! Good luck! Hope all goes well, I look forward to the update!

@BeHereNowx32 I am in the exact same position as you today! I've decided to stop worrying about it and hope she decides to make an arrival soon! I saw the MLU today it's absolutely gorgeous and I'm really hoping I can be in there! I'll attach photos! They're all really big with baths, music, mood lighting! It all just seems a lot more relaxed! The midwives are lovely aswell so I'm hoping everything goes smoothly!

Fingers and toes crossed that everyone's babies make a healthy, happy arrival sometime soon!

Hiya ladies just wanted to give you a quick update.....had my baby girl last night at 11:48 with only gas and air. Very quick delivery got to hospital at 4 cm..had a half hour walk and was 6cm 30 mins later she was here beautiful and healthy. Thanks for all the support along the way xx

IrishAceyMac13 · 03/03/2019 08:55

Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful baby girl @MummyKaz90 - I’m glad labor was fast and wow you did it on just gas & air that’s amazing! What a great weight too 😊

Today I feel absolutely awful, so sick and at the moment having some strong cramps. I’m going to try and have some breakfast and then give it an hour and see what happens. I was due my injection at 08.30am but I have a 2 hour window either side, so I’ll give it an hour and if things settle I’ll take it, if they stay the same I’ll probably ring my dr for advice to see what they think! God this is such a risky game, I don’t like it!

@hidcat - yep things are definitely as prepared as they can be. I’m trying not to think about what could go wrong, but it’s hard not to after hearing all the terrible possibilities and having to sign forms for blood transfusions and things! What will happen will happen, no point stressing it won’t change the outcome :) I hope you and baby are doing well, thank you for your well wishes!

@beherenow32 - it’s definitely been hectic and I just can’t wait for my wee princess to be here safely, whether that’s naturally or through induction I really don’t mind Smile I hope you and baby are doing well!

@firstimetobe2019 - that MLU looks amazing! I’ll keep everything crossed you get to deliver there 😍🙏🏻 The one at my hospital is so nice too, not that I can use it haha! I really have and it makes me sad that this is the one and only pregnancy I’ll have as I was told I couldn’t even have children, so I’m grateful and anxious to get my wee miracle here safely! Praying you have a smooth labor too and that you get to meet your beautiful wee girl soon 😍

BeHereNowx32 · 03/03/2019 09:12

@Mummykaz90 congrats! So nice that your labour went as smoothly as it did too. Enjoy this time.

@IrishAceyMac13 hopefully this is things are starting off for you. Good luck!

@Firsttimetobe2019 looks lovely! We don’t get to view our MLU and just have to hope there is space when the time comes... how are you feeling? I’m still a crazy lady looking out for signs 🙈 xx

CaseofEllen · 03/03/2019 09:57

@Mummykaz90 congratulations Thanks xx

Firsttimetobe2019 · 03/03/2019 11:05

@Mummykaz90 CONGRATSThanks wishing you all the best on the rest of your journey!

Firsttimetobe2019 · 03/03/2019 11:09

@IrishAceyMac13 Oh bless you, hopefully she makes an easy appearance!
@BeHereNowx32 Still nothing on my end, she's been very wriggly and I've got burning at the top of my bump; more centre this time rather than in my right hand ribs, so I'm hoping this might mean she's getting ready?!

OP posts:
HidCat · 03/03/2019 17:42

@Mummykaz90 congratulations! So glad everything went well and hope you're recovering nicely!

IrishAceyMac13 · 04/03/2019 07:43

Back in hospital AGAIN! Woke up at 2am, went to the loo and there was bright red blood on the pad and when I wiped, safe to say I freaked out!
Turns out it’s just my show getting heavier and baby is fine thankfully!
They’ve examined me and I’m still 2cm but she said a good 2cm and they’ll be able to break my waters easily tomorrow.
Wasn’t planning on spending my last day before becoming a mummy in hospital but never mind, nothing I can do about it now!
Hope everyone else is well :)
